Sunday Brunch: 9:30am - 2:30pm
Sunday Dinner 5:00pm-9:00pm
I was a little disappointed in my dinner on Sunday. I had the special prime rib roast The cut was very tough and very fatty. For the price of 34.95 it should be a superior cut. Because the side was three heirloom carrots and a tablespoon of mashed potatoes.
I would like to say our waiter was excellent.
Unfortunately this was not what we expected--waited too long for service--large party being planned behind us in the room and we had servers going by us including our server--felt second best--steak was to be done medium well came rare--took 15 minutes to fix and my partner went ahead and ate anyway--he had 4 different servers because of this party(wedding shower)--we were not offered coffee or desert because of all of the above-a lot to spend to feel second class
Celebrated my Mother’s birthday! She really enjoyed the ambiance and the food! So did my son and I. We will be back for sure!
Fantastic Sunday brunch with an amazing selection of fresh and delicious foods. I especially enjoyed the prime rib, glazed ham and banana caramel crepe made to order with chocolate liqueur. Great service too! A must visit for special occasions.
Beautiful restaurant. Amazing food and amazing view.
Fantastic service and food quality as usual, and the view is fantastic
Better access for handicapped needed. Elevator is far away from central parking. Ramped area is way too long for people using assistive devices (cane, wheelchair, etc).
Food and service was BEYOND our expectations!!! Server was extremely attentive and efficient!
We wanted to go somewhere special for our Anniversary, on a Monday, and The Cambridge Mill completely fit the bill. They even had a Dinner for Two special that was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the ambience was very charming, and the view of the river was beautiful. The prices were respectable for a fine dining experience, and with the dinner special we enjoyed a large caesar salad for two, a bottle of wine, two steak dinners, and a dessert that was easily shared, for just under a hundred dollars! Also, we had made our reservation on-line, and when asked, had stated it was for an Anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised with two glasses of champagne, which was a lovely gesture. We will be back, and will definitely recommend the Mill for a delightful experience.
My wife and visited the mill for the first time despite living in the region for 35 years. It was a beautiful evening with a view of the river, great service and fine food. We'll be back.
We have visited The Mill on several occasions...for birthday dinners or just to have a nice night out. Pricing is a little on the high end, but worth it as the food is always delicious and hot when it arrives. We have never had a bad meal here! Service is consistent and i always feel looked after and not rushed. We have eaten in the "main" dining room, and also the "rustic" room, and both are lovely. Great views of the river. Would reccommend!
None of the food was actually hot this time around. It was okay. I’d still go back again because our server was so great!
Stunning scenery, very romantic! The food is outstanding. The service, impeccable. It's on the expensive side, but you absolutely get what you pay for.
Had lunch at The Cambridge Mill after visiting the Willibald Farm Distillery in Ayr. The location is lovely and we were seated at a window table overlooking the Grand River. Service was exceptional from beginning to end. We had the pasta, the salmon and shared a Caesar salad...all excellent. Great selection of wines. Will definitely return...perhaps for Sunday brunch.
Was our first time at Cambridge Mill for a birthday get together. Heard lots of good hype about the place. The atmosphere was probably the best thing about the place. Very disappointed in the lack of variety on the menu. What was ordered was good but not outstanding enough to rant and rave about. Cost of the steaks were overly high compared to same quality at other steak houses. All in all I would not recommend to friends nor would we go again. Been there once. At least we tried it. That's all she wrote folks.
Attentive staff and timely service. Generally an all around good restaurant but not overly exceptional.
The most elegant and most lovely place in the region!
Food was fabulous. Service was great. Friendly, timely and felt very comfortable. Prices a little high. But if it's a special occasion, I felt it was worth it.
Service was exemplary. Food is above average. Ambiance is great.
The Monday wine and steak was just ok and the halibut was very salt.
The brunch is the best you’ll ever have. We don’t like to go for dinner anymore because he quality has suffered. But the brunch allowed the Mill to redeem itself. Amazing selection of food, great service, and so so tasty.
Food has some issues - perogies are bizarre deep fried pieces of dough leather, no seasoning on the prime rib - and more importantly there isn’t any booze in the Caesars (and it’s not a Caesar, it’s a ringed glass of Clamato off the gun. Again no seasoning, no woster. I’d rather pay for a real drink instead of this basic juice in a cup. Anyhow the food has dropped in quality but still a great spot visually with great service, 50 bucks for this food though? Meh I’ll find another brunch spot.
