   The food was very good and well prepared. Ben was our server and was exemplary. Always checking back to make sure that our needs were being met. Love the Peabody duck for dessert

   Very slow service. I had to get the attention of a server and ask them if they forgot about our table. The menu was ok. I've had a better experience here. They did not live up to their usual service and tasty food today. If this is where they are headed, I wouldn't go back.

   They were slow to seat us despite our reservation. The table next to us was allowed to have a FULL phone conversation on speaker phone which was very loud. For the prices we paid for lunch-- I would expect the environment to be more respectful. Wait staff was very polite and attentive.

   Excellent Caesar salad with just the right amount of dressing, not the heavy mayo kind. Shrimp scampi was outstanding, the chef wisely had the tails of the shrimp so the diner didn’t need to try and get them off while eating. Great pasta and bite-sized shape vs. something to twirl which can often lead to sauce splattered clothing, Andres did a great service job with just the right amount of attention, I would highly recommend

   The buns were stale, the steak was tiny, the tea was overly sweet, the dough on the pizza was undercooked. I spent over $200 on 6 meals and only 3 of them were actually good.

   Hostess was less than friendly. Did not look up at me when I approached her both times. First time I was told to come back at my reservation time…when they open (I checked in 10 min early). In the meantime it seemed like she sat people without reservations and there were quite a few tables with people. Approached the stand at my reservation time. Again didn’t look up at me and asked for my info. Food was average. My husband compared his pizza to Disneyland pizza. Wouldn’t dine here again with a downtown that has some many options.

    Extremely let down. Quality of hotel we thought it would be a quality meal for anniversary. Poorly seasoned food. Intentionally didn’t finish meal to grab something elsewhere. Very dissatisfied

    The Chicken Tortelloni, my wife ordered, was not prepared as expected. The chicken was missing in the entree. Second, we had to ask the waiter, a few times to bring our bread basket and water before our meal was brought to us. Third, the waiter did not leave a pen in the payment book. We had to find another waiter to bring us one. Overall, not a bad dining experience.

    Would have thought the food to be better - it was not. The steak had no flavor, the potatoes were served cold and some of the appetizers were just not on point. One of my co-workers did say her Salmon was good.

    Very nice place. Food was delicious…pizza, focaccia bruschetta, burger and fries..service was good with Rachel. We asked for a house wine which is usually less than what is on menu. It was $13.50 a glass…which for a house wine is ridiculous. Will have water next time.

    Worse Italian restaurant and vibe that I have ever been to. First time ever in an Italian restaurant that I was charged for bread and butter. The bisque was nothing more than some salty tomato soup, the mushroom ravioli sauce was warm milk with no seasoning and the pasta for the scampi was a little crunchy. We did not stick around for dessert. Was severely disappointed given the expectations of the Peabody and a renowned hotel. Please don’t waste the time or money. I hope this helps somebody!

    The food never lived up to the menu - had a pizza that tasted like it was made with refrigerator dough and canned sauce. Hubby had chicken parmigiana- salty, canned sauce taste. Service was understandablly slow but surprisingly unattentive. What a huge disappointment. Will not go back.

    Food was good but a little pricey and everything was ala carte and I have had better meals for the price. Wine was $11 a glass and up. Menu was very limited. Service was great and the ambience was nice!

    About half of the dining room was not in use so all the customers were crowded into one smaller space.i A large family came in right after we ordered. One of their children screamed throughout the entire meal. We changed tables but could still hear her screaming and crying. The ambiance was destroyed. I ordered the calamari and it was served in a wire basket lined with paper, with a sweet dressing akin to thousand island, on the side, not marinara sauce. They were out of the wine my husband wanted to order - another demerit. Our waiter was excellent - the saving grace of the evening.

    Took a very long time to put in our order and get our food (45+ mins). We could see they were shipping out plates to a private party across the lobby. Somewhat understandable. There was a fire alarm while we were waiting for our food. We only had to step out for a few minutes, but our food was sitting at our table when we got back in. Steak was slightly overcooked and the waiter insisted to take it back. We could see the manager scolding him and 10 minutes later he brought the same steak back out with the same piece I had cut off and tried to pass it off as a new steak. The manager tried to give us alcohol as compensation, but didn't think to ask if we drank. Was disappointing for the price.

    Excellent experience and the steak was superb! Staff went above and beyond. I’d highly recommend the Capriccio for a special occasion or just a nice evening out.

    Food was good. Service was very sketchy. As a senior couple we were at first seated at a table next to noisy crying children in a mostly empty dining room. We asked to be moved and were accommodated. We ordered and soup was delivered with no spoons. Took quite a while to get spoons while very good but very expensive lobster bisque cooled off. Entree was delivered but dirty appetizer/soup dishes were left on table. Waiter never returned to ask if we needed anything else until after we were finished. We had two pasta dishes and were never offered fresh pepper or Parmesan cheese. This was for a pasta dinner with soup and one glass of wine that cost $130 for two. Very poor value. Clearly this is a “tourist restaurant “ with no concern for returning customers. Better options for dinner nearby.

    First off. I would recommend not to book at the Peabody on any kind of holiday weekend. The hotel was extremely crowded for the July 4th holiday. If you're in anyway concerned about non-vaccinated people & crowding then do not go. When we arrived there was a huge crowd listening to someone going over the history of the ducks. Wall to wall, very few masks, obviously no social distancing. They also had only two elevators working which meant 10-15 minutes waits going up or down. . . and extremely crowded elevators. The security staff did a good job of overseeing, but it was crowded. Capriccio Grill was nice enough decor wise. The service was good, but not enough workers due to the pandemic shortage. It wasn't even full and the workers there were really hustling. The food and prices leave much to be desired. I had a caprese salad the chicken was dry and tasteless. .. At best the food ranked a 2 out of 5. Other menu items were way over priced if they averaged 3 out of 5 or less. . . We only went because we were last minute visitors to the Peabody and nothing downtown accepted anything after the following Tuesday or Wednesday. My advice don't go. .. and I would follow that up with the same for Chez Phillipe the other hotel restaurant. Haven't been for years, but if Capriccio is any indication of the food then you know what to do.
