Beautiful restaurant, love the design and decor. Always have very good service. Their steaks are fantastic! Be a bit weary ordering anything that isn’t a cut of beef. Steak is definitely their specialty, and they do it well.

It was a 1st Date. It was great that she’s a Hockey Fan. The TV levels came way up when the game started. We liked our server too much to ask to be moved the the dining room. Next time - I’ll check the oilers schedule before I book where I want to sit.

Over the years that I have been going to Chop Steakhouse, I have noticed a decline in the quality of food and some of its staple menu items. I was a BIG fan of the Chop Salad, but after several "revamps" on the actual salad, its now not good at all. Used to be a nice big Chopped salad. Now its a tossed salad version with far less flair. The steaks are consistent, however the accompaniments have also gone down in quality and are generally "held" too long and not as fresh.

Our dinner was delicious, steaks were perfect, escargot was a bit heavy on the garlic, this coming from a garlic lover... Crab cakes were delicious, mashed potatoes were good, pilaf rice left something to be desired, very heavy on the thyme/rosemary. Lobster was delicious!

I do have to mention that there was another new menu and the prices have go up again for at least the second time in the past 6 months . That being said the overall value is still not to bad !! The Chop is a family favorite for special occasions. The quality and service never disappoint and tonight was no different! It was my husband's birthday and everything was perfect. The food was terrific, Francesca was attentive, our drinks were never empty, and we had a great time. We were well taken care of and thoroughly enjoyed our evening! Thanks so much for everything.

We visit the Ellerslie Chop every few weeks and always enjoy our food. With rising costs everywhere, Chop still offers fair prices and good portions - for very tasty food. The steak bites and wedge salad are my go-to and my husband likes the Chop burger. Our server, Stephanie was really friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great night out.

Enjoyed our meals very much. Meats were tender and tasty. Squash and beans were a nice vegetable side however would have preferred the squash had been peeled. Appetizers we had were mushroom and goat cheese dip which was very good and the tempura vegetables, this was good, but could have done without the broccoli stems and asparagus stem with no tips which was not edible as was so stringy. Desserts were great - flourless chocolate torte and pineapple upside down cake. Server was great, very attentive. Disappointing that our anniversary was not recognized (stated on reservation.) The noise level was not enjoyable with having a younger boys sports team across the restaurant from us for a while.

Always enjoy Chop. We are a group of senior ladies and celebrate birthdays together. We do appreciate having our own “private” room to visit, share a meal, always start with those delicious steak bites, and share dessert. Service is always efficient and so friendly.

We went out for my boyfriend’s birthday the food wasn’t very good but the service was great. Our steaks were very fatty and my baked potato was not cooked. We were in a rush once we got our food so could not send back. Expect more for the price we paid.

First time on this location, the front staff seemed bothered with guests showing up and unwelcoming nor did they thank when we left. Shocked by the amount of kids but maybe that’s what you get when you eat out in the suburbs. Food was great, waitress was friendly.
