Butternut squash Soup was brown and lumpy, tasted like masala and curry was added.salmon was raw throughout.

Feb 2,2020 went for Dine Out. Table reservation for 3. Shoved in back of restaurant and cold air coming thru door. Menu options lamb, ribs, steak or salmon. Two chose ribs 1 steak which was to be medium. Salads and soup came first all good. Shortly after our entrees. Ribs lathered in BBQ sauce, gross and we’re a very poor quality of ribs, tasteless. The steak was overcooked not medium although was better than ribs. Lots of potatoes and vegies on the plate but generic no thought process or presentation. No bread given either. Anyway during dinner Superbowel was on very loud. A large family I’m thinking owners family seated beside us. Their kids were running all around, parents did nothing. Cook it manager even came out of kitchen to talk to his kid to settle him down. Throughout our dinner several family members went in and out of kitchen, even kids. That shouldn’t be allowed!!!!’ Dessert was the best cheesecake with blueberry compote although can guarantee they didn’t make it in house! Would never go back!!!!! Dine out menu is served to impress you, this was a joke. Very disappointing! Don’t waste your time
The bar was close by and quite noisy. Mixed salad was good. Salmon smelled fishy as the plate was placed in front of me. Cheesecake was not fresh. Service was okay.

Went to Dine out Vancouver 2020, restaurant not as advertised. Atmosphere and decor was like a budget family restaurant. Steaks were tough, grisly and flat ironed (1/2 inch thick). Service as almost too good. We had to ask the server to slow down as the plates were piling up and we had not finished the courses yet. Felt like we were being rushed to free up table for next guest

Food was decent. Waiter didn’t come around often enough.
Hi :) Thank you for dinning with us, and taking the time to review us. We are normally known for great food and service. We apologize for missing the mark. I have provided your feedback to the Owner and assure you we are taking action to prevent this from happening in future.
Started by having to wait a while for a server, when the server arrived she was very good. Felt rushed through the dining process, I had not even finished my appetiser when the dinner was put down on the table, would have preferred to have rested for a few minutes. When the main course was eaten, I requested to have some time before our dessert be served; this was duly noted and time allowed. The Dine Out Vancouver menu provided a choice of 2 appetisers - Salad or Soup both were very good. There were 5 Entree choices all sounded delicious we chose the Lamb Osso Bucco served with Rissoto and mixed vegetables, this we both thought was well presented and tasted great. Dessert choice was Cheesecake or Spanish coffee, again we enjoyed both. Yes, I will return!
Hi Sue :) We are thrilled you enjoyed your Dine Out experience. We would love to serve you again, hopefully soon!
We mistakenly went on a dine out Vancouver event and was seated at a banquet make shift table and was refused a vacant booth - the meal was served while we were still eating our salads
all of our entrées - the steak was cooked nicely but we could not cut the meat due to excessive gristle running through the meat
They also had a private party at the rear of the restaurant which was very noisy so that we could not have a visit we had to leave. Very disappointed in our experience
Hello Juliem, We are normally known for exceptional service. We regret we missed the mark! Please contact the Owner & Executive Chef directly at (604) 782-7258 if you would like to discuss further. We appreciate all feedback.
Unfortunately it was a Xmas party so filled with what looked like a private function. No staff to ask as they we’re all busy with function. Shouldn’t have been able to book a reservation when it’s not catering to public.
Hi there, We are normally known for exceptional service. I am very sorry to hear about your experience. We regret we missed the mark. Please reach out to the owner at (604) 782-7258 if you would like to discuss further.
Restaurant was very busy, and very loud. Service was just OK. Our waitress was very friendly, however follow up re drink refills etc. was not good. Perhaps short staffed. Sound from an adjacent party was very loud, so much so that conversation within our group was almost impossible. Generally always enjoy the restaurant, but not this night.
Hi Ian, We are normally known for exceptional service. We regret we missed the mark on your recent visit. I have forwarded this feedback along to the Manager. Please feel free to reach out to the Owner at (604) 782-7258 if you would like to discuss this further.
