This casual, upscale restaurant offers innovative American cuisine including the freshest seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic and Pacific, great steaks from Allen Brothers in Chicago, and regional and seasonal specialties. Daily lunch and dinner specials feature local ingredients whenever possible. The Heights burger can be paired with hand cut French fries, crispy thin onion rings, homemade lemon-pepper potato chips or German potato salad. There is an outdoor patio under a canopy of oak trees that's shady and extremely popular with locals and visitors to San Antonio. The brunch offered on Saturdays and Sundays features a menu of classic egg dishes, Texas pot roast, jumbo lump crab cake, seasonal "out of the blue" seafood entrees, entree salads, and Mustang chicken. Cappy's has an ever-changing, dynamic and well-priced wine list, with great choices by the glass or bottle. Full bar.

    Crowd was energetic making conversation a bit difficult. Service was good. Had reservation and think being seated on the lower level would have been more appropriate because of energetic patrons on bar level. Food was excellent. Only food complaint was top of carb cake appetizer very hard.

    We enjoyed a girl’s lunch date to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I appreciate Cappy’s extra efforts to make celebratory meals special (a handwritten card at the reserved table upon arrival & a dessert with a candle). My friend loved her mussels, Brussels sprouts & her favorite dessert of Cappy’s coconut cream pie. I had the Faroe Island salmon which was cooked medium rare as requested but I felt the portion size (& small tail end cut) was not commensurate with the price. Overall, a good visit (but I’ll opt for those delicious mussels for lunch next time!)

    Wedge salad and great burgers with a hearty bottle of red wine served by an attentive server. What's not to like??!

    Cappy's is a lovely neighborhood spot for date night. You can tell that many of the customers are regulars. The menu was a nice mix of classics and some more interesting choices. Cocktails and food were delicious. We will definitely be back.

    The food here is always consistently good. Very fresh, presented well and tasty! Love the variety on the menu! Abel is an outstanding server. Very personable, friendly and professional!

    Cappy's is a favorite on our Sunday brunch options. The menu has distinctly different options to satisfy everyone, the food is always delicious, and the service is always exceptional. We have noticed that there is little turnover in wait staff; we see familiar faces each time we dine at Cappy's. This is a sign of an owner/management team that is committed to hiring and retaining the best employees, and this is surely why the food and service is head and shoulders above most competitors. Ever since restaurants reopened after the pandemic, we have found a small group of choices that consistently perform from the kitchen and the "front of the house"; Cappy's is always a great choice!
