   We have dined at Caffe Molise dozens of times over the years and frequently order off their menu when at BTG downstairs. Something was off our most recent visit. Dishes were over cooked and dried out, the pasta seemed like it had been left out and gotten cold, and the bread with the bruschetta seemed stale. Even the coffee we were served was bad, but our outstanding server immediately brought us fresh cups of fresh brew. The server could not fix the food. This is a go-to place for us, especially with friends, so I hope whatever is going on in the kitchen gets addressed right away. I am so concerned that I canceled a group dinner I am planning in a couple of weeks. We’ll give it another chance, just the two of us, sometime soon, but it seems inconsistent to us after our latest experience.

   Caffe Molise. Food quality was outstanding, service was great. Two downers: 1 - Ambient noise. It was hard carrying on a conversation because of the ambient noise. Celebrating an event with people I hadn't seen in a year was the main reason we chose Caffe Molise and while everything else was great we could barely carry on a conversation. 2 - Parking. The Thursday night we went to dinner it was snowing and there was little to no parking close to the restaurant. I had to park in the public parking down at the Sheraton hotel and walk a long city block to get to the restaurant. Be prepared to hoof it to the restaurant!

   We were a party of 5 celebrating a birthday. One member is vegan, three were vegetarian. The positive: Nice atmosphere. The pasta texture was perfect. The greens were fresh. The food was flavorful. The bruschetta appetizer was very good and had a generous amount of marinated diced tomatoes, steamed spinach and bean hummus. The leftover toppings made for an excellent vegan dressing on the dinner salad (the restaurant offers vinegar and oil as their only vegan option). The negative: Quality-control overlooked - - Two of us ordered the spaghettini pomodori, which is plain spaghetti with crushed tomatoes on top (not a sauce), surrounded by a wreath of fresh arugula. Pretty. One order, though, was swimming in water as if the pasta wasn’t drained completely before plating. The arugula wreath hid the “soup.” The server offered a free dessert as an apology; that was thoughtful. If you are vegan 🌱 - - Café Molise has no imagination when it comes to vegan meals. The $18 mostly-plain spaghetti just mentioned above is the only meal option if you order it without cheese. I recommend vegans order the bruschetta appetizer for self as a meal. The side salads come with goat cheese. It wasn’t good and ruined the salads. Too bad because the greens were beautiful. I don’t think the restaurant should make goat cheese as their go-to topping. It’s definitely an acquired taste not many have. Note if walking and steps are a challenge for you: There are many steps up to the front door, and the paid-parking lot is at least a 5-min walk down the block (street parking most-likely occupied).

   The hostess was great at seating us and serving us. The food was very good. I think we all enjoyed it. It was our wedding anniversary celebration, and the restaurant did nothing special for us however. We found the price is quite high and probably will go someplace less expensive with the whole family next time.

    Went for my birthday dinner and it was such a positive experience. Our server answered all of our menu questions with so much knowledge and kindness, and she even helped us take a group photo. The food and drinks were great, and all of us had a wonderful time. We’ll definitely be coming back.

    I had the gnocchi and my husband had the salmon. Both were very good. Our service was very good. We did try their seasonal Sangria. It was really good and I would recommend if you like Sangria to try theirs. We would try it again.

    The food was delicious. Our server was extremely attentive and competent. Our inly complaint was the noise level. We were thinking intimate and quiet and it was quite noisy and open. We were at a table in the middle of a huge room and there was no privacy. We had never been there before and weren’t expecting it to be so loud. Not good for a romantic date but fun for groups, friends co workers etc.

    I love this place both summer and winter. Service is very good. However, I paid $40 for 2 hours parking on the lot next to the restaurant, and until that gets fixed I may not be returning. This lot is apparently owned by Sheraton. There was no way to pay for anything less than 2 hours or more than 1 hour. The sign says $5/hour for 1-2 hours and $10/hour for 2-10 hours. Parking is absolutely ridiculous. Certainly will be a problem come summer if I want to eat a meal in Cafe Molise lovely patio. The only other option is street parking and walking quite a distance. What a rip-off, and what a disappointment. Again, I love everything about the restaurant and the service, but, the parking is a big disappointment.

    Was a wonderful experience for the fiancé and I! The the beef was to die for. The front where we sat was a little cold so if you are sensitive ask for a table towards the back or plan on a warmer day. The restaurant was gorgeous and everyone that helped us that night was delightful.

    We were here to celebrate Valentine's with a nice dinner, and Caffe Molise absolutely delivered. The drinks, appetizer, main courses, and dessert were all delicious and good portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

    We went for Valentine’s Day and when I say I love this place it’s an understatement. However their gnocchi is not gluten free and I easily had the grossest dessert it tasted like a wet mop. Do not order the tiramisu because it was frozen in the center and soaking wet. Not from the raspberries or coffee. I would say come here for lunch. But an elevated dinner was a complete miss. We didn’t want the server to feel bad so we didn’t ask for a refund like we should have on the dessert.

    Our server was so rude it ruined the whole dinner. From the moment he brought out our waters he was arrogant and condescending. We have been to Cafe Molise many times and have even hosted events there. We love the food and atmosphere but we’re very disappointed by the server tonight.

    We were seated immediately even though we were a bit early. Server did a great job asking for our orders, giving recommendations only when asked, explaining the specials, and having answers to our questions about special dietary needs. She was very professional yet warm. We weren't rushed. It did take some time to get our orders in and to get our food to us - but it didn't hit the limit where we felt frustrated. The wine and food, as always, was wonderful. Our table of 4 had two of the specials (King Salmon and Scallops) and two regular entres from the menu. We ended with a couple of desserts to share, coffee and espresso. Service and food were fantastic as always. As the evening wore on and the seats filled, the noise level did increase. It isn't the most private setting but it isn't the noisiest, either. We were checked out timely. The parking to the south of the building is now governed by the Sheraton Hotel and your options are to pay for 0-2 hours or pay more for 2+ hours. At the time of our reservation there was no parking anywhere on the street - we circled the block several times - so we had to use the parking lot. We opted for the 0-2 hours and ended up going over our time by about 15 minutes. We did feel a bit pressured because of that timeline - next time I will add $3 and pay for more time just to ease the worry about having a boot locked onto the tire after dinner. For a weeknight - the place was busy but not packed. I've loved Caffe Molise for a long time and it remains a favorite. The prices are higher - but that is understandable - everything costs more. I can afford to go a few times per year and will continue to do so.
