Carnaval Brazilian BBQ
Service was friendly and the way the buffet worked was well explained. The food was very good but a little on the salty side.
Service was mediocre from waitress took long time for drinks, meat servers were great.
Some meat came out blue rare
Had a great time as usual!
Good food and conversation.
Dining room was cold and drafty. Some patrons were wearing their outerwear. Last time we ate here it was typical Brazilian-style BBQ (self serve accompaniments) but now they are brought to the table in small bowls which end up leaving little room on the table for drink glasses or additional bowls. Plus some accompaniments came in quantities we would not have selected were we able to self serve. The meats were generally over cooked and the cheaper cuts were offered most frequently. Our cocktails were served room temperature and had to be sent back to be chilled. Trying to catch our server's attention was difficult and more annoying was the fact the server really couldn't care less. Will not return and would not recommend.
Food was fantastic!!!!! Serving staff were very friendly and attentive.
Felt like the air conditioning was on as we and several other tables had to eat with jackets on. Prices have recently gone up a couple bucks and they removed risotto side dish (was the best) and lamb from the meat options.
Meat itself was hit and miss.. some tender and amazing.. some under seasoned.. some too salty.
It is an experience.. if you haven't been, come try it. If you have been before, you know if you will be coming back.
Appetizers and salads were very good but chicken was way too salty and I didn’t like the beef.
We have been there before and it has been great, we went there just last weekend for a birthday dinner and the food unfortunately was under seasoned and over cooked. It was busy so we just blamed it on that. Our waitress came by twice in a 1.5 hour period and only said "is everything good" each time she came. The price has gone up each time we have gone there this year which is fine but I think if you're charging $57/plate it should be well worth it everytime. We were extremely dissapointed from comparison to previous times but if we go again we will try a non busier time to see if it's improved. The price was absolutely not worth it this time which is a shame because it is so expensive And like to treat ourselves once in a while. We also had a reservation for 8:15 and didn't get in until 8:30, Which I understand it was very busy. Not sure if we'll go back but we'll see how much the price Increases and if it's worth it. We have recommended the restaurant before but not sure if I will now.
There were four of us and two are real meat eaters. The selection was honestly not great. No meat coming around. We were offered chicken, sausages and ham. The higher quality of meats did not seem to come around until later. You would think with it being dinner time, they would be constantly coming around. Not everything on the menu for meat selections were offered either. The sides were mediocre at best. The fries were insanely salty. For $57 per person, it definitely was not worth it. Much better restaurants in this city for that kind of money.
We took our two international students (one from Brazil) to Carnaval for lunch. The food was amazing, the service was excellent. We will definitely come again!
First time there for myself and my boyfriend. Lots of option, large portions. Im not a meat eater, he is. so my only complaint is I wish there was another option for vegetarians in the BBQ area besides just the sides/salad seeing as you cant order the lounge menu
It’s was great our waiter Brett was great! Answered any/all questions we had and when he wasn’t exactly sure he would go ask, which was great! The service and food was spectacular, would definitely go again. Thank you for the lovely evening/meal it was a great treat!
I recommend not to eat breakfast or lunch the day you going there. It will be worth while because that way you will have more room for this marvellous food.
This was our 6th time at Carnaval over the years, and the first time we were not happy with the food; most of the meat was over cooked, under seasoned, and some very tough, ribs and brisket; also very disappointed that lamb is no longer on the menu, although it is still listed on the menu on your website! Also the grilled pineapple, that used to be carved at the table, is now grilled slices with the core, tough, brought to the table on a dish! Overall not a very nice experience, which it used to be. The only pleasant thing that evening was the service provided by our waitress.
Amazing food and great staff! Can’t wait to go back again 😍😍
Unfortunately it did not live up to its reputation this time around. While it was a decent meal, most of the meat we were offered was well or well done with not a hint of pink to be seen. We did request something a little more towards the medium rare side of things and they did make it out by the end. Athough we had dined for at least an hour, we didn't enjoy around half of the offerings. The mashed potatoes were a hit as always but the others were bland. Wine selection was good with one of our personal favorites by sottano available. Desert was also quite nice, with the red velvet cheesecake being a crowd favorite.
