Carver's Steak House - Executive Airport Plaza Hotel
Extremely disappointed this is base on food only.. we order 4 different types of steak. We all agree we are not happy with our food. I specially feel bad as I suggested the place. I think the chef needs to try similar price establishment. To realize how bad their steak are . Tasteless we all order medium well one is bleeding the other 2 is burnt
Worst experience dining ever ..... only two waitresses... waited for drinks after ordering for 35 min before we reminded them and then another 15 mins for it to be wrong 🤬
Took 45 mins for appies and about another 45 mins for main course my husbands was good Mine was not eatable disgusting... took an additional 35 mins before anyone came by .... at this point just wanted to leave ... horrible service have been there before loved it service was the best .... now just a waste of time and money asked for bill and to have our deserts to go ... waitress comes back 10 mins later with new plates and forks 🤔 advised that it was to go again waited another 15 mins and decided not worth it and just left ..... NEVER AGAIN
Décor outdated - service slow - every other table was served and eating the entrees before we received our appetizers - tuna appetizer was returned twice - first time was well done and the 2nd time the tuna tasted frozen. Entrée steak dinners were overcooked and orders were incorrect - the steaks were not what we ordered.
Very poor service and food - we will not return
Meat for two of us was overcooked just not a good experience
Service was good as were prices.
We had a tenderloin which we had to return as it was overdone. We didnt complain but were disappointed as it was over cooked. The server offered us a new steak but brought back prime rib instead of a tenderloin which was not cooked as I had originally requested.
Also took them awhile to ask how our food quality was....
I would have been fine without the prime rib but felt that if you offer something that is what you should bring out not whatever is leftover in the kitchen.
Had dinner here with family. Ambience is very relaxing, comfortable & quiet. The hostess & server were very nice & accommodating. Food was delicious & the serving was enough. Even the manager went around the tables to ask how everything was. Good experience all in all.
Very relaxed, quiet restaurant. Service was very friendly and sweet. The food took a little longer to come but the filet mignon could be a bit more tender and tasty. My sirloin was very good, next time we are going to try the prime rib.
Great food with good service and atmosphere. Really enjoyed the food we ordered. Beef fillet mignon was cooked very tender, and lobster fettuccine was very delicious. Definitely will go back
went on a Groupon. Excellent value, attentive service, reasonable priced drink menu, steaks done to perfection. would go back & would recommend! thank you, Carvers!
Excellent service and food as always
A great steakhouse in Richmond and close to the airport
Steaks were unbelieveably tender, cooked exactly the way we wanted. Service was prompt as well
Management customer service excellent. Kids menu options can improve a bit
Friendly staff and food was very good. Good for couples or large parties which is good to know.
Found the service was too slow. We had our reservations for 6:30pm and we did not get our appetizers until an hour or more later. By that time, we were so hungry we had stuffed ourselves with bread with not much room left for the entree. Wasn't a very good dinner experience and of course it did not help when you have hungry toddlers with you.
Great service and amazing food quality and quantity. Special cuts a must try.
It was fine. The steak was tasty, not much resembled the pics on previously looked at reviews. The staff was very accommodating. Might eat here again, would recommend to a friend after letting know the finer points.
The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived at 6pm (only 3-4 other tables). The food tasted great, was good portion size, and the price was good.
The service was good up until we finished eating, after our plates were removed we could not get the servers attention (there were only 2 servers in the restaurant on a Sunday evening). We waited 20+ minutes to have someone ask us if we needed anything else, at which time we requested 1 bill. We then waited another 20+ minutes to receive the bill and have a terminal brought to our table to complete the payment transaction. (We had a 15% off coupon that we presented to the server upon sitting down, and did not realize until I was writing the review that I did not actually receive the discount...partially my fault for not checking the bill, I guess).
We had been warned that the service was VERY slow, and the people we had talked to before going to the restaurant had recommended against it...but I really wanted Steak and did not want to leave the hotel for supper that night.
The food was very good, but the service was spotty (even on a slow night when there was less then 1/4 of the restaurant full).
I would probably not eat at this restaurant again.
Always get a great meal here. Food is outstanding. Will always go back. My husband always gets the best steak and he is happy Everytime!! I myself love the three course, always tasty. Primerib was fabulous. Thx so much for a wonderful experience.
Excellent all round. Celebrating our Dotter & son in la 40th Anniversary.
We shalll C U on our 66th, mid June. thanks.
The rib eye steak was incredible!
Food was good and atmosphere was relaxing
Food and service was excellent; however, Kitchen was slow to bring out our food. Didnt seem they could handle the volume of patrons that day. Would definitely go back for the food. Good portions for the price.
