Catch was excellent but Open Table is a pain. When we changed the number of people all looked well but it never updated my reservation or what the restaurant showed.
We live in Steveston and had tried Catch when it first opened and were not too impressed. After looking at the menu and seeing many choices for varied appetites, we decided to give it another try. We are very glad we did. The Mediterranean flatbread alone would have us returning. It was amazing! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. We will go back again soon.
There were four of us, all of whom found the food and the service to be excellent.
Have eaten here twice with large groups and both times, everyone loved their meals (starters and mains). All hits, no misses.
Great venue, food and service although the mussels could use an improvement to what the competition is doing.
Did not know anything about this restaurant. What a great find. will certainly be back. Great value, great view, very friendly staff. And an elevator for folks who cannot do the stairs.
This was our first time here. Was very impressed by the service. Food was good. Nice setting.
Love the catch! It’s my local go to. Great spot, great food! Had fun playing the Xbox in the sports bar the other week!
Five of us all enjoyed our lunch and we all had something different than the others.
The shocker was one person ordered a warm seafood salad for $18.00 which was reasonable but asked for the side of Prawns to be added for an additional $7.50. They received two , yes 2 Prawns total on the plate.
Very excessive pricing we all thought. I have rich friends who pay no attention to restaurant pricing so they would be the ones I would recommend to eat here.
Lovely view and great service. Our food was good but not exceptional as the price would indicate.
Birthday dinner - took a very long time for the birthday boy to get his beverage (changing something on tap), hungry child was served last (hint: always serve kids first!), did not think tv in restaurant should have been showing wrestling as we were trying to eat (especially when the Olympics are on!?!?). The food was excellent, server was friendly and view beautiful! We will be back!!!
Gorgeous view, great service, lovely food. We were delighted by the sunny view across the fishing boats and the Sound over to the mountains on Vancouver island.
The reservation had requested a window seat which we were given. Huge points to the hostess for that. The server was friendly, fun but unobtrusive. The menu is extensive enough with plenty of choices in different price categories.
We all ordered choices from their more casual selections. The food is tasty and fresh. We had a lovely evening with old friends.
Excellent Dine out Vancouver menu - excellent value for $30 per person, nice selection. Great service, food was very tasty. Just be careful if you park in pay parking - dont be a second late, you will get a parking ticket, like we did!
Good value on the Dine Out Vancouver menu. Great service.
Dine out Vancouver deal is very well worth it. Good food. Good service. Nice view.
Great location and time. Food was OK and service was good.
The view is awesome, the food is very good. Worth the price!
Romantic place with scenic view. Reasonable price and food. Not bad at all!
Waited long time to entree to come, and it was cold by the time it came. My surf and turf steak was in pieces and over done :(
Absolutely wonderful dining experience! We will definitely be coming here again!
Used the “ Dine Out Vancouver “ for an introduction to this restaurant and was very impressed. The service was what impressed us, from the server who took us to our table to the server who removed our plates. The “Dine Out” menu was good value for the price. Will return to try their regular menu soon.
We tried the Dine Out menu the other night and this was our first visit to the newly revamped restaurant that was formerly Charthouse. Overall the food, decor and service has been nicely enhanced, so we will definitely be returning on a nice sunny afternoon.
environment excellent, server is friendly and very alert of the customer , food was really good, can't ask for more. a must try place
Food at Catch has remained consistently good since opening up. Service is very good and the view can’t be beat in Steveston.
The service was average considering it was not busy the waitress was not attentive The food came out luke warm and it was over cooked.
We met old friends from out of town for brunch on New Year's Day and were very pleased with the food and the location. Great views from many of the tables, the food was good, although not spectacular, but fairly priced, and the coffee kept coming. For visiting, it has a great atmosphere: casual and comfortable.
Your setting was relaxed and our waitress was very attentive and nice. The spinach dip appetizer was so-so. Cabonara spaghetti was not as good as in a prior visit ... two of us were sharing it, it did not come out piping hot like before, and the portion looked smaller than before ... we wondered if this was because the restaurant did not like us 'sharing'. One of us had the burger with fixings, which was very good and the best dish.
Great Food and Service. This was the first time that we had come to this restaurant. Our party enjoyed the lunch.
We had a great evening and the food was enjoyed by all, portions were quite large. The waiter was very informative and efficient. A couple of people in our group had been there before and they have enjoyed it each time. Cookie desert was awesome and great for sharing! Our group of 8 ranged in age from 13-83 and even tho there was a large group for a Christmas Party, we were able to have conversations just like we would at home. I would recommend Catch for any size group. I know the views are great in the daytime and all tables had good views.
The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. The halibut was moist and tasted fresh. Having BC wine is always a good find especially when your guest are from a landlocked part of the country. Sadly, it is latefall inSteveston so the restaurant was empty except for one other table. It is time to get out and support the local independent places!
Food was really good as usual but my Halibut was ruined with salt
Great honest service, very good food, halibut entree was excellent. Fantastic view of the fisherman's wharf set against a sunset backdrop over the pacific.
Not a good experience and I wouldn't go again, entirely on account of the food.(Our first tipoff was that the place was pretty empy when we arrived.) The server was great; not so the lunch. One person ordered the seafood salad, which had far too much dressing. The other two ordered fish and chips, which was basically a plate of fries with a tablespoon of cole slaw and a very tiny piece of fish. We complained and were given 15-per-cent off the bill.
Enjoyed it. Quiet for lunch but food menu was broad and well prepared and fresh. Alcohol options need upgrading but typical for Richmond, Steveston. Will look forward to going again.
This may be one of my new favourite spots. Ambiance is great as is the view. Food is very good and friendly service. Prices are very reasonable. Great spot.
The food was amaxing to say the least. Our server was so attentive and made an amazing Ceaser. You definitely get what you pay for
We have been twice now to Catch. The service is quite good and accommodating. However, the lighting is very odd and it is too bright in some areas and not bright enough in others (this was in the dining room not bar area). The use of space is odd as well. There is a huge amount of empty floor space in front of the bar that could be a better business generator. The food is dependable, have had a great corn/crab chowder and linguini and clams so far. The calamari could do with less batter, a bit dry. We had a good meal and a good time though.
The four of us all had seafood dishes and all 4 were different and spectacular. Good value for the prices. Our friends were from Vancouver and had never been there before. They said they would go back. We come in from Tsawwassen. Great ambiance and very downtown ish.
Very slow service, food was cold and inconsistent.
Amazing view, good food, very good service. If you are looking for a great spot to look out over the fishing boat harbour, this is it. The food is much better than the places along the dock and the view is better as well. Friendly professional staff.
Overall dining experience was fantastic. My menu recommendation - Edamame were exceptional !
