    This restaurant has become our go to for family and friend birthday celebrations. The service, value and food is beyond amazing. The preparation and presentation is also bar-none. The manager Elliot even remembered us from our last visit. This level of service is hard to find nowadays. Reservations are needed but we highly recommend The Carillion.

    After my first time dining here, this is now one of my favorite restaurants in town! The food is absolutely delicious. The prices are incredibly low for the value.  Other restaurants in town probably cost double the price.  I was celebrating a birthday, and they gave us really pretty flowers to go. The service was incredible.

    I very much enjoyed the Carillon Restaurant. It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the ambience excellent. We chose it based on it being close to Bass Hall for a concert we were attending so it was a happy accident that it was perfect for us.

    Got the 3/$45 deal. Started with the pork and crab crudo. Pork was good, crab was a little fishy & we found a couple pieces of tendon (hard, clear, plastic feeling) in the dish. Got the lamb and duck, both were very good, would recommend them both! Ended with the banana cake and vegan key lime dessert. The banana cake was very good, key lime was okay. Overall an enjoyable experience.

    All of the food we ate was mediocre. A lot of it tasted like it came out of a can or a bottle. We waited an exceptionally long time for drinks, given the restaurant was almost empty.

    This is one of the best restaurants in Austin. Outstanding food and service with a quiet atmosphere. An open kitchen allowed us to view the chefs at work. Price point is not cheap but also less than some other 'high end' restaurants in town. We have always come away more than satisfied.

    We will be back for sure. It's a great value. Service is very good, not perfect but trying. Food quality was very good. The Mgr. introduced himself and went above and beyond to acolidate us. Loved it

    Womderful cocktails, wine, food and service! Our professional waiter, Carlos, was fantastic. The pork shank melted off the bone. No need for a knife, which by the way was emblazoned with a longhorn, Hook ‘Em! We will return again and again to the Carillon.

    It's been a while since I've been to the restaurant, but it's maintained its level of excellence. The wedge salad was very good and the steak was amazing. The sea bass was also very good, cooked perfectly, but the accompanying clams were well overcooked. My only criticism is there are far too many sauces on the main dishes. As for the service, our server was also amazing, but the main courses came way too quickly and we weren't even done with the salad. The timing needs to be better. We'll be back! Thank you!

    The food was average. Tuna was fishy tasting. Crab cakes weren’t crab cakes. It was a crab spread. Too creamy. Texas Cheese board was good.

    This is one of my top 5 dining experiences in Austin. The staff clearly love their jobs- they are bright, helpful and service-minded. Our waiter Sandi (sp) was very helpful in making recommendations for cocktails, prix fixe offers and personalizing choices. The manager, Elliot, gave us the history and capabilities for the venue, tempting us to dream of future dining opportunities. Sea bass - plump, moist and flavorful, sitting in a shallow pool of Tom Yum soup that zinged on my tongue. Beef carpaccio with subtle sauces and herbs to let the wagyu flavor present richly. Crab rilletes that we ate like butter smeared on crisp Easy Tiger breads. They always serve an amuse-bouche that brings gasps of pleasure.

    This was great! food was good but I loved the fact that the tables are not on top of each other so it was easy to have an actual conversation! The desserts didn’t move me but the entrees were delicious and staff was attentive and kind

    We used to think of Carillon as our special spot. The food was uniformly excellent and a great value. The pandemic played havoc with the restaurant industry as a whole and Carillon was not unscathed. It's been back for months now but it seems to have lost the spark that made it so good. Don't be mistaken, it's still a solid food choice and very good value. Somehow a little sparkle has disappeared.

    We picked the Carillon as we wanted a place quiet enough to have good conversation. In that respect it was great in terms of low noise, good ambience, and good service. The food however ranged from good to very disappointing. The tuna crudo and steak were good.The pork shank was ok but the gnocchi a bit chewy. We regularly order sea bass at many restaurants and this sea bass was very disappointing- the dish was not cohesize at all with the gilled delicate sea bass totally disconnected from the thai curry sauce. That sauce did not complement the delicacy of the grilled sea bass. The chocolate mousse dessert was good but the orange creme brulee and strawberry/thyme were super sweet -- all 3 guests left most of these two desserts on their plate.

    Great space, great food, great value. The pork shank was remarkable. These days conversing with my friends or date is of more value to me than going to some trendy, loud restaurant with over priced food. There are plenty of those in Austin to chose from!