All in all, for what was just shy of a $300 meal for 3, we could have had a much better meal and experience elsewhere.
The service was outstanding, the food was good but many of our group found it too salty.
The one type of beef was sooo salty. The beef brisket was so fatty we couldn't eat it. And the pineapple only came around once. The sides took a bit long to come out at first...our server apologized for this. Our server was fantastic.
The most recent visit was a disappointment. The different cuts of beef were the most disappointing as they were often overdone or in some instances too rare almost blue and often quite chewy. Not our best experience for sure and we felt not worth the cost. It was my son’s birthday and this is the restaurant he chose so I feel most disappointed fir him.
It’s was my birthday and it was extra special had a cute sign, free dessert! The hostess and carvers were polite and accommodating! Ambiance was warm, clean and lighting was perfect not too dark or too bright! Food was great never had to wait. Classy and fulfilling. Definitely would go back. Only downside was construction in the area detours and trying to find parking. Overall experience a 10/10
Brent the server was just fantastic!! Food was phenomenal!
Side dishes weren't good cold took forever to come soup was like dish water corn frozen cobs no flavor. Everything was very cold after a few minutes. Meat was not bad to much with out sides. Had to ask for pineapple it was not griiled well. Wait staff seamed more in to clearing empty table
There was not many people in restaurant.
It was $57.00 a person and had to pay for parking $4.00 would never go back.
It's a fun night and atmosphere but this is the second time that I've been here and, with a few exceptions, the meat is consistently overdone. All you can eat is nice but, for most people, eating $57 of meat is difficult. Too expensive for the quality of the cooking.
Nice to feel full after eating out for a change.
And there was nothing that didn't taste great..
We’ve been to a few Brazilian restaurants and this by far was our least favorite. Certainly not worth the money, but there was no salad bar, the sides weren’t fresh or impressive, there weren’t options for the way the meat was cooked (well done, rare, etc), and finally there was no ambiance as it felt like an Olive Garden or Perkins inside. We won’t be returning.
Food was well made and came at a very smooth pace. At the end of the meal, we were provided with two grilled pineapple slices to help with digestion which was such a tasty light snack at the end of the meal which I found made a great ending to the meal.
Good dining experience but I wish they had more options for lunch that did not have pork in them
Service was good, the new items (pork loin, short rib) were very good as well!
We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The ambience wasn't much, it's quite bright inside. We had a candle on our table but it wasn't lit. It felt more like a place you would go out for lunch at. The service was good and the food was hot. Although, the majority of the time the meat was overdone and way over seasoned. I felt like I was eating beef jerky. The sides we ordered weren't anything special, the mixed vegetables were very mushy. For the price we paid, we could have gone to a nice steakhouse to enjoy a medium rare cooked steak, more food and a couple more drinks. Which is what we will do next time we are celebrating anything.
It was delicious and the waitress was very polite and nice
It would be nice if restaurants would enforce their self-proclaimed dress code for both staff and patrons. The ambiance was disappointing for a $60/person meal.
Very delicious food. A good experience. A little delay on sides and drinks.
Totally depends on the friend . Their taste and their experience wants .
The service was wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfectly ideal for an evening out!
Food is sooo good! Will definitely be coming back again!
We enjoyed the food and it was fantastic.
However, the service was not at it's best. I've been to Carnaval before couple times and was excited to bring my family for a special dinner but the service was disappointing. We waited a long time for our waitress and for the sides. Waiting for the bill took forever because the waitress was talking to one of the guests. We stood up so someone could notice us and still it took them couple minutes to approach us. We were really tired and it was a little annoying waiting for a long time.
Was as always was amazing. Just maybe was a bad night.
Dive into another cultural experience and an endless feast of fine meats and food
Experience is one of a kind. I personally found the sides better than the meats but the rest of the group loved it.
It was my first time dining at Carnival and I would definitely go back. Our waiter was very helpful, friendly and professional. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed ourselves the full time we were there. Thank you for the great experience!
Awesome, just a little expensive I think. .....................................................................…
