We've been to Cedar Knoll twice in the last month. Both times, we were delighted with the experience. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Drinks were also quite good. Interesting cocktails, lots of local beer, wine and cider choices, and a very good wine list. Our server, Ian, was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Best of all, we sat out on the patio overlooking the Potomac River. The location is gorgeous. The interior of the restaurant also has a lovely ambiance. Looking forward to going back again when we want a special night out.

CedarKnoll was everything we expected. The inviting dining room so beautifully set for a delightful and tasty luncheon with old friends. The staff welcomed us with friendliness and served to make everyone happy and well-fed with a delicious meal while overlooking lush green lawn with a view of the Potomac River. Thank you!

It’s a charming little restaurant but on this night we waited more than 90 minutes for our meal. All of the meals were served like warm. The food was good but would’ve been so much better if it had been hot. Disappointed.

Visited this beautiful restaurant for a Mother’s Day outing, and it was a lovely experience overall. The ambiance was excellent — elegant, warm, and perfectly complemented by stunning views of the Potomac River. It really set the tone for a special day. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. While service was generally good, there were a few moments where it felt slightly delayed. Similarly, the food, while flavorful and well-presented, wasn’t piping hot when it arrived. That may have been due to the set Mother’s Day menu, which likely meant dishes were prepared in batches rather than made to order. Despite that, the menu selection was great and had something for everyone. Most importantly, my mom and grandmother truly enjoyed the outing, which made the day a success. Would definitely consider returning on a regular day to experience the full range of what the restaurant has to offer.

Mixed experience at Cedar Knoll for Easter brunch due to a high volume of patrons and slightly chaotic experience. Our server was warm and polite but I don’t think we will be back, especially on a busy holiday!

This was on Easter Sunday, but we were celebrating my daughter's birthday. I called twice to say we were celebrating a birthday. They were overbooked, understaffed, untrained staffing - it was horrible. The tables were crowded together, the noise was horrible. The service was VERY slow. Not once did they tell me it was a fixed price dinner - two of us are vegan, one is gluten-free. No choices. The tip was written in at 20% and the bill was over six hundred dollars for four adults, three children. Will never go again.
