Absolute best restaurant in Toronto. Thank you to the entire team for making our celebration so special.
Our server was very experienced and professional - wonderful food - great location - Oliver and Bonacini Restaurants are always great I have found ! Thanks to Canoe for our great evening out. Cheers Paul
Would recommend the tasting menu if you are open to experience new & different interpretations of cuisine, both visual & gastronomically
Tried the 9 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Each course was fully explained and how the ingredients were sourced and Canoe featured some great Canadian wines from Nova Scotia, BC and Ontario along with others from France and Italy.
It was truly a Michellin experience!
Had the tasting menu great service and wine pair, some dishes where over cooked or cold.
Outstanding restaurant, outstanding service & outstanding view!!
How can you go wrong going to the Canoe restaurant.
Fantastic!!!!! The food is amasing!!! Magnific view and rhe service is perfect!!
The service and food were excellent as always
We did the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing. The offerings were sublime, the pairings perfect.
The service was excellent, attentive and engaging without being obtrusive.
The atmosphere was comfortable, casual, but maybe a bit loud for my taste.
Overall a fantastic experience.
We both ordered the chicken for $46, and only got a quarter of a chicken breast, we felt like we got ripped off. I have always enjoyed my meals there, but that was a joke.
Main course was served while still eating appetizers.
Halibut but dry snd lacked flavour.
Even French fries were dry and over cooked.
We used to love Canoe- not sure what happened.
One of the best restaurants we've done in TO/MTL/Van, definitely top 3, maybe top 2. The different dishes we tried were well balanced and succulent, and the local ingredients used were there because they were great, not because they were local. The service was excellent.
Tasty menu was not tasty. The majority of dish were just salary. Not easy to be digested. They should taste each food before serving.
Our waiter at Canoe (who had lived in NYC for some time) - took the time to write down tips for us when we visit our son there. Also moved us to the window when the table was free which made for an amazing 70th for my mother-in-law.
Amazing guy - deserves accolades & hopefully is compensated duly!
Great seafood platter. Jeff as usual was outstanding.
Exceptional view, fabulous food, bit pricey but well worth it for a special occasion!!!
Beautiful evening view of the sunset,
Food and ambiance was very nice!
The waiter was giving us more attitude towards the night, as it may be busy. At least keep a good composure for a high end restaurant
Outstanding service and food! I recommend anyone dine here for a fantastic experience
We had the 9 course tasting menu 6 courses came with wine. $155 plus $100 extra for the wine pairings. I cant help but compare tasing menus to Peller Estates in Niagara on the Lake where i have been at least 7 times. 10 courses. 7 with wine. And 3 additional courses for $140 including wine pairings - so after tax and tip only 1/2 the cost. Unfortunately this food/wine experience didnt compare - the presentation was on point but for the most part food was disappointing although the ice cream sandwich made with mushrooms was excellent and the pumpkin veloute was quite nice. Our main server kevin was great. They made us feel very welcome and offered helpful recommendations on how best to enjoy the courses. There were at least 3/4 other people who brought various courses/wine. As we were celebrating we were given champagne upon arrival which was a nice / thoughtful touch. Fresh bread/butter was served to start. The view from canoe is amazing but you have to be seating at a window seat to enjoy it which we were not. Unfortunately the lighting/glare from the refection in the window / glass did not provide us with a view at all. We did have a view of the open kitchen. I felt like Canoe was a must do while in Toronto but unlikely we will return.
Server Godwin is good and friendly. The tasting menu is quite good with good view and environment
Menu tasting was not as great as expected.
Too heavy sauce not enough delicate
It was disappointing
I have been to Canoe a number of times and was very excited to bring my mom there for her birthday so I made a reservation well in advance so we could get in and have a good seat. After we showed up for our reservation we were told they had no room in the dining room by the window … and the wait for a table anywhere else in the dining room would be well over an hour even though we had a reservation. Instead we were offered bar seating. There was tables empty and when asked we were told they are for a party of 3 we were there from 7:30-11:30 and no one showed up and that table and more tables became available and we were never offered to get moved to a better seating.
On the day the restaurant never called to confirm so I called them myself and reminded them it’s my mom’s birthday please if possible please give us a good seat in the dining room they never mentioned the bar seat had I known earlier I would’ve canceled as I wanted my mom to be comfortable while celebrating her 60th.
For the price I was expecting better service and better communication and follow ups.
I think the redesign of the restaurant is very cold and dark. Food and service continues to be good and imaginative.
Never been disappointed with a meal at Canoe! I love that they care about sourcing local ingredients and the chefs there are so creative with their dishes. The service is also impeccable and have one of the best views of Toronto! This is hands down our favourite restaurant!
My expectations were very high before dining at Canoe and still I was blown away at the friendly/quick service, outstanding food quality, breathtaking view, and value! I highly recommend Canoe for any occasion; mine was for a special occasion but I would definitely go there for a random night out, lunch with friends, or entertaining clients.
Food was a little bit too rich and lots of butter and fats.
Great diner at Canoe. We had a beautiful view on the city of Toronto. The only pity was that service never asked if we wanted any desert or coffee. We felt a little forgotten at the end.
Delicious food, delightful service, and a stunning view. We went for our wedding anniversary, and we definitely plan to come back.
Very good food and very good view on the sunny day that it was. Filling in covid forms seemed a bit of overkill.
Reception person was warm and welcoming. A table was reserved for a birthday celebration with a wee birthday card. Thank you. Stephen was our waiter. He was a peach - attentive and professional. Lamb was great and the halibut a wee bit dry. Maybe some sauce around the fish could add moisture? All in all a fine first experience at Canoe.
We tried the tasting menu and it was amazing.
We loved it! Duck was wonderful and tomatoes sublime
We had a great time. The service was attentive and informative and the food was spectacular. We had the tasting menu and it had the best duck we’ve had and a fabulous lobster dish. We would return anytime
There is nothing not to love at Canoe. You start with a wonderful greeting, move to a spacious table with perfect service. Every thought is taken into consideration. The view is mind boggling. Drinks and wines lovely and the food under Chef Ron MacInlay was exceptional.
Thanks Joanna Sable
First time at Canoe. It was amazing. Food was exquisite and very unique. Definitely go back
I booked a week in advance for my wife's birthday and requested a window table. We did not get a window seat. Not the first time this has happened to us at Canoe.
It lived up to the hype as one of the best restaurants in Toronto. Their tasting menu is a must try, and overall the experience was exceptional.