Always amazing food and service. Love
It here, we go weekly !
Hey Andrea, Thank you for taking the time to review us and support us :)!
We (8 of us) arrived at the restaurant for breakfast and they said they had no idea about our reservation made through Open Table but was able to seat us right away with no problem. Staff was quite pleasant, food was delicious with large portions, and the prices were quite reasonable. I would go again.
Service was fast, almost too much so. We had the Dine out special, appies okay, and came out quickly, but we were barely finished and then our mains arrived. Side dishes nice and hot, which is a rare surprise. My streak was perfectly cooked medium rare, but lacked a bit of flavour.
This restaurant does NOT live up to it's 4* reviews. The service was atrocious; they were extremely busy and very under staffed, we sat at our table for 15 minutes before anyone even came to take our drink order (we still weren't offered water without asking).
We ordered appetizers, 1/2 of which were not received and thus asked to be removed from the bill.
The sangria we ordered (a pitcher) was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like watered down wine, lacking any sort of actual Sangria flavor. We sent it back, a new pitcher was delivered, which was just as disgusting as the first.
The foot was mediocre at best; the pasta sauce tasted like it was mushroom soup from a can, the money spent on a shrimp cocktail appetizer ($13) was not worth what was received; 6 mediocre sized shrimp with bottled cocktail sauce.
I will never return. I will not recommend this restaurant, and I will be sure others know this place is not worth the over-priced money you'll pay to eat here.
The service was excellent. We participated in the Dine out Vancouver menu and it was fantastic. The menu has lots to choose from and there is also a vegetarian option offered. The owner came over to our table a couple times to ask if everything with our meals and drinks were okay which was appreciated! We will definitely go back and will spread the word on what a great experience we had. Thank you!
I was here for Dine Out Vancouver. The soup and dessert were delicious. My main course was a disappointment. The garlic mashed was mediocre and my steak was sinewy.
Food wasn’t the best, kind of bland. Service was very slow unfortunately.
Was there for the dine out Vancouver 2019. Food is either super spicy (Jambalaya was not authentic just different) or super saltly (lamb), Squash soup was salty and the Spanish latte was ok. In my opinion it's not worth $35; price way too high for a pub. I wouldn't reconmend this place.
Service was great and the live music was a nice addition for a weekend evening.
Food and service was terrific. Good value for a nice evening out with friends.
Went for mother’s day brunch with a large group. Too many people packed in the restaurant and seating was terrible. Lengthy line up for the buffet and by the time we got to the food, it was getting cold. They did try their best to keep our drinks full and the entertainment was very good. But for the price, did not get value. Waiting over 20 minutes in a line for food once was more than enough. Not sure how the elderly folks with walkers managed. Next year, will go elsewhere.
The Mother's Day Brunch was only ok. The food wasn't bad but I would suggest "Fair" would be an appropriate description. The physical layout of the brunch serving area and the resulting line up for service was poor; not something I care to repeat.
The atmosphere was nice, not too crowded. The food was ok. Nothing special. Everything kind of tasted the same. Overly seasoned. I had the surf and turf. The prawns were pretty good but the steak was way over seasoned and didn’t really taste like steak due to that. The veggies were cold. I had blueberry cheesecake for dessert and I have had better. All in all it was ok. But I don’t think I’ll go back.
My husband and I went for the Dine-out menu. The selections were very good and it came with a cocktail or a glass of house wine, which was a nice addition. For a starter I had a salad that had beets and my husband had the tomato basil soup. We both had the ribs and two different desserts which we shared. Our whole meal was excellent! The menu included wine pairings which I tried and liked very much. They had live music which we enjoyed as well. We liked it so much we're going back for Valentines day!
Our reservation wasn’t noted, even after calling twice. Not that it mattered as it was a “seat yourself” situation.
The seats themselves have been better days, stretched into ribbons, held together with threads and dreams of better days.
$40 Dine Out menu was wildly overpriced for the venue, so we ordered our dinners off the regular menu. Mediocre at best.
However, our server was amazingly attentive and kept the wine flowing which made the entire evening manageable.
