The service was amazing as usual. We've been celebrating our anniversary here almost every year for 10 yrs and the food isn't what it used to be.
Stopped for a burger before Blue Jay game excellent service, and good food
Food service was slow and the meals arrived at the table cold!
Outback Steakhouse would be considered fine dining when put in comparison to this place.
Great food and service. Convenient location. Easy walking distance to Roger's Centre.
I am from out of town and the reviews of this restaurant seemed to be pretty good. My husband is pretty easy all he wanted was a chicken caesar salad. What he got was a bunch of brown lettuce which he just picked out. I was craving a good juicy steak. What I received was a cold dinner. Both may take and loaded mash was cold, not warm cold! Our waitress was nice and said she would have the kitchen make another one. I was so disappointed that I declined her offer. The manager then comes over and apologizes which ai really do appreciate. He covered my appetizer. I would say this could be a great restaurant if food matched the price we are paying.
Friendly staff. The prime rib is a must try. We had it medium rare.
Service was great.
Excellent, first time being there and was very satisfied. Great food, loved the bread and honey butter, so great! Our server was so sweet and helpful. Will be going back.
Excellent service, great food, Prix Fix menu was a really good deal!
Excellent meal, great service, nice atmosphere. Overall experience was very good!
I don’t usually leave comments here but I have to. The server (I don’t remember his name, unfortunately) was awesome! He provided honest recommendations, was pleasantly humourous, and made for an excellent dining experience.
Our server was very attentive and friendly
The food was very good and everyone enjoyed their meals
Great food and drinks. Highly recommend the Mushroom New York Steak.
Restaurant is "underground" so very dark and may not be the optimal atmosphere for the dining experience you are trying to have i.e. feels like a low key steak house which is fine for business meals and/or quiet conversation but perhaps not optimal for birthday celebrations etc..
Location is good/convenient for many downtown activities (theatre, Blue Jays, ACC) but food can be hit or miss as I feel the chain struggles with a single identity i.e. is it part of a mid range steakhouse chain like the Keg or a more diversified dining experience with pasta and seafood also specialties.
As a party of three we had steak soup as an appetizer (good), veggie burger (not good), ravioli with shrimp (looked pretty but did not taste as good as it looked) and sirloin (good). Pecan pie for dessert was a good enough size to share.
First time in about 7 years .since I was at this restaurant. Great menu great service. Will be going back again soon.
Our waiter was absolutely amazing!!!
We were extremely disappointed that the banana pudding dessert is no longer available. That was our main reason for going to Canyon Creek! It was shown on the menu on the website. We probably won’t be back unless the dessert is brought back, since the prices overall have increased dramatically.
Nice restaurant - nothing fancy (decor a bit dark and dated for my preference) but the meal was solid. Did the summerlicious and I thought it was good value for the money. Server knew we needed to get to a show and encouraged us to order fast, which was very helpful. Accommodated meal alterations with no problem!
This was the second time my brother and I came to this location and once again it was a great experience. We owe it to our server, Jonathan who we also had the previous time. Professional, warm, reliable and great service! He is the reason we would keep going back- Many thanks go to him!
The food was very bland and was not very appetizing. Service was great though.
Went here for my boyfriends birthday before the Jays game and the overall experience was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, the food was very tasty but a bit pricy and the service was quick. At the end of our meal the waitress gave us free glasses of champagne! It was a great dinner and I would defiantly go back!
Went dor wife's 40th Birthday. Food was good and Isac did a great job serving us.
Always great food well prepared and outstanding service!
Great place, fantastic food and brilliant service.
Would recommend !
Dined at Front street location before a show at The Royal Alex. Service was prompt, and food and drinks were awesome. Price was reasonable considering downtown location. Will definitely be back!
Always a great dinner at Canyon Creek! Service was fast and friendly.
Loved the Summerlicious options on the menu. Atmosphere & Service was good.
My friend and I typically get together twice a year for summerlicious and winterlicious and we choose Canyon Creek - chipotle sirloin do I need to say more!!! I just wanted to say Mark is amazing and has made each time at Canyon Creek a memorable. Thanks the food service and company was great!!!
It wasn't my first time there. It was very disappointing. We had the summerlicious menu. I had the avocado and shrimp bruschetta - they avocado was missing and the bread was stale. My roast beef sandwich was cold. My friend ordered the pasta with shrimp and mussels. The pasta was tasteless, she continuously was adding pepper and salt to give it flavor.
We felt rushed. Salad arrived right after drinks. Entree come before we finished the salad.
Great restaurant for business lunch, booth and table layout allow private business conversations. Yet moderate level of noise makes you feel safe to chat, great to be not so quiet. Good quality and great value, taste great. Ordered $40 set lunch. The 12 oz prime rib was awesome !! Such huge portion, could not finish...
Enjoyed our experience. Food was very good--ribs. My wife had filet mignon. Waiter was very attentive and professional. Price was good. This was the twentieth visit--once each year when we stayed at the Royal York for an annual convention..God willing we will do it again next year.
A great place right on Front St. An easy walk to the Hotel.
We booked this restaurant as they were offering a great Summerlicious menu and they had a time available for us to enjoy dinner before seeing a concert later that evening. Our meal was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely return to this location!
The service was great, and the food was good. The value of Summerlicious menu was very good.
Loved it ... the waiter was exceptional
Delivious food, and very professional service! We ordered from the Summerlicious menu, which was a great value!
Our Server Jonathan was very efficient, pleasant and attentive.
My wife and I went out to CC for dinner on Sunday night as we have been to CC at other locations a few times with great results. This time we had pretty poor service. Once seated we waited about 5 minutes before our waiter came over. He took our drink order and then we didn't see him again for over 10 minutes with our drinks and to take our order. Once the order was placed, our food arrived in a reasonable time but was brought over by kitchen staff. We didn't receive any of the delicious bread and honey butter (which kind of pointed us to CC in the first place...)We had wanted to order a bottle of wine with dinner but our waiter didn't come by again until we had finished our meals. Too late for the wine...
The Eagles concert was on that night and our waiter had a lot of time to chat about the pending concert with tables all around us but we got the cold shoulder. Following dinner we ended up going out to another place for a couple drinks as we were't keen to waste anymore time at CC.
To be clear, the food was great. The service blew it for us. We'll dine somewhere else in the future. It might be a different story if there isn't a major event that night, although I would wonder how they handle a regular dinner rush...
Service was prompt and friendly and food was very good.
It was very nice. A little dark and it got a little too noisy. I was disappointed in my creme brule dessert. It didn't say that it was chocolate and I am allergic to chocolate. I took a bite and luckily I was ok. I think that perhaps I should have been offered a new dessert but I didn't even get an apology. The rest of the meal was good. My husband had prime rib & a potato and I had the salmon. It wasn't the best that we have had but it was good. The service was quick and polite.
