This is a very good spot to stop for lunch within the Copley Place. The service is excellent, and I had one of the tastiest burgers I've had in a long time (accompanied by very tasty hand-made chips). And the price is right!

Hostess was very friendly and seating was prompt. No ambiance. Low noise level -- restaurant fairly empty -- early for lunch crowd. Food was below mediocre: both ordered burger, very greasy. Bacon must have been cooked the day before because cold. Bun was good. And fries were cold and unseasoned. Servings were large. Server was polite, came back several times, water was frequently refilled.

I return to Champions because the food is consistently good. This last visit was for New Year brunch with 2 team members from work. Our server never checked on us. And then when she put check down, stopped by quickly to check on check. We felt rushed. The restaurant wasn’t busy at time. So, we don’t know what the rush was. All in all I probably will return as it is a nice casual sports bar scene and food is good. But be warned service is hit or miss. It is always epithet good or non existent.

4th of July- The evening started well since there weren't many people here. However, our server, Craig, soon got overwhelmed. Our quesadilla came out after everyone finished their meals. The bill was supposed to be separated, but wasn't. So, that took more time to settle. We really enjoyed the chowder, onion soup, and mocha beer. Unfortunately, we were visiting from Maryland for the teachers' convention, so we don't know if this was typical for Champions.

The food is always great but the last few visits the service has been horrible. Took 10 minutes for the waitress to come to our table and we had to hunt her down to get our check and boxes for our food. She disappeared.

I was not happy that they wouldn't let us order breakfast off the menu. They only had the breakfast buffet available at 11:30. However it was not clear on open table or Yelp that there was a cutoff time for ordering off the menu and by the time we got there it was too late for us to look for a different breakfast restaurant so we stayed but it was very disappointing because I was very excited about trying their crunchy French toast.

We made a reservation for 6. We were never informed that an 18% autograt would be added to the bill. We went in to watch the NBA Finals but where we were seated we couldn't really hear the broadcast feed. We were in one of the back rooms as opposed to the main room. While we had a large screen TV right at our table, it would have been nice to also hear the commentary. The food was good. Lots of choices. We had appetizers and dinner and I have no complaints on temperature or taste of the food. Once the place filled up for the basketball game service was painfully slow. We had to flag down our waitress to order each time. At the end, we wanted the bill split in 2. This seemed to be an issue. I'm not certain exactly what it was but the waitress did mention it had to do with the 18% autograt. Overall I would return if I was in a smaller group and not to watch a major sporting event.

Champions is inside the Back Bay Marriott where we were staying. We ate dinner there on evening and enjoyed drinks and lighter food another evening. The food and service was quite good and if good value as far as the price goes.

The pictures online were very deceiving. I was expecting it to be an exciting and bigger than life sports bar like I saw on the pictures of the bar on the website. When I got their I had to do a double take to make sure it was the restaurant I saw online. It's a sports bar in the lobby of a commercial hotel, nothing more nothing less.

We were in an out in 30 minutes and that included appetizers. They cater to people coming for bar food, but if you are there for dinner, give us a moment between appetizer and dinner. The food was just ok. My burger was ordered med/well and it was quite rare. Nothing to write home about.

I would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Marriott for giving us a quiet table for our customer meeting during a major convention. They remembered my special request and were very attentive. Great drinks and atmosphere. Even though it is a bar scene, there are quiet corners for business meetings. Much appreciated.

Waitress was great! TV and sports ambiance was great! Food was sub par. The wings were not good and the shrimp lettuce wrap was mediocre at best. Cheap beer which was nice, good choices of 16oz or 24oz. Definitely would go back for another sports game but maybe just for drinks.

We were hotel guests in town during the NCAA finals. It was a great place to enjoy the game--lots of screens and essentially, our own private screen at our table. It felt a little like sitting in your own living room yet also with the 'vibe' of others watching. The place was pretty full yet not at all noisy or loud, just 'vibrant'. Terrific taps and other drinks. Lots of food options. The service was particularly good and they didn't mind that we mostly wanted to watch and drink rather than order a lot of food.... Thanks for making our viewing experience enjoyable.

Perfect when you don't want to even walk a block on a freezing cold night. Grabbed something quick for dinner before heading to a comedy show. We were short on time but it wasnt even an issue. Service was fast and we were full in a hurry. Came back after the show for more drinks and late night apps at the bar.

As a sports bar in a hotel (the Marriott Copley Square) the atmosphere as good and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I go the warm pretzels with Sam Adams Cheese sauce and it was excellent. The burgers, wings and hotdogs are also great. Only negative is that the beer and alcoholic drinks are pricey.

OK time. Food was perfect for lunch, and staff was friendly. However, took 15+ minutes to get a refill yet server came right up to us after food was dropped to ask how our food was without giving us a chance to actually take a bite. Need to work on timing, but definitely worth a return trip.

Our waitress was pretty good. The place although not terribly busy, was catering to very excited Red Sox crew and she was right on the ball with everyone. She made sure to give us personalized attention and was able to recommend some of her beer selections. The food is typical pub food with a little something extra. The calamari were tender but extremely salty so based on other diners experience with these, I would avoid them. The jumbo hot dog was pretty good and so were the fries. Great beers served in wonderfully chilled glasses! Giant tv screens played various games but were not so overwhelming to annoy the diners who weren't intersted. Nice place in the heart of Boston.

Decent food overall, the Asian tuna nachos are unique and great. A really good place if you want to catch a game on TV, any game, with lots of flat screens, on huge TV for any Boston game, generally good seats, and a very new place. Other than those things, its OK.
