Advertised a “Mothers day Special” with “surprises for mom along the way” but there was nothing - no surprises, nothing special about it just a regular dinner. When asked, the server said “it’s special because Mom gets to order first and today is all about her” Other than that the food was decent and the server was attentive.

I brought my mom to Chop for Mother's Day. We had a lovely time. We had a very warm reception upon our arrival. Our booth in the bar was perfect. The waitstaff were amazing! So polite, kind and fun!! We were never looking around for our waiter he was excellent and always came at the right time. We both had the Salmon with wine and dessert. It was all amazing. We also got a Mother's Day card signed by all the staff, which was very thoughtful. Thank you very much for helping me make a perfect Mother's Day for my mom!

I had never been here before. My wife had been for business on other occasions so I thought it was time to try it myself. When our steaks came out, there had been an error made on how the steaks were to be cooked. The wrong steak was cooked to medium rare. The steak that was ordered medium rare was overcooked because of the mix up so it was being remade. Instead of remaking the other steak they attempted to bring it up to temperature which was a failure and ultimately that steak had to be redone too. Long story short, there were three of us and we all ate our meal at different times because of the errors and mix up’s. The manager was amazing. He was very apologetic and did everything he could to make it right. There was no charge for the steaks that were made wrong and they offered complimentary dessert for the table as well. The server was very friendly but seemed distracted chatting with her coworkers while drinks sat empty and problems with the steaks sat unresolved. I likely won’t be back. When I’m paying $50 for a steak I expect a certain level of quality and service. My expectations weren’t met here.

The atmosphere was nice and as expected. The service was good, however it seemed to take a long time for the appetizers to come out. I ordered some bread because we were very hungry & didn't want to drink alcohol on an empty stomach. It came at the same time as the crabcakes. I would not of ordered it if I had of known they would be served at same time. The filet mignon steak was nothing special. I have cooked better ones a home. But overall it was good.

This was our first experience at Chop. We were unable to get into any restaurant downtown close to an event we were attending. Chop had availability and we were instantly impressed when we walked in. Greeted right away by professional hosts and fell in love with the style and menu of restaurant. Server was amazing, greeted by manager who brought us over a complimentary app in honor of our first time. Steaks were cooked perfectly and meal/menu was overall was refreshing and unique to London. I know this is crazy… but be sure to check out the washrooms… clean and beautiful decorated. We will definitely be back many more times for date night.

First experience at this restaurant and highly recommend it. My husband and I took my mother in law there for her birthday and she loved it. The food was great and the service even better. They made us feel very welcomed treated us to an amazing appetizer. Made my mother in law feel special. They engaged us and genuinely wanted to get to know us while ensuring we had everything we needed for a great experience. We are definitely going back.

The tuna appetizer was spectacular ! Amazing Caesar salad. Great service and setting. Little disappointed in my steak it was over cooked and the mushrooms tasted like vinegar. My husband had no issues with his steak.

A wonderful experience. The service from Jennie was amazing, the highlight of the night. Excellent appetizers (try the steak bites)… followed by great steaks! The location feels like a “local” place rather than part of a chain; makes a big difference. Better that the other steak place K#G… ;)

It was a great experience for us! I loved the atmosphere, service, hospitable - Milo), food is really good! I love Chardonnay from the USA and drink only 1 glass of wine (not the whole bottle). They opened the bottle especially for me. They did not have this option in their menu, but I really wanted. So they did it! A great restaurant sets a high standard for its food quality and ensures that guests receive the same quality with every meal. Thank you so much. I will definitely recommend this place for my friends!!!

Food was excellent! Everyone’s meat was cooked perfectly and the variety of side options were all excellent. Seafood was also delicious. The scallops were incredible. Service was lacking. We had issues with parts of our order being missed and wrong items being sent out. Cocktails were expensive and small. The excellent food out weighed the other issues. Would recommend.

I enjoy Chop and the service is consistently very good and this outing was no exception. We were seated in the room to the left of the door when you walk in and I will avoid it until the future. It was cold with poor acoustics and lighting. It feels like where you stick people that you don’t really like. The mushroom and goat cheese appetizer is very good and the cocktails we ordered were very good. Ordered the pistachio crusted cod which was a disappointment. It’s not crusted but instead an unseasoned small piece of cod with a flop of tasteless pistachio purée on top. The fish was at least cooked properly. The beans and squash is not good. A slab of plain squash and a few pieces of plain green beans. Wholly disappointing and I would recommend it be removed from the menu. I’d still go to this restaurant but avoid the strange room and the cod and you’ll be fine.
