It's been at least 20 years since we last dined at this iconic restaurant. The service was topnotch, starting with the super friendly and accommodating hostess who quickly found us another table so we wouldn't have to sit at the entrance to the kitchen. Our server was also a delight! I'm sorry I can't recall either of their names. We enjoyed our meals. The steaks were all very flavorful, though my husband's top sirloin wasn't as tender as he expected. My charbroiled shrimp skewers were overcooked and a little tough, but still tasty. The sides were great -- fresh and cooked to perfection. Our party all ordered the add-on salad bar, which was very fresh and offered lots of choices. The ambiance was disappointing.The decor was tired and drab with no apparent improvements or changes made over the decades. With so many other dining options in the area, I don't think we're likely to return.

Finally an “old school” restaurant where the mega corporate get-em in and get-um out mentally haven’t taken over. Warm enveloping interior. Great charming service and cheerful staff. Delicious food and drinks. Great value. Fork tender prime rib. A true hidden gem tucked away from the mega style shopping centers. Hate to ruin it by letting the secret out but have to give credit where credits due. Replacing Longhorn with this beauty. Actually relaxing. Imagine that.

When I made the reservation I indicated this was for a birthday celebration. There was no acknowledgment of it whatsoever. Not sure the Cask n Cleaver no longer does anything for special occasions At first we were served the wrong order Then my steak was overcooked and another was undercooked. Did not send either of them back. Maybe it was an off night as it was busy and it appeared to be understaffed

Enjoyed a birthday dinner for a friend on Monday night. He had a steak & baked potato + side salad. I had a halibut special with ginger marmalade sauce & rice pilaf. Both were excellent! We were seated along the back window wall overlooking the waterfall which was very nice.

Great food and service and as always, the salad bar was fresh. Surfaces could have been a little cleaner, but overall due to the restaurant being quite full of customers, it is a little understandable that the folks could not keep up with cleaning the surfaces of the salad bar area. Prime rib was cooked exactly as ordered and so was the filet mignon. We will be returning! Love this place!

We were late because of a traffic accident. We called to let the restaurant know and theu were very nice and said no worries. A member of our party arrived on time and they were seated to wait for us. I thought this was very accommodating because most restaurants will no ket you be seated until everyone has arrived..

I gave a low score on the service, but I don’t blame it all on the server. The restaurant was very busy on a Sunday night at 6 and it appeared our server had a huge section all by herself. We didn’t’ get our bread until we asked for it, I never got my side of rice and was charged for it and we had to hunt down the manager to correct the bill. Our server was sweet, apologetic and overwhelmed by the number of tables she had to take care of. The food was good , we got it in a timely manner and on the plus side we did not get charged a corkage fee for the wine we brought. This will not stop us from going again, but like most places since covid, there are just not enough people who want to work. I guess we just have patience and enjoy the time we have with the people we go to dinner with.

One of my favorite side dishes was the salmon… there’s no exceptions they don’t and can’t offer it anymore. Food was fantastic but wasn’t the same without my side salmon

Very busy, but it usually is, but service was much more unresponsive than usual. Refills on drinks, even water was slow or not done. No check to see if more bread needed, etc. it’s the little things that stand out (positive and negative).

Fantastic food--the best steakhouse in the IE in terms of consistently superior food. Flemings really can't hold a candle to CnC if you want food that is excellent all the time--we've found Flemings to be so inconsistent. Additionally, the wait staff at CnC are very friendly and willing to take the time for my elderly MIL to order. No soft surfaces, though, so it's a very energetic atmosphere. Delicious, as always.

The food was really sub par for the price. My friend asked for med well filet and it was almost rare. My husband's mammoth chicken was just edible, not good. Servers were hustling and trying hard, but different people kept waiting on us, kind of chaotic. Our assigned server forgot the lime for my drink, said he would bring it, but never did. I would be hesitant to return there. It's too bad, because we like to frequent and support local restaurants.
