We had a great meal - lovely service.
This was a make-up visit from the lackluster one back in August. The manager invited us back so we stopped in to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was excellent and the food was tasty. We will return again.
We can always rely on Chop to give us a great dining experience. Steaks are done very well and the decor of the dining room is so nice! I always get the prime rib experience, which comes with a salad or soup and two sides. The only thing we did not like was the dessert -- the chocolate souffle was not a souffle! It was a piece of chocolate cake served cold. It tasted good, but it was not what we expected. My husband and I have visited multiple times and will visit again soon.
It was a really great time. ☺️
AJ was an exceptional waiter. His attention to allergy detail was remarkable. He was extremely personable and yet not in your face annoying in any way. I hope he has a happy career in the food industry!
Very nice. The server was great and very informative
Everything is excellent as always. Service are great and food are awesome.
We hit the late night happy hour with $5 drinks and $6 appies. Pricing was good, but the poor waitress was left alone to cover the entire outside patio area on her own. Surprising for a Saturday night. The gin/tonic special drink tasted good, but took 30 mins to get to us. We had the steak bites, veggie tempura, and bourbon BBQ wings. The wings were delicious, and would definitely get them again. But only when on special, and not at the ridiculous regular price. The steak bites were just ok. The dipping sauce for the tempura was not nearly enough for the dish. We had to ask for another. Tempura is all about drowning the item. Overall not horrible, but not amazing either. Just ok. Will likely go elsewhere next time.
Birthday, only issue I had was waiter had big feet, kept on stepping on my mine which were under the table, he did it 5 times.
Food quality and services are way better than on father's day.
Try their happy hour menu, excellent and the portion is not small
My mother had a Caesar Salad Lobster and she’s feeling quite sick after she got home. She’s always been very sensitive to unfresh seafood and we believe the lobster was the cause since I noticed it wasn’t fresh as well but thought it was the seasoning.
It was great, would go there again.
Food and service was all really good.
Great experience and a great server. Perfect night.
We had a poor experience from our servers. We had to always ask for more water. When the entree arrived our appetizer dishes were still on the table and the servers waited for us to clear our dishes so they could pass us our entres. Had to hunt for our server to pay our bill. Food was not amazing for what we paid. Won’t recommend.
Happy hour food was so yummy and the staff were super attentive and nice. Patio ambiance was pleasant.
Shrimp linguine was a bit too salty but French onion soup was good.
The dinner experience was first rate. The food was excellent. The service was wonderful. We had a private room with hearing challenged people some of whom spoke little English. Our server was first rate and very sensitive to our needs. The background noise was turned off and the doors closed to assist with hearing. Would definitely come back, even from across town.
Son’s birthday. Very good service. Food is okay for the price and ambience. Hoping there is more space for happy hour as well so we can frequent the place even more.
Excellent tomato basil linguine! The pink sherbet lemonade mocktail was delicious. Great service and a nice evening overall.
If you want a mean steak without breaking your wallet, I'd recommend this place. This place has been good for me for the most part. I just don't understand why I order the exact same bone in rib eye steak, but the flavor changes? I hope they fix that, so that it's always the same taste no matter how many times I order it!
The food was exquisite. Fine dining and amazing service. Will definitely go back! I had the haddock in a maple bourbon glaze and it was delicious, cooked perfectly.
I am a regular customer of chop, always good food and good service
Poor customer experience. Server is not accommodating. E.g. she said no and cannot be done even just having the kids pasta dish into a full size with added cost. Prime ribs not cooked to order. Asked for cooking a bit more. Server insinuated that it was right per the way we ordered.
Very friendly staff and attentive management / thank you for a great lunch experience!
The receptionist was impolite and rude. Not professional at all. When I ask for a booth for our reservation, she told me there was no 7 people fit for the booth. She shouldn't use such manner to tell customer.
I didn't know that the booth was not big enough for 7 people. She can just tell me the booth cannot fit 7 people.
The service was great but the food was not . The lobster tasted ok but was very unappetizing due to the color which looked nothing like the ads.
We had a lovely experience. Food was great and we had the best service!
The service was spectacular. Of course with all large parties there’s bound to be some hiccups. Our servers and the manager were all very quick to react and this is what I call amazing service.
