If you like seafood this is a great option. We went for my wife's birthday and they brought out a nice desert with a candle. We were also given complimentary glasses of desert wine. I would definitely visit again.

There is not much more that can be said after Chiado has been in business (and praised) for over 30 years. However, to add one small voice to the chorus, I think you would be hard-pressed to find any better food and service in Toronto. It was a truly superlative experience.

My first time here. We were celebrating our anniversary. We were here for summerlicious 2023 lunch menu so it was really a treat since normally it’s a pricey restaurant. The food was very good and did not disappoint but the food service was very slow; I’ve taken one star off for the slow service. Tables that came after us had their meals before us. But it did allow my party of four to talk and linger and drink longer than we had anticipated. Overall a very nice afternoon.

Albino and his team are friendly, efficient and grateful hosts. The kitchen is top notch and turn out some of the best meals you’ll ever eat. Although I’m not a resident of Toronto, it the first restaurant I want to go to. Also, although not the microwave inexpensive mean you eat, it will be a best meal.

The fish dishes are consistently outstanding visit after visit. This dinner we had sea perch and cherne. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sea perch was out of this world. There was also an order of capon which was moist and tasty. All the meals come with sides of vegetables and potatoes. So nice to get a decent amount of vegetable. We had the waiter select a bottle of wine to go with meals and his choice was perfection. Service was very good. Highly recommended.

This is the only restaurant which never disappoints me in terms of quality of ingredients and service. The ingredients are always fresh and the presentation of the meal is beautiful. I am a long standing customer for this restaurant. The high quality of taste and service always brings me back to enjoy the food every now and then. I highly recommend it

Beautiful restaurant, aesthetically warm and welcoming . The staff are excellent , and the food is superb. The only problem is that one of our main courses was almost inedible. The risotto that accompanied it was delicious but the Skate was seasoned or accompanied by a sauce that wasn’t enjoyable. The other mains of Monkfish were sublime and both the starters and desserts were equally delicious. Definitely one to put on your special occasions list.

This was our 2nd visit to Chiado but first since the pandemic started. They appear to have expanded. We found the back room quiet but we were also dining early so there were few other guests till midway through the meal. We preferred the more compact space of the front area. Food was very good though our main course could have been a bit hotter. (We all had the same). The meal was quite expensive for 3 people (nearly $400 without tip) with no alcohol consumed though we did have 3 courses each and the main course was probably the most expensive on the menu. Staff were courteous and attentive. The birthday candle on the cheesecake for our son was a nice touch.

Absolutely amazing! For appetizers we had the sardines, clams, squid & goat cheese—which was my favourite. Mains, the cod & lamb. For dessert, the cheesecake, nato & crème brule. Everything was on point. The staff were excellent. I was a little worried, as I always am with anywhere I go as a Black woman, of how I’ll be received & yes there is plenty of cause to worry about. But that quickly waned with each server that provided us service. The good is fresh, simple & delicious.

This lovely little place on college street is a constant go-to happy maker. It is upscale without being pretentious. The atmosphere is calming but still energetic. The hardest decision is what NOT to get. I've been a few times and the food and service has always been amazing. Inventive menu without straying from the simplicity of good ingredients. I got the octopus as a main and I've never been the same since! tender, delicious, well charred. It was so inviting that I forgot to take a picture for this review so ... just trust me! We also had the "dry soup" something I wasn't familiar with but something I will never ever forget! chunks of seafood ( lobster, clam, monkfish and friends) in a delicious herbaceous broth with bread ( in the broth) ... the idea is that the bread soaks up the delicious sauce. Heaven. Great place . you can't go wrong here

It’s my third time. I was impressed the first two visits. There were 4 minutes from the time our cocktails were served to the time the appetizers arrived. So I let my appetizer sit on the table until I finished my Manhattan..15 minutes. Bad! Shortly after dessert, bill arrived so fast. I felt like we were rushed in spite of it not busy. It was a Thursday evening dinner
