Consistently delivers a product you can depend on. This occasion I was lucky enough to enjoy the Lobster Mushroom appetizer special. Served piping hot with butter and melted cheese it was more than I could actually finish. My muscles were so good, I took the sauce home with me to repeat with shrimps the next day. Servers are always well informed and unobtrusive. Looking forward to our next visit.

Regular and big fan but I preferred the intimacy and the warmth of the old location / design. Noise level also increased due to how the new space is set up, a bit too much for my liking, but I will compromise for the food still and visit. Dinner service is great. Lunch service was very disappointing, but I blame our one server specifically not the operation. She simply does not belong and does not know how to handle working at a place like chambar. She is best suited to work at Red Robin perhaps.

Chambar has always been a great location for food and ambiance. The shift to this new location has only taken what was a great restaurant and allowed it to polish the rough edges out to now be a very special one. The overall ambiance is less intimate that their previous location, but they have managed to keep the overall space warm and inviting. They are well setup to serve groups of 5-10, which is refreshing, and have numerous nooks for the couple looking for some privacy. The Bar is well laid out, and great for a drink and quick bite as well. I haven't tried the patio yet, but that too will come shortly. The staff if anything are showing what happens when you invest in them and seek to give them the tools to excel. Amazing service and attention to detail all around from the front of the house, to the kitchen and the wait staff. The bar and wine menu are very well rounded, yet grounded. No wild drinks here, but every classic you could desire, made well with attention. The wine list is a great mix of local and exotic and the staff know what to effectively pair with the menu (that can be hard to do with this menu). As for the food. This is not a menu that aims to be too avant-garde. All the dishes respect their origins and only vary due to the house's aim to use local and fresh ingredients wherever possible. That means what you get is going to be palatable and hopefully delightful to everyone. There is sufficient variety to appease any desire. That said, when in doubt go for the mussels or the lamb tajine (if it isn't sold out! which happens nightly it's that good) and the house bread. Small plates, or large they will delight you and leave you content at the end of the evening. Reservations are STRONGLY recommended as they go from empty to full and stay that way for a long ways into the evening.

The waitress came checking too frequently and constantly interrupt the conversation I had with my friend. They took my dish away really quickly which I haven't even completely finished, but I got too annoyed with them kept coming to my table so I just asked the waitress to take my plate away. Mussels were good, foie gars was fair...wasn't worth the extra $8.

I was there for the dine out. My favourite dish is the cauliflower bbq duck confit soup. The soup was simply amazing! It had lots of duck meat in a very creamy soup. The coconut cream mussels was great, as usual. My only comment is the artic char was a bit underwhelming. I found it a tiny bit fishy. The cheesecake was light and delicious.

A vibrant obvious hotspot for brunch. Homemade waffles for the middle of the table, perfect for sharing! And my personal favorite, Westcoast Salmon Benny. Brick with contemporary decor & not to be missed, the hand blown glass enormous chandelier! The service was prompt & friendly, with a personal visit from the Manager to welcome us for our first visit. The only issue was the volume of the music, abit loud for conversation. Other than that, we'll be back!

Chamber has been around over a decade, but has recently redefined itself with a brand spankin new location, three doors up from their old one. I remember watching the making of Chamber on the food channels "Opening soon". I also believe it is one of the only restaurants to have not only still been in business 10 years later, but also be a smashing success. This restaurant with its warm wood tones, cascading light and rich smells of succulent ingredients is always a welcoming site. The menu is very european, using only the freshest ingredients and presented with an unusual twist like a cast iron skillet or an exquisite platter. Fresh juices, incredible coffee's and a wine list that would kick any sommelier to sit up and take notice. A very happening, always busy, yet good for a romantic dinner for two, this place has it all. Not cheap, but when you leave the table as satisfied as I have numerous times, you never regret the money spent. ALWAYS make a reservation, it saves the HOUR wait at the door!

I was at Chambar during Dineout Vancouver and I knew this restaurant will be very busy. The staff were still very curtious and friendly which is not easy when dinner service is at its peak. We were seated within 5 minutes. We were given ample time to review the menu before ordering - not rushed at all and not left wondering if we had a server - just right. I was very appreciative that they needed the table at a certain time for the next table but gave us an extra 30 minutes.

This place would've been better at the beginning of service or at the end. Too noisy and too many groups. Would be nice to have one area with smaller tables for 2 - 4 people only.

We made a brunch reservation for Chambar, and we were excited to check out their new spot. They seem to have kept the brunch menu that they once offered at Medina, which is exciting because now you can get the same delicious brunch without waiting for an hour outside. The only drawbacks were (1) our weird server who left halfway through our meal and (2) a lot of crying babies nearby. I think we could avoid the babies in future by requesting to have a quieter table, but the server was something else...she didn't seem to know the menu well, so she couldn't describe the feature or answer any questions we had. Before our meals arrived however, she was nowhere to be found. I'm not sure if her shift ended, but we had a new server who didn't come to check on us, he just kept looking at us from afar. I was a server for years, and if I were to hand over a table, I would introduce the guests to their new server. We were a pretty low maintenance table so it was an off-putting experience. We'll probably go back to Medina for brunches and stick with Chambar for evenings.

Loved the food, ambience, music, service, sommelier... It was a terrific menu for Dine Out and good value. The sommelier was passionate and very knowledgeable - chose something perfect for us. The service was amazing! There were a couple of things that I feel I should mention. First, the evening was chilly so every time the front door opened it blasted cold air in the restaurant (we weren't sitting close to the door either). The other thing is the height of the couches along the window. I loved the seating but it was a bit too low for the table (and I'm tall). I felt like I needed a telephone book (now I'm showing my age). Other than that, it was a completely wonderful experience and we'll be back!

