I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, and they did not disappoint. The staff was professional and personable. They balanced being attentive with letting us have our space. The food was incredible. We strongly recommend the Sea Scallop Tartar and the Charcuterie Board for appetizers. My girlfriend got the Filet and I got the Strip Special. Both were cooked to perfection and appropriately seasoned. We will definitely come back.
This was our first time at Cape Dutch. Cute little place in an interesting part of town. Beautiful interior. Food had its highs. I thought the cocktails and the salads were the best part. Steaks were okay. I had the strip and my wife had the filet. She seemed to enjoy hers more than I did mine, but I am probably more picky. Ordered the chocolate cake for desert, which was good. Espresso machine was broken. Service was fine. Not over the top, but not bad either. I am glad we went, but not planning to go back next week.
Amazing evening. Highly recommend! Food, service, knowledge and helpfulness of those working were top notch. Lovely atmosphere.
Hands down and amazing dining experience, food service everything was A+
We celebrated our Anniversary at Cape Dutch this year and it was a wonderful evening. The food was outstanding, our server was fast and very knowledgeable but never hovering and intruding. It was busy and therefore a bit loud but the ambience is wonderful. We will definitely return.
Second visit to this restaurant, as the first was so lovely! Many great dining choices in Atlanta, but Cape Dutch is one of my new favorites! Chef Philippe is not only a phenomenal chef, but a fantastic host as well! Great bar as well! Highly recommend!!!
Excellent food and wine and a fantastic atmosphere. Love the inspired menu.
innovative dishes, perfectly cooked, attentive and friendly service, attractive and spacious dining room.
My wife and I had a great experience. Our sever was attentive with our dining experience.
My wife and I both had steaks, and they were tasty and prepared to our liking.
For starters, we had the fried lobster tails, and I recommend it.
Love the feel of this place and the latest menu is excellent once again. Always enjoyable and delicious.
First timers. Came to celebrate wife’s birthday. Had a wonderful
Experience & great meal. Service was impeccable.
Thank you for making my birthday special. We’ll be back soon.
Great service and delicious food!
Lovely venue. Atmosphere was superb. Food and service were excellent. Wait staff was very attentive and responsive. This has to be one of the top restaurants in Atlanta.
Watermelon carpaccio and heirloom tomato salad app was excellent, but that was the high point of the meal. The ribeye was ok, but not exceptional for the price. The brussel sprouts were a soggy mess, not caramelized as described. The chocolate cake was dry and oddly paired with apples. They had none of their advertised coravin specialty wines. The service was robotic and impersonal. And with every dish, I had to remind the waiter that I had not received the glass of wine I’d ordered to pair with it, so each dish sat on the table waiting and getting cold. Overall, and underwhelming experience for a tab of $250 for two.
The food and service was great. The restaurant is very stylish. There was an interesting and unusual, but subtle use of herbs and spices. I was very impressed and I am difficult to impress.
Because of a business meeting in the area we dined much earlier than we normally would have so the restaurant was very quiet and early evening sun very bright. Our server was terrific and his suggestions were excellent! Would come back to Cape Dutch.
I was so impressed. It was the best fish dish I ever had (Sea Bass) and the most delicious asparagus from Burgundy. The Chef, Philippe, came out to speak to us, and gave us wonderful recommendations for the new menu. Amazing experience.
Excellent ambiance. Our server was very attentive and overall we will be back
Sat at the bar and had a great meal and fantastic service from Bonnie and Mitch was a please to talk with on Thursday evening.
Date night with my wife. Always great food and attentive service at Cape Dutch. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere fantastic. Cape Dutch is one of the top choices for our rotational adult only night out meals.
Loved it! Had a great and knowledgeable server, they held our table and let us sit at the bar for a drink even after our reservation time past, and we had a great time!
We love Cape Dutch. The food is delicious. The servers are always nice and know their trade. The atmosphere is lovely. It is always an enjoyable evening and everything is always wonderful!
Whenever I come into Atlanta, Cape Dutch is on my list of restaurants to visit. My husband always has the mussels and I like the varied seasonal items that Chef Phillippe adds to the menu. Wednesday night was the first night of their new seasonal menu and it did not disappoint! Always a wonderful evening!
