Food is innovative and delicious. Go with people you are happy to share food with and order different small plates. Daily expensive, but worth it due to innovative ness of chef and deliciousness.
Delicious food, great service, really enjoyed our meal!
Have dined here on and off last 5 yrs, with spotty experiences, but tonight was the bullet in the coffin. Wish I could be more generous, but difficult when we are forced to wait 20 mins for reso, ignored by wait staff, constantly sat with a table full of dirty empty glasses and plates, given terrible food recos by waiter (suggest giving diners a heads up when you recommend an appetizer that includes sardines and anchovies), and, not once asked how we were and if we needed anything, etc. This is fast food service with a big price tag. The food was just ok- octopus a bit dry, artichokes seemed canned, empanadillas tasty enough, the blue cheese/fig app was so imbalanced that my husband told me he just "choked it down" cuz he was starving. The capper for me was watching at least 4 wait staff scurrying around to get the restaurant prepared to close while we sat there with empty water/wine glasses completely dying of thirst from the excessive salting of the meal, waiting to be asked for our dessert selections. The place was packed - all i can think is that folks living at Yonge and St Clair REALLY want to walk to a restaurant, or really want decent wines and are willing to suffer thru terrible food and service.. Ended up apologizing to friends we invited there. Sorry, but i will not be returning.
Always a great choice. Really good food, and very excellent service all round.
We were there for Thanksgiving and enjoyed it immensely! The food was amazing - it was tapas-style and everything we tried was delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for food and wine. On top of that, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that wines are half-priced on Mondays!
Amazing place.. Great food!
We had a fantastic dinner there. Cava was great at accommodating my unusual food intolerances.
I’ve been here several times and it’s always phenomenal. The food is amazing and the wait staff is so knowledgeable and eager to help. Highly recommend for date night (not cheap though).
Food was great, but our server was a bit awkward/unattentive. Would go again for the food.
It was okay nothing bad but nothing outstanding not much else to say scallop goud though.
For the price I was expecting a more fulfilling experience. Not precisely original Spanish cuisine. The place had a nice cozy ambience.
Cava never disappoints! This is THE place for authentic tapas in Toronto. A true gem found near midtown tucked inside Delisle Court.
Incredible food and service ! The waiter was very knowledgeable from wine, food to dessert. We followed all his recommendations and loved it all. Can’t wait to return !
The paella was excellent!
it was all great! we will be back for more great food!
One of my favorite spots this weekend they were short staffed so the service was not as it usually is. And it was very hot...top knotch food...
As always, wonderful food and service. Plus a good wine suggestion to buy a bottle for the two light drinkers and take home what was left.
Food was good but not stellar, service was good & friendly, food was fast. Menu covered a lot of areas but food was pricey for what it was. Ok if you've never been to Spain or had tapas before but generally average. All tapas, small portions even for tapas. Patio is uninspired & feels more like a food court(noisy from surrounding shops), sit inside. Was adequate but won't be returning.
Low-key, excellent service with exquisite food. Foodgasms are imminent, especially if you order the foie gras. My bf and i ordered it 6 times, before and after the meal. Definitely worth a try, and we’ll worth the price!
The food was extremely poor, I would recommend this restaurant for drinks only!
Great dinner again! The food was very good and the wine list quite superb! Our waiter was very nice
I’ve been to Cava so many times and they just keep getting better! Fantastic food and friendly, knowledgeable staff makes for a great night!
Food was fabulous but I think this is the noisiest restaurant that I have ever eaten in. It made the experience unpleasant so I don't think I will ever return (despite the food quality). I would only recommend to a young friend who didn't mind being in a super load place.
The waiters and host were wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious as always. They are mindful of allergies. A great night all around !
Very disappointed. Service was terrible. Food delish! Waiter ignored us most of the time even when there was no one in the resto. Never acknowledged my birthday and it was on reservation. Haven't been here since Chris left and will never go back
Cava knows fish! With the exception of a pork jowel dish, everything we had was spectacular. Standouts were supergilda, eggplant, scallops and butterfish with black rice with collard greens.
Amazing food, service and ambiance! The chef chose our meals and it was delicious!
This is my second time going to Cava. This time was for my spouse’s birthday and joining us was my stepdaughter.
We found the evening to be very enjoyable. The location and atmosphere are nice (sophisticated but approachable). The staff were really friendly and answered all our questions about the food and beverages. They made excellent recommendations as we enjoyed all the dishes (this is a tapas style restaurant so we got to try a lot of things). Some of our favorites were the grilled octopus and the duck.
The evening ended with some simple dessert and the restaurant sent out some açaí sorbet and vermouth.
All in all a great night and we would defiantly go again.
Very enjoyable experience. Added value - half price wine evening. Extensive selection of Riojas.
Delicious food. Ver efficient and knowledgeable wait staff.
I have been to Cava numerous times and always enjoy the experience. Great food, knowledgeable staff, amazing wine list.
Food is good and the service is good. Paella wasn’t on the menu but you can ask for it. We decided to order something else because it would take 40 minutes to make Paella. The portion is relatively small thus the price is higher compared to the other good Spanish restaurant.
Always a treat! Reliable quality. Knowledgeable staff. Enough changes in menu to keep us eager to return. Outstanding wine list
Great food, great service. Perfect for a special occasion
Everything was amazing! The food was dancing to the delight of our palates😊 Good Show! Staff was very attentive
The service at this restaurant was excellent as well as the recommended wine. We found the food to be mediocre. Other than the fries which were excellent, most of the tapas dishes were sub par. One of our main courses which was apparently new to the menu was the muscles. They were fishy tasting and totally uninteresting with chunks of tomato and green olives. Fortunately we did not get sick.
We have eaten at Cava many times but this was our best meal there. Everything was superb--the Papas Fritas, the rapini, cauliflower and eggplant dishes, the Argentine shrimp, and the wondrous chocolate, blueberry, peanut dessert. The service was excellent too. Simply first rate.
It was ok but we won't go back. Very noisy inside, so we asked to sit outside (because it's covered in case of rain) even though we'd made a reservation for the bar. There was no problem, they were very accommodating. Service was very pleasant and polished, but really slow, not enough servers for the number of people....and all the servers were very busy.
It was very overpriced for the calibre of food, which is mediocre and not really tapas, jut small dishes with too many ingredients and not well cooked. Very inferior to even the most ordinary tapas I've had in Spain.
I was with a friend who had gone there frequently a few years ago. In his opinion, it used to be excellent, but clearly has deteriorated and is apparently appealing to a perhaps younger and less discriminating clientele, who don't really know tapas.
