   Food is good but the pricing is so inflated. You’d think for the inflated price and ambience you’d have good service but it was incredibly slow with our entrees taking over an hour to come out. Try it once but there’s much much better restaurants in the city like Quetzal, Guilietta and Alo.

   We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing for a birthday celebration. It was a wonderful experience…food art! The view was spectacular. Even as the restaurant was very busy, there was space between the tables to not feel too close to people…very comfortable. My only criticism was that it was difficult to hear and understand the waiters description of the food which was definitely part of the experience. Otherwise it was great!

   If you want great tasting food that is unique, this is the place. The tastes were amazing, unusual flavours that work together perfect. However, if you are coming to fill up on food, not the place, best you go to a buffet, this is elegant and tasty.

    We visited Canoe for a birthday and it was perfect. We sat at the kitchen bar and had a great view of a well oiled machine. The food was delicious and the wine paired perfectly. Highly recommend.

    Loved the view, service was good but food was a huge, expensive, disappointment. My partner had the scallop dish for an appetizer . One scallop and some beans $32 Our friend and I had the Tuna tartare. Supposedly Blue fish tuna but couldn't tell because it was swamped in a mayo. $29 each My partner and I had the Partridge. When it arrived we thought we got the wrong order. All we could see was the the vegetables. Then the server pointed out two small pieces that looked like half a fingerling potato. When I cut into it with the regular knife they gave us it was dense. AKA tough. Flavor was good but tough and such a small portion. $68 each Won't even comment on desert We have eaten in many restaurants and many have cost more but have walked away satisfied. Not this time. Over $600 and very disappointed. Server also added another bottle of Pellegrino without asking us if we wanted another one. It was off to the side on ice so I didn't notice until the bill came.

    It was a fantastic experience. We got the tasting menu. The presentation and flavour was incredible. The chef needs more love for sure! The fact he uses everything from the source of what you eat and most are probably are not aware is so appreciated. Amazing menu, staff and views! Would definitely return!

    The wine was outstanding and the view was breathtaking for sure. The server was very polite and helpful. I would love to say the prices match the food but unfortunately they did not. Most of the plates were lacking flavor and it was a bit of a let down. I would come back for the experience but definitely not the food.

    Canoe has been a restaurant my wife has wanted to go to for quite sometime. We had opted for the tasting menu. We were seated at a table with an amazing view of the CN Tower. Our server was amazing throughout the night, very prompt service. This is a VERY different kind of menu in terms of flavours and items. Our favourite items were the onion soup, the lobster tail, venison tartare and the atlantic oyster with the cured bison. The Foie parfait was too overbearing for me with the filet item and the game tea that comes with the tartare was a bit out there. In the end, I would return and try their dinner menu due to their exceptional service and ambience. That view is breathtaking while enjoying your meal.

    Great table and lovely dinner. Spoilt at the end as guests sitting next to us rearranged their seating and we’re really close to our table, this made us want to leave rather than stay for coffee / aperitif.

    An incredible view with delicious food to match. Our server, Nick was simply amazing and made our experience even that much better. We had come from Vancouver for a foodie trip and this was the highlight of our week even though 2 nights before we had spent 3 times as much at another restaurant which had turned out to be more hype than anything else. The food was original and beautifully presented. We’ve added Canoe to our next doodie trip to Toronto.

    We did the tasting menu. It was exceptional. I have been to the restaurant before and the most noticeable improvement is in the cocktail menu. Nice to see a place with fantastic food finally having a cocktail program to match.

    We were celebrating a milestone in my daughter's life. Overall the ambiance,was breathtaking with limitless views of the city and the decor and atmosphere was stellar. The foods presentation was exquisite and a delightful gastronomic experience! My daughter ordered surf and turf and I ordered risotto. The table seating was somewhat awkward for me. I was seated at a table with two chairs. One chair was facing the window so the view could be enjoyed and the other was not . It would have been wonderful for both diners to have an equal view which could have been arranged by repositioning the chairs . The one big downside was our waiter. He seemed very robotic,, pushy, lacking charm, class and timing. His suggestions were unusual to me. He did not give us very much time to peruse the menu and kept coming back to see if we had made a decision. When we had close the menus and we're waiting for him to come to take our order he did not. We had to beckon him to the table to order although he was very close to our table. When I ordered an appetizer because I still needed more time to think about my main course he asked me to decide there and then about my main course. To me that was very offsetting. When the bill was presented, I paid with cash and instead of having my change returned to me my waiter strong suggested that I should make up my mind about his tip there and then which made me feel uncomfortable and also intruded our conversation and repore. I suggested to him to return my change and then I would figure out his tip.

    The server was nice. Interior was nice. Not a loud place, which is good. View is nice. However, I asked for a table near the window, but we were seated in the middle. The food was TERRIBLE! tasteless dishes for a high price. Cocktails were bad as well, 70% of it was ice. Would not go there again.

    A nice place to celebrate an important occasion We were celebrating a birthday, and did not go for tasting menu. Even though the dress code was suppose to be a business casual they were more people in rather casual than business. The food was mostly good, some of the sauces were interesting but not for everyone. We did not luck out on the weather so could not see much from the window and enjoy much of the view. However, the evening got an interesting turn when we left the building. Both of us felt a sudden pain in the epigastrium and within 30-45 mins after the visit only one of us was able to hold the food. We are not sure what specifically triggered the reaction but the impression of the high end restaurant definitely got spoiled.

    The food was reasonably good, but not that great. Having tried 3/4 desserts, they were all not that great, and some were not very good at all or exceptionally small. Service was reasonably good, but far from exceptional. The place and views are gorgeous and convenient of course. Overall, an enjoyable evening, but fairly poor value.

    We went to Canoe twice, really loved it the first time and decided to go back again. First time we loved the seafood platter, I had a risotto and tarte au sucre was amazing. So we went back a year later for our anniversary and were really disappointed. We ordered four starters, and they were truly meh. Nothing you’d describe as delicious and no savoring every bite this time. Main courses were basic too, I had partridge which was simply not tasty, too many strange bitter flavours in one plate. I’m not hard to please, but the taste of the food was just not good. The only meal I truly enjoyed was the same tarte au sucre that I had a year ago - their dessert menu hasn’t changed at all in one year. The service was very basic, the waiter wasn’t friendly. We looked forward to this experience but won’t be back again.
