Chiado is just excellent. As usual

We went there for our anniversary because we love Portuguese and because the reviews were outstanding. Our expectations were high but we were a bit underwhelmed. The food was good and the cocktails were great, but we were expecting everything to be great.

First time there, I really enjoyed the dishes that I had. The fish was fresh and delicious. Service too was fantastic. I highly recommend it.

I loved the experience at this gem of a restaurant. The minute I arrived I felt relaxed and taken care of. The food was delicious. Absolutely wonderful in fact. We ordered the salmon and the steak. I must add that the steak was absolutely outstanding. Soft and tasty. The wine was great! All in all a truly lovely evening. Such a reprieve from the rushed day to day hustle. Thank you.

The service was outstanding - we visited during winterlicious. The host and waiter were very friendly. We had the squid and beet appetizer, the cod and mushroom gnocchi mains and the white chocolate citrus and choc. cherry tart dessert. The cod and gnocchi were outstanding.

Had an amazing meal at Chiado during Winterlicious. Service was spectacular and they even gave us glasses of Duoro port wine to celebrate our anniversary. The squid and lamb were standout dishes and were very tender.

Forgot about my wife’s berry allergy after discussing 3 minutes prior and brought a dish with a berry sauce. Server inattentive over the course of the night.

Host was great and acknowledged that we listed my wife has a berry allergy. This just fell through the cracks with remainder of staff

We have been to Chiado many times and have always enjoyed the food. Chiado is certainly one of the best restaurants in Toronto. Service is impeccable and their wine selection focuses on Portuguese wines.

Chiado offers every traditional customer service - reserved and professional. They do not overly hype up customers, rather stay professional being attentive, at the same time giving customers their space. Their food was amazing although it was winterlicious. Lots of restaurants’ qualities degrade for winterliciois but Chiado was not disappointing at all - in fact made me want to come back for their regular dinner.

The service was outstanding. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating to my wife and I with our four month old son. The food was good while the overall experience was excellent.

Celebrated our 46 Wedding Anniversary.
We were seated in the second dining room which was somewhat quieter. The service was excellent. The food presentation was beautiful. We enjoyed the beat salad and scallop starters. The salmon and gnocchi and desserts.
Everything was delicious.
We had a wonderful evening.
Only regret was I would have liked to try the cod fish but they had sold out.
We will definitely return.