Food was great and our waitress was a hoot.
We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary. It was indicated at the time of our reservation and the server also confirmed it. I was disappointed that nothing extra or special was done for us. Would have been nice to have something, whether a special dessert a flower or a champagne flute toast. I felt disappointed With this.. other than that my husband and I were happy with the brunch.
Just “ok” food was just Luke warm
Some items not replenished very fast
No changes to what is offered
A good meal but NOT worth the cost. The ceasars salad was superb the steak was good not great.
There for my daughters birthday. Service was excellent as well as the fish feature and fillet mignon. Cambridge Mill never disappoints. Rolland was our server and always goes above and beyond
Burger was 5 star.
Risotto was a 1 at best.
Very disappointed; was the first time I'd ever brought my mom. Not a good experience for her at all.
Food was excellent - good portion sizes, creative touches that elevated some of the classics and unusual combinations that worked. Price is a bit on the high side but not outrageous for the quality.
It was a bit loud when we went but due to heat and humidity they had closed their terrace room which is not air conditioned so the crowd was condensed. Lovely view and good service.
Great food, service and location. Had to wait 45 minutes despite reservation.
Disappointed that the raw oysters on the half shell were not available on the lunch menu. The stripping steaks that we ordered medium rare were a little on the tough side.other than that the ambiance and service were great.
We usually go to the Cambridge Mill to celebrate our special occasions. It is quiet enough to carry on a conversation, the food is excellent, the wine list adequate, and they usually mark the special event for us. This time, however, there was no mention of my partner's birthday, although I had mentioned it plainly in my Open Table reservation. They stepped up to the plate graciously when I mentioned it at the time, but I wonder where the communication went awry?
Still, we had a lovely meal and a lovely time altogether, watching the water and the herons etc
It was honestly beyond my expectations! The view to the water was sublime and the food was delicious and very well plated!
Excellent as always. Love Sunday brunch
Great experience, food and service was excellent. Only issue was cold air from HVAC system raining down on, mainly affected by our seating close to windows.
Food: Their lunch options were very limited. And they did not have the Salmon from their menu on a Saturday afternoon. Because of our dietary restriction we had to order pizza margherita which was pretty bad for a restaurant (even for a fast food chain for that matter). So bad that we only had on slice from each and left the rest to waste ...
Service: The server did not seem to really care about us beyond quick checks to make sure he has does not fail his minimum job requirement. I did not even notice a single smile or the welcoming gesture from him.
There was another gentleman (perhaps his manager) who at least asked us a few times ho we were doing. I am not sure if this was related to the wedding going on on the other side or not.
Ambient: probably the best view overall you can get in the area.
Bottom line: Bad food and terrible service but good location and view ....
The staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. We liked that they waited til everyone was finished a course before removing plates. They knew we were going to the theatre afterwards so made sure food was served in a timely manner. It was a birthday celebration and the birthday person was treated to a dessert without any request and as a surprise. Very appreciated!
Also the view of the river was enjoyed by all with windows seats and big picture windows to look out from.
The only hesitation about returning would be the price of the meals. It's not a restaurant we would go to often because of the price of the meals. Only for a special occasion.
Service was fantastic! 2 meals were too salty, which is soo disappointing considering the venue and price. A consumer can always add salt to their meal if they prefer.
Menu options are not as good as I hoped and was disappointed that 1. Buck a chuck is no longer served in the dining area - so 3 of our guests were unable to get them, and 2. Rockefeller oysters need to come back
Perched above the Grand River, the Cambridge Mill's floor-to-ceiling windows provide a great view. Restaurant is well laid out, and tables are not crammed together, creating a feeling of openness and spaciousness. Food was high quality and there were also some unique items on the menu (like the delicious pickle soup)
We went for my sons birthday. The waitress had asked the table behind us if it was for a special occasion but didn’t bother to ask us. We planned on ordering dessert but after waiting 20 minutes from the time we received the dessert menu to when the waitress returned to take our order we just wanted to receive our bill.
Love the brunch at the Mill but it will be a while before we go back for dinner
