About Campagnolo - Toronto
It’s a dichotomy.” Chef Craig Harding sums up Campagnolo, the restaurant that he and his fiancée, Alexandra Hutchison, own and operate on Dundas Street in Toronto’s west end. Inspired by traditional homemade Italian food, and charged with a fresh and modern energy, Campagnolo blends new and old to create something that is better than either.

Campagnolo - Toronto Ratings and Reviews
Our server was a gentleman with glasses and he was very knowledgeable and attentive but not overbearing. We never had to ask for anything and his timing was impeccable. Great recommendations on wine and food pairing. We thought the tagliatelle was too watery and simple but everything else was delicious. We had the bone marrow, beef tartare and burrata to start. Then we moved on to tagliatelle and the steak for mains. Cozy and romantic ambience. Would go again and recommend to friends.
Sat at chefs table. Amazing experience. A must try for anyone interested in fantastic Italian.
My cousin and I were visiting Toronto and this wonderful restaurant was recommended to us from another wonderful restaurant (Lena that is appended to the Bay). We arrived a little late for our reservation and we were greeted as if we were on time! Zero attitude and we were not treated with indifference - rather with interest! The atmosphere was lively but the entire space is small so you can still hear one another speak. The service was terrific and the menu options, while initially seemed quite limited in fact provided everything we desired and more! I recommend the fresh buratta salad with seared grapes (but do share it as it is quite a lot), and the trout! I cannot say enough about the trout - from the fjords of Norway. It is slightly smokey grilled flavour and very close to the look and taste of Arctic Char - magnificent! At the end of our meal I asked for a glass of Grand Marnier and they were out but did get one of their waiters to go across the street to a sister restaurant and get me a glass (which turned out to be more than an ounce and a half swirling around in a snifter)! This is a wonderful spot; go. You won't be disappointed!
Made a reservation for my partner’s birthday. We didn’t feel welcomed or special at all. Their service was very poor and the food was just okay (very small portions).
One of the servers put her arms on our chairs, leaned on us and took our orders, which was very rude. The other server poured water aggressively into my glass (almost splashed). When we got our food, there was no explanation of what kind of dishes were.
Overall, It’s very disappointing. I don’t think I will go back there again.
Really enjoyed the squash fondues. The gnocchi with braised rabbit was fantastic and the warm breads was an added bonus.
So delicious and the service was impeccable. Would definitely go again.
My girlfriend and I just started dating and this was the best place for one of our first serious dates
The service was very good; servers were attentive and polite. The cuisine was excellent. If you are looking for the Old Spaghetti Factory, you won't be getting those size of portions at Campagnolo. The appetizers and main courses were delicious and filling without being greasy or heavy. The ambiance was somewhat relaxed. Cocktails were very good and almost made me forget about the $15 cost for just one. I would go back on a special occasion.
i had the pork it was very very good good portion size
The food at Campagnolo was amazing - I want to bring a mason jar back and fill it up with their sauce!
Great atmosphere and attentive service, knowledge and friendly staff.
Seriously can't wait to return.
The food at Campagnolo is very good and the service attentive. The decor blends casual and chic very nicely. Given Campagnolo's price bracket which is on the higher side, the client should not feel short changed. Little extras like bread, small appetizers on the house,... and the portions should be larger (how about two different sizes for pasta dishes?). If Campagnolo wants to remain more affordable, which would make me want to go more, why not have a Table d'hôte with two or three courses ?
Best meal I have had in a LONG time. A friend I was with loved it so much, she proposed to the head chef. Everything was amazing. A great birthday memory!
This meal was so incredible. First time and I've heard so much about it so I was not let down. Get the burata it's insaine
My fourth or fifth time here. Haven't been disappointed. Great Italian comfort food.
Indifferent service (no check-ins at any point during the meal, no attempt to see if the table wanted more wine/drinks). Burrata with roasted grapes is still a knockout; otherwise, the food wasn't exciting, and one of the mains we ordered was underseasoned and dry. We left feeling sad about the choice we'd made to go there, especially since we've enjoyed the experience and the food in the past.
I took my parents to Campagnolo for their 35th wedding anniversary. We all loved it! The ambience was dark and intimate, the dishes were unique and delicious and the service was truly exceptional. We arrived about 20 minutes before the restaurant opens (at 6pm) and we were seated and served right away. The staff was very accommodating and contributed to our exceptional experience!
I attended Campagnolo for my anniversary with my partner. The ambience, decor and service of the restaurant was amazing and very romantic. However, we did not enjoy all of the dishes that were served to us. I found the fish must have been a day old, as it had a particular smell that was not fresh. We should have sent it back, but did not feel like causing a scene. Also, the dishes were not explained to us so we could not tell in one dish if we were eating mashed potatoes, or a different puree of sorts. Our salad was covered in a heavy cream sauce which I did not expect as I was hoping that it would be light an healthy. The price of dishes is reasonable, but would have hoped for better food.
As always! Amazing food and service! Great time had by our 1st guests too!
Steak was slightly overcooked (not medium-rare by any means) but the food at Campagnolo was otherwise wonderful, and it is a firm favourite for special occasions, birthdays and anniversaries.
Had such a lovely meal with my friend. I've been hearing a resounding positive commentary on Campagnolo lately and had to revisit since its opening. Loved it and can't wait to go back again soon.
The food was fantastic as always. We sat at the chefs bar which was a treat to see everything prepared and served up.
Our server wasn’t the greatest, a little pushy but I feel like this was a rare occasion, I’ve always had great service here before
Amazing food! Zucchini fritti were melting in your mouth but yet crispy; fragrant and tasty pasta and a flavourful dessert. Attentive, efficient and friendly service. Loved the dinner!
Food was unreal. Everything we tried was good.
I would have liked the portions to have been bigger other then that great place.
The restaurant forgot to put our order into the computer and, while the manager apologized and graciously agreed to foot the bill for our wine and appetizer, we left the restaurant after a 2 hour dining experience without having eaten the main meal we ordered.
Good food, classic fancy place, for my taste servers are too casual for the atmosphere .
Some tables are too dark.
lovely food as always, and a terrific wine list! Nice to see this restaurant still busy.
Favourite restaurant in the city. Never had a meal I didn't savour in the multiple times I've been there.
The food was very tasty and delicious. Service was excellent. They made their own pasta which is very good. The steak is aged well and tastes a lot better than expected. They made the dessert after we ordered. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back.
Great food, great service. Nothing but good things to say about this place and it's staff.
We found it just ok. Great decor, and staff was friendly enough. We had the porkchop (just fine) and seafood pasta (pretty good, cooked well). Id suggest to order the bread no matter what. Would return and try sharing appetizers with the table instead. Burrata was great, and the marrow looked awesome at other tables. Was one of the few places that I've left without a 'Goodbye' from someone... anyone.
Everything was amazing. It's pricey but totally worth every penny for the fantastic food, excellent service and overall lovely experience.
The food is extremely average yet very small portions. We ordered an appetizer, pasta and two mains and left hungry. The beef tartare also tasted like fish.
Good food. Poor service. We only ordered 4 things and she forgot to bring one of them. Old outdated decor. Probably won't return. It's a shame because the food is decent. 😕
One of my favourite restaurants. Love the food, vibe, service! The chef bar is my favourite spot to sit!
Great experience. Great food and service. Highly recommended!
1 year anniversary
Food was amazing, truly delicious. Server, however was terrible. Brought out drinks late, forgot a dish and left it on the bill, only to bring out dish after it had clearly sat on the pass, while we were trying to settle the bill.
Kitchen always on point with seasonal choices and impeccable execution.
The food was great, tasty and well presented.