Cape Dutch is a quaint place and would be good for a date or an outing with friends. Although I did not take my children, I get the impression that it is likely not the most kid-friendly place. The food was good with very unique entrée and ingredient choices. We tried many and varying menu options and enjoyed everything we tried. If I have any negative complaints it would be with the level of service. Perhaps it was our server, or perhaps just a bad night for our server, but we found the communication and general short term Interaction to be awkward and somewhat uninviting. Although I would go back for the food, the service leaves something to be desired. And with the myriad restaurant choices in the metro Atlanta area, I Believe this restaurant is worth a try but likely not a second visit.
I love the food of course but the vibe is equally important for a restaurant. We came here for a family member's birthday. They really took care of us throughout the night from drink recommendations (definitely try their aviation, even if you're not a gin fan) to dinner menu suggestions. I had the braised beef short rib and it was so tender! They were thoughtful to send a complimentary dessert - one of the best bread puddings I've ever tasted. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience!
one of my go too restaurants. always excellent food and service. semiprivate dining experiences available for larger groups such as ours was.
Great food and atmosphere. Got the fried lobster tail and mussels for appetisers. Amazing! Short ribs and steak and frittes for mains. Will definitely go again!!
The food was gorgeous, the service was incredibly attentive, and overall just a wonderful evening.
The buzz, aroma's upon entering, and the exquisite treatment once we were seated were among the best I have experiences. My date and I were quite happy with the whole experience. Will be coming back soon.
Our server, Reggie, was AMAZING, as well as our entire evening!! I highly recommend Cape Dutch!! We also got the opportunity to meet owners, Justin and Kelly!! They were an absolute delight!!
Honestly, this was the best lobster I’ve ever had, and the fried lobster tails were a great starter. I can’t wait to go back and visit the bar!
Cape Dutch is one of our favorite places to go. You wouldn't think to order a burger there but we were told how amazing they are and now we always order at least one for the table to split. It is one of our fav places for special occasions and to take guests. Food is all outstanding. LOVE LOVE LOVE the mussels! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is this time we had a server with no personality and he was not very attentive. He did pick up that were celebrating a birthday and at the end of the meal he brought a dessert with a candle in it. We thought that was a nice gesture but then HE PUT IT ON OUR CHECK!!! We will definitely continue to go to Cape Dutch but would not want him as a server. We have had Anthony in the past and he is awesome!!
While most restaurants are too noisy to allow pleasant conversation, Cape Dutch has enough energy to prevent hearing other tables while enabling conversation among your party. They add excellent service, interesting and beautifully presented cuisine and an attractive space. Our group was well satisfied with every aspect of the evening
What a great experience we all had at dinner. The service was excellent and very attentive. The food was awesome. We tried a few apps first and then moved on the the main courses. I had the porcini ravioli and it was extremely tasty. The server recommended a Pinotage wine that totally lived up to his expectations. Well done all around!!
Always excellent, sea bass was delicious, broccolini fresh, fried mini lobster tails cannot get enough. This place is on regular rotation.
Business meal. Food was excellent and good ambiance for it. Probably too pricey to dine there on my own.
fantastic service with excellent food. overall a wonderful dining experience
We enjoyed our night here but it wasn’t remarkable. The food was fine the waiter was fine.....well, it was just fine. Because all of the restaurants want clean lines and an open concept, it is a typical modern venue that when it’s full it’s too loud. (I think it is very nicely decorated and beautiful farmhouse modern by the way) We were seated in the back and they have tables with bench seating paired with a chair. The bench is too high for the table and it’s a bit uncomfortable and I’m not tall. I would suggest to ask for alternative seating if they place you there.
We love Cape Dutch. We try to get there when we are in town. Chef Philipp Haddad is amazing and creative. Everything is always delicious. His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We love the atmosphere. It is a great restaurant. We look forward to our next visit!!
Still so good! Hadn't been to Cape Dutch in a while, and was trying to find an unusual cuisine. Hit the spot. Great grilled branzino and steaks. Other dishes delicious too. Will be back!
