Booking through open table was a bust! Canyon creek did not have our reservation. Luckily it was only a Wednesday and there was plenty of space for our time.
Service is definitely a 5 star. Food is delish. We love the calamari, the King burger is awesome with the rosemary chips on the side, and love the steak with goat cheese. We also like the unlimited multigrain bread, which all restaurants should at least offer to their clients.
We visited Canyon Creek Square One on Saturday September 8 @5:30pm and had a reservation for 6 people.
Our server Carolina was fantastic - one of the best we have had at any restaurant in recent memory.
We finished our meals at 7pm, paid the bill and before we had a chance to vacate the table we were swarmed by 2-3 people aggressively cleaning it as we were still there. Unfortunately THAT left us feeling uncomfortable.
We were a somewhat larger group celebrating a birthday at prime dining time, we felt very rushed to leave. Perhaps management should adjust allowable dining times so that customers should not be made to feel this way.
Booked on open table
And mentioned it was my anniversary ans there was no acknowledgement.
We were there for a family birthday.
We found the food was very expensive for what we paid and it was just okay
On the whole, the evening was good. There was a huge group behind us that raised the noise level and used our waitress more.
My husband's prime rib was cold so he sent it back. She did bring him another hot meal.
There were tables not cleared off after people left.
We did have a good time though.
We have been here many times and I have to say tonight was a disappointment. Our server was practically non existent food not as good as it usually is and I felt like the quality in service and food were not up to their usual standards. Very disappointed
Both my sister and I had the price fix menu and enjoyed each course. Our server was very good and so nice.
Just two very minor complaints:
- the A/C was a bit much. We both brought cardigans so we were relatively comfortable but we did notice other diners who were visibly cold. And as a result we felt like we had to hurry our meal to maintain the warmth of the food.
- our main course was served too quickly. We didn't have time to finish our salads, let alone relax a bit in between. After the meal we asked our server to give us some time before dessert. She was very accommodating.
A huge fan of this Canyon Creek location; however, was disappointed in the lunch offerings. A large part of my dining out is lunches. Either for business or just socializing. As such, I look for good food, economy, and a good conversational environment.
Canyon Creek provided great food and excellent service; however, I was floored by the lunch fare prices. I can only assume that the portions are huge because the prices were closer to high end, dinner fare. Prohibitively so. I felt I was challenged to find a "lunch sized" meal that was priced accordingly.
And, the restaurant was very noisy. I'm not sure what can be done about that; however, it made "conversation" difficult.
No longer a lunch meeting location choice for me.
But, I repeat, food was great and service was excellent.
I've been to Canyon Creek at different locations. It's always good. This dinner was just as good as always.
One person ordered prime rib, and it took almost 45 mins for them to tell us there was no prime rib available. Same person ordered steak and it was over cooked and tough so he had to wait even longer to eat.
When I booked under reason for dining I stated 61st wedding anniversary but at no time did any of the staff mention or say happy anniversary.
Unlikely I will return to this restaurant
Don't waste your time or money here. Initial drink order was taken in 5 minutes. Salads came 15 minutes later. The main came an hour after that. Our server was apologizing so much I thought that her name was Sorry... The Caesar salad was bland. The Prime Rib a long ways from prime. Tasteless and full of grizzle and sinew. The brownie was more like a chocolate cake. Ice cream was good and so was the baked potato. My wife's Salmon was just ok. Cheesecake was good. Wine was excellent. Our first and last time at this place.
Great steaks served with great side dishes and appetizers. The servers were attentive and efficient.
Carolina was a gem of a server and always makes my visit smooth and worthwhile
Always been a local favorite. Quality food is consistent.
Appetizers came out quick, were hot and tasted great.
However, mains took a long time, were brought out by multiple people and were borderline cold. It is worth mentioning that the restaurant was not busy, there were many empty tables. One meal was incomplete and had to be sent back. Two out of the four steaks ordered at our table were fairly thin and tough, which is not acceptable since the meals were quite expensive. Both of the prime rib cuts had some tough sections too, not exactly what we were expecting.
Our server was not around very often, we had to ask other servers multiple times for condiments, drinks, etc.
We have been to other Canyon Creeks and had excellent food, hence why we chose this restaurant. Our friends left disappointed in both the service and the food at this location.
