    Went before the Chicks concert and it was packed busy but the service didn’t disappoint, food and drinks came out super fast and everything was delicious! Would absolutely recommend before a game or a show. Great job team!

    Food came out later than expected for a restaurant that wasn't very full at the time. Not ideal for a quick bite prior to returning to the office. Other than that, the food and service were great.

    We visited the Chop Steakhouse and Bar in Downtown Edmonton to enjoy a good meal with family visiting Edmonton for the first time. The ambience for us, as an older party, was quiet and unobtrusive as the restaurant was not that busy at the time of our visit. The service was excellent with a polite your waiter who was happy to attend to our requirements. My only comment would be that the steak was a little under cooked for my personal liking although our waiter did offer to take it back to the kitchen for additional cooking time. Overall a good experience and a restaurant I'd happily visit in the future.

    We were a little early for our reservation, but they were able to seat us right away. The food came quickly (almost too quickly, felt a little rushed) but it was delicious! I had the avocado bowl and the portion was huge, definitely enough to have leftovers for take home. Our Waitress Sadia was wonderful, attentive and personable. P.S the pink lemonade cocktail is a A++ 😊

    Food was well done, however we were very disappointed with the seating placement, especially for how early we were there before a downtown event. With plenty of open tables in the main area, we were seated up on the second floor, secluded in a back corner, not even in one of the booths, with a horrible atmosphere, and even worse for wear seating (chairs) that we had to swap out. After picking chop for a nice atmosphere before a hockey game, this certainly makes us hesitant so ever do so again, experience continues to be mediocre.

    We had great happy hour appies and delicious drinks. Our server Lindy was very sweet and knowledgeable with a really fun sense of humour. Enjoyed the evening. Thank you Chop!

    We had a great meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful finding us a quiet table that would be comfortable for my elderly parents and assisting us to access it by elevator. The building doorman was also very kind and helpful on our arrival and departure.

    Our waitress was awesome but she was really busy so took 10 min to even get water. Another 15 for wine - which they did comp which was nice. Once we got through all this - it was great.

    Chop has always been a go to place for me for a fantastic steak. However, I’m sorry to say that the quality went down hill. The 14 oz prime rib steak was dry and the vegetables were undercooked. My friend ordered a 9oz prime rib and asked for medium rare, but the steak came over cooked. We asked for an improvement, the steak came back with the same done-ness. We were told that there’s nothing more they can do. As a steak restaurant, it couldn’t even get its steak right. Not just that, the restaurant didn’t even offer the downtown dining week menu upfront. We saw that other tables were purposefully given the regular menu, even though a dining week menu is still available. The waitress only reluctantly offered the menu when we asked about it. The restaurant obviously wasn’t interested in the event. I’m sorry to say that I can’t recommend this restaurant anymore to my friends and family. My friends and I were very disappointed.

    Come here for the Edmonton dining week. Service was good and food was great. However, they don’t take the promo dining week gift card which is a big bummer. I suggest they mention they don’t take the promo gift card somewhere so people know about it.

    We were celebrating a birthday, before the oilers game. Our waitress was exceptional. She was constant with the drink refills, and checking in to make sure our food was up to their standards. Once noticed my steak was undercooked, she offered to take care of a round of drinks, which was not necessary but extremely appreciative. Super friendly, and knowledgeable with both the menu and drinks! We’ll definitely be back!

    We chose the restaurant for its location and reputation for a good steak. We also like the atmosphere that is casual but still feels like a good night out to celebrate a special occasion (two birthdays). Overall, we enjoyed our food and we had good company at the table. However the service for the “special occasion” was less than expected especially since we fill out the reservation beforehand that we were celebrating birthdays. Had to let them know we were celebrating otherwise I’m not sure the server would have known. We also had to ask multiple times about the downtown dining week info as we are from out of town and wanted to know more. Seemed as though they didn’t want to give us the info. Overall we would likely go back because the food and atmosphere were great but we left thinking it wasn’t great service for what we had expected.

    Coming to Chop for Downtown dining week is a great deal as their 3 course meal is plenty to eat without feeling "too full" afterwards. Dessert is "just enough" of a sweet treat to cap off the night. The only thing that wasn't as great as we hoped was the gravy, which was fairly bland and not the delicious compliment to the prime rib that I expected. The server was lovely and we will come back again.

    Food is just meh steak not great service was slow because the server was doing everything bussing tables delivering food getting drinks way too much to do to keep 6 tables taken care of. Not inexpensive but average.

    Absolutely delicious! Everything from the caesar salad, main course and dessert were great. The chicken was tender, rice pilaf cooked perfectly along with the green beans and squash. So yummmy! Highly recommend this hidden gem in downtown Edmonton.

    We had reservations but they didn’t ask upon entry so they seated us in the bar. We didn’t realize that the restaurant was upstairs. I mentioned the reservation but it didn’t seem to register. So we ended up eating downstairs. Aside from this confusion, the server was very nice and the food was very good!

    Went here for my birthday, the place is nice but they need bigger TV’s and maybe not have 4 massive fire places. Viewing of the game is pretty bad unless you’re sitting by the bar. The food was okay, nothing special though. The service was really good! But I won’t be coming back.
