The hospitality and food were amazing. We were celebrating our 8 year old daughter's birthday and the staff made her feel so very special. The bbq wings, burgers, and ribs were delicious from start to finish.

When I made our reservation for lunch, I included the information that it was an anniversary lunch. We arrived to find a special table, draped with flowers scattered. The wait staff could not have been more pleasant!

Fantastic location, great scenery, excellent ambience. The BBQ was ok, the rub a little dry and spicy for my taste, but meat was cooked to perfection. The cost for a few bits of brisket and a couple bones of baby back ribs was way too high and our server disappeared after taking our order. No checking on the food, no drink refills, I had to go look for her when we wanted to leave. Go in expecting small portions and an independent dining experience, and enjoy the great view!

Why bother making a reservation if you are told when you arrive that a party of only two cannot be seated in the main dining room on a Friday night. Only larger parties can be seated in the preferred dining room while we were seated in the bar with sticky tables and an over worked bartender acting as waiter, bartender and host. Also with the early reservation that we made, the main dining room didn't even fill up until we left. I will say, however, that the bbq sampler that we ordered was delicious, although it definitely was not enough meat for the advertised three to four people. There was enough of the salad and sides for four, but four skinny ribs, two chicken thighs, a dolup of pulled pork would not have been enough had we come with another couple. Having complained about all that, I will say the flavor was excellent and we would give it another try during midweek with a larger group.

Overall it was more about the company, our waiter was really nice and attentive. The food was average, location was convenient. My group of 4 opted for the picnic which was a fun idea because we each picked a side and a meat so we had a lot to try. The portions are very generous - plenty for everyone and some to take home too. I felt the sides over-shined the meat choices which we picked brisket, chicken thighs (too salty, too much dry rub and over cooked so dry), burnt ends and ribs. The burnt ends were the best item - if I went back I would order those. All the sides were good. Nice selection of drinks be your choice wine, cocktail, beer or non-alcoholic.

Food was good, service was good, patio was great, drinks were good. Overall enjoyable but, nothing was outstanding. Pulled pork sandwich was tasty, but meat was over-done and dry. Worst was the odor when we moved inside to watch a game. Smelled like their sewer had backed up - not a very pleasant odor.

Food and service very good but when we went to pay with pre paid dollar card it wouldn’t work was asked whether we had activated it and did we have enough money to cover the bill the answer was yes and we paid cash used card today at Desert Museum and had no problem suggest they sort their card machine as Walmart Desert Museum and Crackerbarrel had no problem

We celebrated our anniversary there and they had roses at the table and a beautiful table set up with menus! The whole experience was beautiful and they were very attentive to us and the rest of the customers ❤️ the food was so good I had the bbq salmon and hubby had the jackfruit which, I tasted and was very good. Overall a great place! You won’t be disappointed. Ashley was our server thank you Ashley ❤️

My S.O. and I came here for apps and dessert. We ordered smoked chicken wings which were very good although pricey (8 wings for $18) although inflation is affecting all sectors of our lives. The chocolate cake was very rich and indulgent. We will return if we are in the area.

We had dinner after golfing at Starr Pass. The restaurant is right by the golf course, same parking lot, views of the course. We chose to sit in the bar area which had TV screens for sports on Sunday night. The chopped brisket sandwich was out of this world good. The toasty bread, meat, a little cheese and caramelized onion added. A trio of BBQ sauces on the side were brought to the table, but honestly, the BBQ meat was so good you almost didn't want to add the sauces. But we did anyway because the sauces were well worthy of a try. My husband ordered a two meat plate with the same delicious brisket and also pulled pork. Excellent. You have several choices of sides. The fried cauliflower was okay (a bit too soft inside, crunchy fried outside), but too heavy to combine with the richness of the mains. I will go for the lightness of the side salad next time. I could only eat half the sandwich and brought it home for lunch the next day and got to re-live my glorious meal over again. I toasted the top piece of bread and nuked the rest. Delicious the next day too. The waiter was excellent and the food came out quickly, but it was a quiet night with only a few tables present.

Bar….great. Service…. Well done…..potato skins and 3 meat platter…….worst food I have ever had on vacation……pulled pork dry & cold. Brisket “goldish” in color, cold, tough. Ribs; over sauced and also cold with no pork flavor. Would not recommend, will not go back.

We hadn't been to Catalina Barbecue Co. for 2-1/2 years. I had read some very good reviews and some seemingly not so good. We went as a group of 6 and we were very pleased. I thought service was excellent and the food was as good as I had remembered. It was nice to see a good size crowd there and I thought the atmosphere was very pleasant. We had appetizers, main course and shared a dessert. Everything was very good and enjoyable. Both my husband and I took home leftovers.

A burger is just a burger but when you pay this kind of price for a burger, it should be tasty. Also, who can mess up,a baked potato? Apparently this place can. Served cold, no butter and barely any sour cream. Burger was tasteless and no better than fast food. We sat outside which was peaceful and nice, but that was the only good thing about our visit. I will say all our dining experiences at this hotel were subpar. We ate at Primo. Catalina BBQ, plunge, and salud. We stayed away from signature grill due to poor reviews. Our expensive Bloody Mary wasn’t even served with a celery stick or olives! This hotel needs to up their food and bar offerings!