One of the reasons that my friends and I decided to go to Canyon Creek was because I had received coupons in the mail. I specifically asked our waitress before we ordered, if the 25% off coupon applied to all of our food order. She said that it did. When we got our bill, it turned out that because some of us had ordered the Prix fixe dinner, the coupon did not apply to 3 of the 4 of us. Had we known this we wouldn't have used the coupon that day. I spoke to the manager but he was not particularly helpful and just reiterated that it didn't apply because that part of the menu was already discounted. My point was that the staff should be aware of the limitations of the coupon and ensure, for good customer relations, that the customers are made aware of such limitations, especially when asked specifically about the coupon.
We have been coming here every year for the past 15 years for our anniversary. Food is great.
Although I mentioned it was my wife's birthday, there was no special treatment. The Caesar salad dressing was tasty, but the lettuce was brown and wilted and we should have sent it back. Instead we picked through it.
Our server was very pleasant and efficient.
The music was far too loud and we asked that it be turned down.
We will probably be back and hope for a better experience.
We ordered our steaks medium , my husbands came fine but mine was well done. By the time they fixed it and cooked a new one my husband was finished eating. It was our anniversary and really put a damper on our meal. Nothing was said or done
Richard who served us at lunch was awesome! Made it extra special. Food is great as always.
Food was good
Excellent experience and food. Only negative was that I specified the occasion when making the reservation, but nothing was done to celebrate it.
Canyon Creek is not new to us. Rib Fest was on so the place was almost empty - we like a quiet place so that was a plus.
The prime rib was very tough, the favor was good but very difficult to chew
Was recommended here and would definitely recommend others to come here as well. A new favourite spot for ribs.
We were enjoying a quiet dinner on our sixtieth wedding anniversary. We had a great dinner, reasonably priced and well done. Good, friendly service as well.
Being presented with champagne was a special treat. Thank you for that!
The music type was much better than most restaurants, a good combo for different ages. However, having said that, I have a general complaint about that throughout the industry. When we go out to eat, alone or with friends, we go to enjoy food and most often conversation. Too often music becomes dominant through its loudness. Music during conversation should be background. If my sixtieth anniversary did not show my age, this comment did. The loudness of your music did make it a bit difficult to talk across the table in normal talking manner, but better than many restaurants.
Waiter was nice. Forgot our appetizer but apologized for it. Dessert (cheesecake) was salty. Waiter said this has happen before. Manager or someone should be more careful with the taste of food leaving the kitchen.
make reservations for two, was seated at those horrible tables along the wall going into the kitchen, my view was the dishwasher area, not very nice. my food was good (Ravioli} my friend had curry chicken, did not like it at all, dry and no taste. service was slow but friendly.
Excellent food and service. Very loud atmosphere, difficult to hear people at your table
Great food and great service. No disappointment. Had the waiter recommend our food and he was spot on. Compliments to the chef for making a flgreat meal.
I enjoy the fact that Canyon Creek always switches up the food items that are offered in their menus. It's never boring, there's always something new to try and the standards remain standards in case you want something that you've had before, like steak or surf and turf.
The bread they offer with the honey butter is delicious. It's hard to stop at just one piece.
The server was friendly, helpful and professional.
Our Server took too long to greet us. Approximately 10 minutes and we were with a child.
It was a great place to meet up for Father's Day. The service was great and accommodated our food allergies and sensitivities easily. Part of our party was late and we ordered at different times. Our server was fabulous when dealing with our chaos!
Went for my wedding anniversary and because we were celebrating we were given 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate. Quick service and amazing food. Loved it. Thanks Canyon Creek!
Our server was fantastic. She even remembered us from two earlier visit in late December & early January. The food is always excellent.
PPrices seem a little high
First time at Canyon Creek. The people were very friendly. The apps were great. Main course was ok. The Desert was great. A little on the expensive side but we had a good time. They said that they were slow so that might be why the service was great but it seemed like the really enjoyed serving their customers so I think the service would be the same if they were busy.
Our Server - Kirsten was absolutely great! Friendly, patient and was great at recommending some food & wine pairings. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and overall, Canyon Creek Mississauga is THEE best place to eat in Mississauga.