My boyfriend and I arrived shortly after 3pm on a Friday for happy hour. We entered the lounge side of the restaurant. There were only three tables with diners, nobody at the bar, and no staff to be seen. We stood at the entrance for quite some time. Over 5 minutes. Nobody arrived. So we sat ourselves down. Waited again, this time nearly 10 minutes, and the bartender arrived asking if she could put in our order for drinks and food. I said that would be great, however we havnt received any menus yet. She then left for five plus minutes and returned with menus. She stood there watching us take a look at them. It felt awkward. I looked up, and said thank you for the menus. She said she was waiting for our drink order. My boyfriend and I looked at each other, felt rushed, so we quickly just randomly picked something. She came back with our drinks and then took our order for food. It took nearly 25 minutes to arrive. Again, the lounge was SLOW. No more than 5 tables with only 2 people at each. My boyfriend was satisfied with the taste of his oven roasted chicken but said it was very cold and the fries were soggy. I ordered a few items off the happy hour menu. The bourbon wings were extremely tasty. However, I didn’t understand why they were all skewered on a stick. The presentation was off and they were extremely difficult to take off the skewer. The steak bites were not as expected. It was basically a full steak cut into 4 pieces, undercooked, and put on a sauce that wasn’t complimentary to the steak. Lastly, I ordered the tempura. Tempura is meant to be hot and crunchy. This was cold and soggy. A complete disappointment. Why on earth would you drown the plate in some sort of cream sauce and then place the tempura on top??? You completely ruin the texture, taste, and appearance. Anyways, the waitress/bartender didn’t show up to check on up for over a half hour so I couldn’t send back my items to get them redone. I’ve been to chop numerous times, this may be the last.
My birthday dinner
I would highly recommend my friends and families to come here to dine. Although, one year has passed since the terrible incident involving multiple tables of caucasian individuals expressing their opinions on my crying nephew. Whether it was racism or not I chose to come back and enjoy a dinner at the chop. I appreciate that chop was able to accommodate my request for giving us a private room so that we will not disturb other individuals as we did have a toddler with us. Overall, it was a great experience once again. Thank you Chop. One suggestion would be to get a bigger tv and also being able to control the volume / channels =]
Excellent service and food, drinks came cold and quick... great decor! Will be back
I had made reservation @ 7 PM. We came in first, but they skipped us and gave another 2 tables of customers first. The hostess services was terrible.
They gave us table after 10 minutes, they brought us to the table, is not what I asked for. I had mentioned that, I dont want to sit under ball shape lamp on their website, because the light was too bright for us. It's end my mom need to wear sunglasses for dinner and my eyes hurt for half hour.
I asked our server to change table, took him half hour to go to front door to ask the hostess. Its end up our soup and lobster dip came.
Finally we can moved to another table with big grey chairs, but we found a lot of bread crumbs on it. They dont clean up chairs after the last customers left. I saw other tables beside us, got dirty chairs and tables too.
Our waiter services was good, after we ordered a lot. But the ladies food servers were extremely rude, black face and just left everything on our table, without asking us , who order which steak?
Chop steakhouse used to be one of my favorite restaurant. But their food quality and services were downhill now.
The server Frank was professional and polite.
He made the dining experience a pleasing one.
Food was cooked to perfections!
Chop is always a great spot for a Group Dinner. Can't wait to see the renovations.
Although we have eaten at CHOP many times in the past and had "perfect" experiences, this time we were disappointed - mainly with the food. The food wasn't hot enough when it arrived on our table. The peppercorn New York steak sauce was bland and needed more pepper. The steak itself had inedible sections due to gristle and sinew and uncooked fat. The steak bites for children were dry. One of the baked potatoes was not cooked enough - it was hard and crunchy and sour cream was sparse. The signature Manhattan martini that was supposed to be adorned with burnt orange and cherry came with black olives instead. That being said, the ribs and the appetizers (Gorgonzola Dip and Escargot) were fantastic!
The food taste great, the prime rib was perfect! The service was really slow, always had to grab the server twice before we get what we need. The food was very slow...
Our first time there. Exceptional service and the smoked rib eye was off the charts!
