We haven’t been to Chop for a long time and we were looking forward to it tonight. We had a reservation for 5pm and there were two other tables. We waited for about half an hour to get our food, which wasn’t too bad. Our server was good at that time, he came checked on us few times. The Chop burger my husband had was super tasty - definitely one of the best burgers in town! The Crab cakes I had were a bit overcooked but eatable. However, the beef Bao I had was really weird. I thought they would be warm buns but they were cold and dry. The beef was not like normal beef or anything similar, it tasted like undried pork floss. Definitely wouldn’t order it again. We finished our supper just before 6pm and our server came took our plates. Then he just disappeared and didn’t come back until 6:22pm. Then it took another 15 minutes for the cheesecake to come. The waiting time was really long but it wasn’t that busy especially we came for an early supper to avoid the crowds. Not a pleasant experience as we didn’t plan to spend almost two hours for a supper.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was our first time visiting so we were offered a free appetizer that was brought out by the manager along with some pleasant conversation. The food was well presented, well cooked and tasty - miso salmon and seared scallops - and we will be back again.

From the time we arrived at Chop we were greeted with a friendly smile and a welcome. My concern was the large prime rib that was my main course for the evening. This prime rib should have not been served. The problem was over 50% of it was fat. This piece of meat should have been selected as a small prime rib for the meal. I've had many prime rib meals at Chop this meal didn't their standards!!!

Prime rib would have been perfect if it hadn’t been ruined with the faux jus. Watered down gravy is not Au Jus. But everything else was great. Don’t worry. I’ll still come back. It’s a great restaurant.

The place itself is gorgeous. The appetizer was very appealing to our taste buds. The food was tasty. The services they provided were excellent from the beginning until the end. They were very approachable, had very good customer service, and were very kind when taking orders. The food prices were very reasonable. Not too expensive or too cheap. Just perfect. They also gave us an in-house free mini cake for our birthday celebrant. Overall was a great experience. We will for sure go back. We are planning for next month to celebrate another birthday at this place. We had such a wonderful time and experience at chop. I will recommend this place.

Mgr seating not friendly no greeting, New York strip with with Oscar , tough steak bernadaise sour too lemony, veg stated as peppers & green beans (undercooked) & zucchini not peppers. The prime rib was awesome I’m told & filet was also good. Offered a desert first time there which was the trio was good. I’ll stick to the keg, far superior.

We went to Chop on November 12th with some family. I dont usually write reviews but the service we had was above what we expected. Our server was fantastic and helped us pick food and wine. The food was fantastic and the manager treated us like VIPs. We will be making Chop in Regina a regular stop! Thanks for the night.

Great night out. Had the mushroom and goat cheese dip which was fantastic. For dinner, went with the shrimp linguine which was amazing. Add some wine and great friends, can’t ask for a better night out.

We went for an early birthday dinner. Food was awesome and the waitress (Ashley) ensured we had excellent service. We had not been to Chop since the pandemic. It was simply fantastic for our son’s 22nd birthday ! Started with broccolini appetizer (🤤) then our main meals (boys had steak and I had the avocado bowl with shrimp). Everything was delicious ! Paired with a Chilean red wine. Yum. We will be back 😊
