    We were disappointed with our evening at Canoe. It was very noisy at the restaurant on top of that music was playing. The Food was average, my aged ribye steak was tough. The oyster tasteless. The rest was imaginative but did not exceptional taste. The description of the dishes was done very quickly and was almost incomprehensible. We found it was not worth the price charged.

    This was our first dining experience @ Canoe— we were very impressed. Godwin was our server— he was outstanding— he made some food suggestions and we were extremely pleased with everything. Next time we’re in Toronto we will return.

    Celebrated 25th Anniversary on the 25th of Canoe's Anniversary. Never been to eat at Canoe but heard for years, it a must experience, we got the chefs course. The vegetarian courses were all mind blowing, service wonderful, met and went beyond expectations.

    This restaurant came highly recommended. It appeared, if you did not order the tasting menus they appeared disinterested. My Halibut was served on a mound a white mashed potatoes. The fish was over cooked. Very little vegetable of color on the plate. The salmon was just average. All in all a high expectation experience that did not deliver

    This is third time of visiting wonderful Canoe. Past has been their signature tasting menu at dinner and this was first time visiting on lunch time. I was mostly surprised that food quality and presentation were so far from what I have experienced before to the level I doubt if it is indeed same Restaurant. Service of the staff was also dry and rushed. Even if they still have a great view and lunch could be an option for a quick business meal, I would not come again for lunch at least.

    Food - we had the tomato appetizer, for mains we had the striploin, Cornish hen and halibut, and had the sugar pie for dessert to share. Tomato appetizer was great! The striploin was cooked perfectly. Cornish hen was probably the best dish. The halibut was ok. The sugar pie was really rich, almost too rich but it’s probably supposed to be that way? Overall everything is cooked the way it’s supposed to be from an execution point of view.

    Of course Canoe was a great experience! Famous, trendy, big Toronto caché, great view. All of those. Terrific service. Haute cuisine of course. I had the crab porridge for an appetizer, which was a unique food experience, with crunchy grains on the bottom, foie gras froth on top, and delicious crab/chicken in the middle. Just what you expect. But....the fact is, that there are comparable outstanding dining experiences at restaurants from Quebec City to Vancouver, where you are paying 50-75% of the bill at Canoe! Our bill (with a total of three glasses of wine) came to $130 per person (group of 3) before taxes and tip. Really? So that is why it gets a 4 and not a 5 in my book.

    The tasting menu is always great. I wouldn't come here to order off the menu unless it was for a business meal. I would say come here to enjoy the chef's talents and the view of the lake. The noise is okay. I prefer it to be slightly quieter but that's impossible with so much glass.

    Menu was pricey but I expected that, given the location. I ordered the halibut and it was way overcooked, dry and chewy. I didn’t send it back because it was a business lunch. Waiter did not check back to see that the food was OK.

    My friends and I had an amazing time at Canoe restaurant. Easy to find and has parking, altho the parking is quite confusing, but its good considering how hard it is to find parking in Toronto. Food was great! Small portions of starters but still shareable and taste really good! We ordered that steak and it was so delicious, cooked according to our liking! Food was pricey but worth it. The view was very nice, we went for dinner, we are planning to come back again! Staff were friendly and Fred"s service was awesome and welcoming! Definitely recommend this place!

    The food was great except the main court, the surf and turf just ok, nothing special. And the steak from tournedo rossini was great, but the mushrooms and the potatoes was extremely salty.

    Went for an Anniversary dinner with my partner. Requested for halal options but there were not any. Menu was super small with just okay dishes. Requested for a nice table with a view and they didn’t even give that since that is only for VIP’s l. Server was very not pleasant at all and looked like he wasn’t happy to be there. I don’t think I will go again

    Been many times. Onion rings felt extra greasy. Normally love the steak frites, sadly not this time.