Really enjoyed our evening. Even did a little dancing. Look the live music. More places need to do that.
Such nice people who work here, and great food too!
The food was good but waiting 50 minutes to have our food was not acceptable. We had young children with us which made the wait seem even longer. Meals were not all brought out at the same time.
I had their lasagne, it was like Betty Crockers Hamberger Helper. I could have made that myself. What I was looking for was traditional lasagne.
If you are looking for a place to dine on a Friday night but don't have reservations in Cloverdale or Langley and don't want to wait for a table, then this is the perfect place. We made reservations but didn't need them as there were a lot of places to sit. They had some dinner specials but we didn't try them. I had the steak salad however after smelling the lasagna special coming out, I wish I had reconsidered. At 7'ish a gentleman started playing guitar and singing however I felt we were the only 2 listening, a shame really, as he was good.
Surprise good place for a great dinner night.
Just to advise you I was really looking forward to hanging out with my friends for a dine out experience however when we got our table we were told the dine out didn't start after 2:00 pm on Sunday when we made reservations at 11:00am thru open table, if that was the case we would have gone somewhere else, the service was slow and no one came by to see if we needed anything else. I wouldn't go there again. Thank you and have a nice day.
Tried a new restaurant for DINE OUT and was very impressed with the food & service
It was very busy but were served quickly
My only complaint was it was very noisy but then there was a bar just off the restaurant with a guitar player and would have been nice to sit for awhile and listen
Terrific service. Friendly servers. Fabulous appys. Owner chatted with hi ensure. All was good. Love this place.
The regular menu is also yummy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at your restaurant, the food & service were excellent. We'll definitely be back.
right off, having CNN on in a restaurant dining experience is NOT recommended. Really, Trump tickers on going throughout the meal? Our Osso Buco was drenched in sauce...way too much. It made the whole dish taste the same. The dessert of Crème brule was ice cold. All of us that ordered it were surprised it did not come hot. The restaurant was dead, so no reason to not make such a simple dish on demand. Would not go back.
I did the reservation last Sunday for Dine Out Festivities and I was successful to book our lunch at 11 am. We really wanted the 1 pm to 2 pm time but the online reservation was just giving us only the 10:30, 10:45 and 11 am. Dine Out Vancouver does not include Sunday, lol.
To our surprise, when we get there at 11 am, the place was almost empty, nobody was welcoming us at the front desk. I was even told that I didn't a reservation on their list. I showed them my email confirmation of my reservation.
It's just we don't want to leave the place and look for another better restaurant, we just tried to enjoy our lunch as much as we could.
Great food. Friendly staff
My group of friends and I went there for new years eve. The services was a bit slow and there were a few errors when ordering food and drinks.
The food menu was okay, but would like to see more of appy options and more food choices as well.
However, The services was able to provide us paper and pen when i requested upon through open table reservation. that was one of the positive about the services.
My partner and I decided to visit an old haunt with a new name and new ownership. As it was Christmas Eve I understand they were short staffed in a few areas. We waited for somebody to acknowledge us when we arrived and had to wait to be shown to our table. No menus were given and we probably waited 8-10 minutes before we hailed down a server to get drinks. It's not that they weren't around, they were...just not looking at our table. The drinks came and we ordered an appetizer of steak bites which were delicious! My partner ordered the lamb shoulder and I had prawn vindaloo. The lamb was cool and they brought chicken vindaloo for me. The lamb was sent back and I received the prawn dish, my rice was cool but I ate it anyway because the vindaloo was hot. So of course, I was half finished when the new lamb dish came out. Apparently it tasted delicious and was nice and hot. The server explained it was substitute staff in the kitchen because of it being Christmas Eve and that was why our meals weren't up to their usual excellence.
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll return. Yes, apologies were made for the meal but the service was severely lacking. It was not busy in the restaurant yet we were made to wait to be taken to a table, menus weren't presented upon seating and waited for drink orders, etc.
I read the reviews before I booked and was looking forward to a nice evening but sadly it was not to be.
I love their pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. You can talk about food with knowledgeable people.
Will come again.