Not so impressed for first time visit (Valentine's Day Dinner). It didnt deliver the quality and flavours of the food (escargot, crab cake, undercooked steak). The service was average, but the hostess was friendly and helpful. Maybe will visit again, just maybe...
It was fun and relaxing
Great overall rating restaurant with friendly service. Delicious selections on the menu with decent portion size.
Very good service. All the workers were extremely friendly and polite
Food was good however potatoes came cold. Ordered a bottle of wine, which they had trouble finding, when it arrived at the table it was opened. Booked as a birthday dinner. They never mentioned it or wished happy birthday. Decor not what I was expecting for what I thought was to be fine dinin
It is the worst experience I have. We made the reservation at 7 pm. When we arrive, no one is available and we stand at the door for 10 min. No one! Then we sat at the table and order our dish. Then it takes almost half an hour to get our first glass of water and another 40 mins to get our first starter. The food is fair but it definitely not worth $40 for a dine out menu. Will never go there.
It’s good for Dint Out Vancouver providing lots of choices to choose from. But I would say there food are very average.
If I could have given service 10 stars I would have.
The service was top notch from the moment I made the reservation until the moment we left. We ordered off a preset menu (dineout Vancouver) and everything was good. When it came to taste and presentation nothing was bad, it was just that nothing was GREAT. For the $40 price point on the Dine Out menu I have had more amazing food at other places. My medium rare sirloin was cooked perfectly. No real cozy, romantic tables for couples. Would suggest as a nice family place for special event. The staff was truely phenomenal and based on how attentive they were I would suggest Carver's Steak House.
○Decent food / very limited menu/ nothing memorable
○Free parking available
○If i had to choose 1 dish: escargot
○Would I go back ? No
The place was not too bad but the service was good. The only issue was the food was just too plain. The sirloin and fish has no flavour. The only thing I thought was good was the dessert. I am not a big fan of desserts but it has more flavour then then appetizers and the main course.
Seating was strange, we were placed into a meeting room for the hotel. Food took literally 2 hours after we were seated. 4 of us ordered steak, and all 4 were cold. Sent them back and the manager on duty looked extremely unhappy and passive aggressive about small things. They reheated our steaks and took an old one, cut it up, and gave it to us as gratis. I dont know, i wouldnt go back.
Very noisy with a big group table next to us. Steak is great even with dine out menu. Always problem with short staff. We ordered coffees right after finish entree but coffees arrive after deserts were done.
Went for dine out, a few friends recommended/raved about the restaurant. Appetizer I had the escargot, and that was amazing. However I was disappointed as my entree (NY steak) was cold, border line warm... But service was nice and friendly. I would give this restaurant another try.
Overall experience is really tasty. The steak is really tender and juicy.
We went for a dinner as part of the dine out vancouver experience. We were very surprised at the number of options we had. I decided on the lamb shank and my husband the 10 oz steak. They were cooked to perfection and the presentation was spot on. The wine pairings enhanced the meal. Service was fantastic. They were really trying to make it a memorable dining experience. Oh for the appetizers we got the tuna tataki --very lovely and the baked oysters, well they were probably the only thing that wasn't the best. They tasted like a cream soup. Overall I would recommend this place.
We were there for Dine Out Vancouver 2018. The food was fine. However, service was pretty bad. We had a booking at 7pm, but they were unable to provide us with the table until 15mins after, and the table wasn't fully set up. We had to wait for 5mins until a server gave us water and the menu. A server took our order and said bread would be provided soon, but we had to wait another 10mins until the bread came, while other later tables had bread and we didn't. My sister wanted escargot for appetizer, but the server told us they ran out. Then later, we heard other tables ordered escargot and they had it. That server was lying. Also, the plating of dishes was bad. There was a little crumb of the cake on the side of the plate.
The while process was slow. We thought each table has it's own server, but the servers were helping each other, and no one really came and checked us out.
Again, the food was fine, but the service was bad. I won't go back again.
We visited this place for Dine Out Vancouver. The selections were great for $40. We were seated early, given our glass of water but took awhile for someone to get our order or give us any attention. Luckily, one of the servers gave us some yummy bread with balsamic/ olive oil. We were starving!
The food came to us at a decent time! The restaurant was quite busy during this time and they may have been under staffed. One of the servers fell in the back kitchen due to water spill! Hopefully she was okay!
Overall, between two people we spent $112 with 2 dine out menus, 1 glass of wine, liquor and 2 coffee .
