    Great food as always. Our server Roger was fantastic, food was served in a timely manner, he kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. We were celebrating our Anniversary & Roger brought us a sampling of desserts. Thank you Roger and Chop Team.

    A disappointing business dinner. Baked potato wasn’t hot at all. Should have been evident when opened and loaded with all fixings. My ribeye was barely warm. For the price of the entree - vegetable serving was very small and overcooked. Value and quality for the cost not there.

    The food was just ok, which was a surprise. I’ve been here many times and this visit didn’t live up to the previous ones. The service was good and as packed as the place was, the noise level was managable. Mushroom/goat cheese dip: there were raw pieces of garlic that was too overwhelming. Prime rib: the taste was good but most of it was fat. I love a fatty cut of beef but there was more fat than meat.

    We had a new hire and she was great. Her trainer was also great...sorry I'm horrible with names. They made our first not to be our last.

    It was a great dining experience! From the moment we arrived the hostess was pleasant and our server was so friendly and helpful. Food was cooked perfectly. Everyone in our group loved their meal. Definitely will go back.

    Absolutely excellent attentive service. Pretty good value for Toronto. Wine list a little lacking. Quality of food was very good but there could have been additional options on the menu. For example, if you were trying to have a steak with a low-carb side, it really wasn’t easy. If you were willing to go with the old-fashioned, potatoes and rice, you were in great shape. Manhattan I had was weak, but had a fabulously fresh orange zest with it. These guys are just one step away from being excellent.

    Great food, great service. This was my first time frequenting Chop as I’m from out of town where we don’t have one. My friends and I had an excellent experience. We started with cocktails, they’re heavily iced which we all like. For my main I had the New York strip with burnt blue cheese, loved every bite. The Trio for dessert wasn’t your typical baby bite sized portions, it’s definitely shareable but it’s too good to share.

    Sean provided A-class service, and was very knowledgable about all the items on the menu - including recommendations for substitutes. The food was great - my fiancé and I both had the baby back ribs but my fiancé upgraded his side to the lobster Mac&Cheese… I would HIGHLY recommend the combo. We also recently got engaged and Sean surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake… how kind! Thank you for a lovely dinner!

    Prime rib is suppose to be juicy. If it has some fat on it, that would help keep it moist and tasty. It is suppose to be at least 1 inch thick. Mine was so thin it looked like a sole of a shoe. The au jus is suppose to be liquid like, not mixed with ingredients to make it a gravy. The resulting taste was poor. I asked for Medium Well and got very Well done so the meat being so thin was dry. The baked potato, even though it was loaded, had no taste other than the great taste of bacon. The cream, potato and chives were there but you could not taste them. The service was very good but I won't be back.

    Enjoyed a nice meal in the lounge. Chicken avocado bowl was tasty--would be nice if it were served in an actual bowl as the small plate made it a bit difficult to toss (I had dressing on the side). The ribeye steak was flavourful but overcooked (not the medium rare requested). We still enjoyed our meals and Natalie and Kennedy were attentive and friendly.

    We stopped in for Sunday afternoon lunch. My family and I were the first ones there and basically the only people there for quite a while. It was quiet and peaceful. Our server was very good. I would whole-heartedly recommend Chop.

    Let’s be honest Chop is best known for their streaks. There are no surprises for the rib eye and prime rib we ordered they were prepared very well and was delicious. The appetizers (goat cheese and mushrooms dip and mussels) were also delicious and the opinion soup was great. However the crab pasta we ordered seems out of place from the overall experience. Firstly, crab meat in the pasta was minimal, and I actually had to dig and comb to find remnants of the meat. Second of all the spiciness was a bit too much which overpowered everything else. It felt like it was a regular pasta with pasta sauce, a dash of crab meat and a cup of sriracha sauce. Will recommend their steaks and appetizers, but stay away from their pastas.

    Food was not as expected. Smaller portion than usual. Taste was different (guessing a different chef was working). We asked for umbrella for shade on the patio. It took about 15mins and we still didn't get shad. Server was very nice.
