The service was excellent. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and seated. Our waiter even cleaned off a better table for us to sit at. Not very familiar with the wines, our waiter recommended us with one that was delicious and paired well with our meals. The best part - half off bottles on Wednesday’s! Bread and food arrived timely. The food was outstanding. You most definitely get the value that you pay for. The restaurant was quiet and dimly lit, which made for a very romantic and intimate experience. It was my first time here and I will most definitely be coming back!
I really wanted to like this place. If a French restaurant specializes in crepes, I’d hope the ingredients would be fresh. I ordered a grilled chicken, mushroom and spinach crepe. The spinach was frozen, the mushrooms were canned and the chicken was full chicken tenderloins. The service was very good as was the house wine.
Very good food. Excellent service. Have been to Cafe Normandie 3 times.
Wonderful service. They were happy to write separate checks. Thanks so much.
I have visited Cafe Normandie on and off since early 1990. Foods have been consistently good. Price is very reasonable for a French restaurant even if it is not located at a popular tourist district (where else can you get a glass of well-balanced house red wine for $8 these days?)
Great food and service! Couldn't ask for anything more!
amazing food and desserts as usual and impeccable service
Excellent mothers day meal...
Just what I wanted for Mother’s Day. A nice quiet place with great ambiance. The special menu was great and had lots of options for everyone. The service was phenomenal as always.
Enjoyed our Mother’s Day breakfast. Terrific menu, delicious food and outstanding service. Cute ambiance. Felt like we were in Paris. Crab and asparagus omelette was scrumptious!
Went here for breakfast on Mother's day. The food was good, not great. The service was the highlight. That being said, my wife really enjoyed her seafood omelet.
Mothers Day; gracious hostess and waiter. Efficient and patient service (children, rainy weather, upstairs room). Always delicious food, Cafe Normandie is our family go-to for after church dining, and quick get togethers before heading out of town again.
We hadn't been back for a while and are glad we returned. Veal Normandie and Chicken Normandie were delicious. Escargot, also, but I'd have liked the option to order 6 rather than 12. Cerise Normandie a perfect ending.
Best cream of crab soup ever. Enjoyed the scallops, which were cooked perfectly.
It was ok but vegetable dish was very saturated with olive oil. Soft shelled crabs were great.
Delicious! Authentic! Romantic! Cafe Normandie is our favorite place to dine period. The service is professional and warm, the staff is friendly and efficient, the chef is an artist whose love of his craft you can taste in every bite. There is no better gazpacho on the planet. Try it! It compares to none! Wine selection is adventurous and we enjoyed a delicious St. Emilion Grand Cru. Love, love, love Cafe Normandie.
Fabulous restaurant with wonderful food, great location amazing value. Best escargots And amazing mussels we have had anywhere. We will absolutely visit again.
Wow. My husband and I eat here every time we visit Annapolis. We come for the escargot; tender and delicious. You have to soak up the garlic herb butter with the baguette. Instead of fish for a main course (we are on the water) we ordered the Chateaubriand. From the presentation when it arrived at the table to the last bite we could eat, it was absolutely divine. It is the next morning and my husband and I cannot stop thinking about how wonderful it tasted. The tender meat and grilled vegetables were cooked to perfection. We highly recommend the the meal.
This was the seventh time we have dined here. we love it because of the atmosphere, fine food, and great service. It is also a unique, friendly place to entertain out of town guests.
Food is very good- slow service- all orders did not come out at the same time
Lovely ambience in a french bistro setting. Varied and imaginative menu which leans to french bistro cuisine. Vegetarian options on the menu and chef will accommodate changes to dishes. Always very pleasant and knowledgeable waitstaff. Excellent and reasonable wine list and generous cocktail pours.
Overall an underestimated restaurant that has provided Annapolis with excellent food and beverage service for many years. Locals know its worth!
Great experience! It’s our Easter tradition to come here for brunch. The food is delicious and loving the new renovations.
Great venue in the heart of Annapolis - a town icon
Easter Sunday is a very busy time for restaurants. We had reservations and ate brunch that day and it was nice. The Normandie is fairly dark, but it was quiet. We had an omelet and crepes and both were fine. There was nothing outstanding or memorable.
We had a lovely meal at café Normandie. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived, and enjoyed excellent service and generous portions. There was a really nice vibe to it—come as you are to enjoy authentic French food.
The escargots were delicious and I really enjoyed my Annapolis crêpe.
Best waiter I’ve had here in 20 years!!
Restaurant is clean and nice again the way it used to be.
They need new plates and cups that aren’t plastic with “IKEA” on the bottom, but everything else is back to being the best.
Go glad!!! Have been taking my 20 year old son there since he was a baby.
Stopped going a few years ago because it went to hell.
Tried again and so glad we did!!!
Never expected 12 Escargot in an appetizer. They were delicious. Roasted half chicken entree and two whale softshell entree were very good.
Knowledgeable, friendly service.
Great entrees outstanding service
The service we received was so slow and poor that I can't recommend dining at Cafe Normandie unless you have infinite patience and time. While I've eaten there many times and had good service in the past, our waitress this time confused charcuterie with chateau briand. She also had to come back to the table numerous times to clarify our order. Then she disappeared and only re-emerged after one of our party literally walked a credit card to another server so we could pay our bill. It was nearly a three-hour dinner.
For those of us who appreciate fine food, which is so hard to find these days, a visit to Cafe Normandie is like a love story. The story started with the cocktail and continued until the last bite of dessert. After a most satisfying meal, all at our table concluded that Cafe Normandie
was truly an experience to be savored again soon. There are tasty selections for the carnivore, the fish lover and the vegan, all delicious.
Always a delight make sure you park in the garage its cheap and right behind gthem
Oh my goodness. I am never disappointed at Cafe Normandie. The food, the service, the pairing of wines etc are just phenomenal. Recommend it highly.
My husband had onion soup and I had an absolutely delicious halibut sandwich. Great wine, terrific service, lovely environment
Our favorite restaurant. Jean Louis' food is always excellent. The best escargot around and French onion soup as well. My husband's filet mignon was perfectly cooked and luscious. Halibut with figs amazing. This is an Annapolis gem with all the charm of France. Please, never go away! We love you.
The eggs Florentine were the best I have ever had. Too die for. Omelets were perfectly prepared. Service attentive and personal but not intrusive.
Dinner for two at Cafe Normandie on a Saturday night. We really enjoyed our entrees; I ordered the halibut with mango which was one of the specials. Our appetizer was a hot, moist crab cake with portobello mushrooms— an almost entree-sized portion and very delicious. Most people will find something they like on their large menu. Wine list is rather pricey. Great service.
We have been coming here since 1988 and still believe it to be the best restaurant in Annapolis!
Great food and service in a relaxed France Bistro atmosphere.
