Chop was created for people who love sharing, connecting and everything steak. We are proud to offer a menu that shares our commitment to sustainable beef sourcing, serving high-quality cuts of 100% Canadian beef. It isn’t just the meat that’s special – it’s also how we cook it. Our Montague broiler cooks at up to 1800 °F, giving a beautiful crust and flavour to every steak! We slow roast our prime rib in a humidity-controlled oven, keeping it mouth-watering and tender. And we put this level of care into each of our hand-crafted drinks, and from-scratch dishes, including plant-based and seafood options, with something for everyone to enjoy. One of our best experiences and we dine here a lot! The food was cooked perfectly and our servers (sorry I can’t remember their names but one nice young man and another shadowing/in training) were EXCELLENT! Thank you Chop!

We had the smoked ribeye at Chop recommended by friends so we specifically went with that in mind. Although the flavour of the steak was delicious, the steak was tough with a lot of gristle. For the price it was not worthwhile. On the other hand, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. I might return to try something different.. but not sure.

Our dinner would have been much better if the service was. We just happened to get a new server, unbeknownst to us, and if we had known, the dinner would maybe have gone a little more smoothly. As it was, the manager comped a good portion of our meal, making my unsatifactory birthday a little more bearable. Everything else was fine.

Prime rib is aged so perfectly giving it a unique taste no competition! Cooked medium rare on the spot. Huge improvement from my previous visit! Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our business lunch at Chop! The lunch menu is very good. Delicious beef dip on fantastic bread. The power bowl with shrimp was excellent, large portion. Service was good too. Highly recommend!

Loved the food and staff and service. The music however almost drove us out early with its house disco beats and blaring on the patio. People couldn’t hear each other and do not come to listen to club music. The staff did turn it down after three requests.

it has been a long time since I have come to chop steakhouse and bar in Winnipeg, but was here for business so decided to take out a customer for supper. We were seated in the dining room area, which was nice and quiet compared to the noisy bar side from the get-go, our service waitress was amazing and delightful to deal with. Very helpful with us, deciding what to choose to eat, as well as always smiling and friendly and being around to refill our waters and asking if we needed anything. Her service was over the top and delightful compared to other establishments! Great service overall will definitely return. Our food was delicious as well very quick to be made as well.

As usual food is really well prepared no matter what you choose. We had French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, burger, pork chop, prime rib and dessert trio. All orders including the sides were well seasoned and prepared. My only complaint is that the prime rib was luke warm as was the au jus/ gravy . I had prime rib a few months ago with the same issue so will likely not order it again.