It was a Friday night, Canucks game night, so parking was tough. We decided to use the valet; reasonable price and great service from the two guys. Our table was ready when we arrived, so we were sat immediately. Our server was great; friendly & knowledgeable. 1st course- I had the scallops and my girlfriend had the soup. The scallops were cooked perfectly, but I wasn't a huge fan of the puree and sauce. The soup was delicious. 2nd course- i had the Arctic Char and she had the pork trio. Neither of us were overly impressed with our entrees. Nothing wrong per se, just not memorable. Dessert- WOW!! This was the standout. I had the hazelnut chocolate mousse and she had the cheesecake. Both were absolutely delectable. Definitely will be back.

Had been to Chambar in its former location and preferred the ambiance there. The food is just as good I think but the noise level was so high we could not talk without both leaning across the table at the same time. This was at 5:30 so not even the height of bar time. It was during Dine Out so maybe that made a difference. We understand their brunch is very good so will go back and try that. Server was very good.

I found the restaurant to be beautiful and the atmosphere buzzing. The service was good minus a small hiccup near the end of the meal. My boyfriend had very good luck with his menu item choices during Dine Out but I on the other hand, felt like I drew the short straw with my choices. The scallop starter looked beautiful but tasted bland. The featured Pork Trio was underwhelming, small and luke-warm/cold when I had it. The pork loin was nice but the pulled-pork croquette was nothing special and the sausage was average. My boyfriend has a delicious soup starter and a lovely plate of mussels. The dessert was average, nothing very exciting. I felt that the quality of the food did not match the price that the restaurant was charging for Dine Out. I felt underwhelmed given all the good reviews I had heard about this restaurant. I certainly am not rushing back anytime soon.

There are so many restaurants in Van but Chambar remains the best for all occasions at all times. Every year Chambar puts on its best game for Dineout, this year the goat cheese cheesecake was just mind blowing. Mussels are great as always, even if you don't like seafood, Chambar is amazing in every single way.

Chambar is exactly what it claims to be; a casual fine dining experience. The interior decorating and ambiance is very stylish and comfortable. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable in a beautiful setting with great service and amazing food as opposed to other fine dining restaurants where I've felt like I didn't belong if I wasn't wearing a dress and heels, here you can dress up or dress down, go with friends, a group, or impress a date. I'm a fan!

I hadn't been to Chambar since their renovation so I was excited to finally pay a visit. I really liked the new layout of the restaurant -- very modern and spacious. Our server was very kind and attentive all night so we appreciated that too. But it was really the food that I came for and just as I expected, it did not disappoint. We went during Dineout, so I ordered the Salad D'Hiver, Trio de Porc, and La Barre de Chocolate. Every course was superb and the presentation of each dish was impressive. I usually get the Moules Frites, but I decided to change it up, and I'm glad I did. The meat trio entree was delicious. Will most definitely be back soon. Chambar is still in my top 3 in Vancouver. Highly recommended.

We have dined at Chambar many times before but this is out first time at Chambar on a Dine Out and in their new location. As appetizers, I had the scallop dish which had 3 medium sized scallops along some with some green puree of some sort and topped with a brittle crunchy flat bread like cracker which was very tasty. My friend had the kale salad and she said it was very tasty as well. For our mains, we both had the trio of pork…2 pulled pork croquettes, 2 thin slices of sausages, a small piece of pork tenderloin but very well seasoned. As veggies, there were a few brussel sprouts, one small wedge of beets, and some thin radish slices along with some frisee lettuce. Presentation was impressive along with the taste of the food. For dessert, i had the chocolate hazelnut mousse/cream bar with 3 or so freshly roasted hazelnuts. The chocolate mousse was covered with a chocolate shell that was very good, but the very best tasting part of the dessert for me was the bottom crust of the bar because it was mostly crushed hazelnut mixture. Our other friend opted for the goat cheese cake and it looked very elegant with a piece of clear sugar lace on top. We were given a $10 dining dollars to return to Chambar for lunch or brunch and it doesn't expire until Jan, 2016. We will try it out for sure because it looks like their new location now will have outdoor patio dining which will be great in the summer.

My fiancé and I decided to celebrate our engagement between just the two of us at Chambar, and it pleasantly collided with Dine Out so we thought why not? Once again Chambar proved why it was my all time favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Absolutely amazing food, ambience, and service. The only set-back that I've always felt at a slightly higher end restaurant was that the portions was way too small for anyone that can eat more than a burger and fries for themselves. As a woman the portion was just right but my fiance had a hard time not needing a burger once we left. I noticed as I left the restaurant that a lot of men had ordered the ternderloin, one of the 4 options on the entrée list, and was given a piece that would take exactly 3 bites to finish, while most women would order the mussels.

Arrived for our reservation at 7pm sharp. Was told that the previous table was running behind. Waited for almost 20 minutes before we were finally seated. Dine out menu was tasty. I had the scallops, Artic char, and the chocolate desert. Was disappointed that my lavender latte came out freezing cold. Service was good otherwise. I think the restaurant offered a certain charm when it was smaller and more intimate. The food quality is good but not as good as it was before the move. Will try it again one more time when they are not offering the dine out menu.

The staff were very professional and friendly despite the craziness behind the scenes. The food was very tasty. We had scallops and salad for appy. Entree was the Vin Blanc mussels and Arctic char. Dessert was chocolate mousse bar and cheesecake. It sounds simple and plain here but believe me, your mouth will enjoy every bite of the chef's creation.

Didn't feel pressured by the other guests who were in suits/dresses, etc. Service was great! She was attentive and always smiling. In regards to the food, I got the scallops for the appetizer, mussels congolaise for the entree and the hazelnut bar for dessert. No complaints about the food except that I want some more. Everything was executed perfectly and presented beautifully. Will definitely recommend this place to my friends/colleagues.
