We’ve been to the Chop many times and have always had a good experience…today was not one of those times. My meal was ok it wasn’t great. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly..no small talk…very quick at our table. We were there for our anniversary..I even booked it as that. No one asked what the occasion was etc. Overall our experience was ok not great like it usually is.

First time and was never disappointed. Also my first time to try medium rare steak (always well done) and it was soo good and tender. they even gave us a complimentary cake becasue we were celebrating a milestone that day. and the staff who served us was polite and nice. excellent service! we will definitely go back!

To start, we ordered the Ceasar Salad and Crab Cakes. Both were very good. Had the Sparkling Sangria and Cherry Blossom Mojito for drinks — quite refreshing. For the main course, we had the Smoked Rib Eye. It was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Eric, our server, was very pleasant and asked if we were celebrating anything. We said that it was our anniversary and next thing we know he was handing us greeting card and a complimentary dessert. All of our food was served in a timely manner and Eric checked in on us every now and then. Overall experience 5 ⭐️ Would definitely come back.

Chop never lets us down. One of our favourite places to eat. Their steaks are amazing and the Chop Expedience give you plenty of food. Hard to beat the wedge salad and the French onion soup too.

On a personal trip to Winnipeg and found this through open table. It was close to our hotel. Turned out to be a winning pick. Great food, great drinks and amazing waiter. We were a little worried because it is attached to a hotel and right next to a Denny’s. Once we got our table all our concerns were put to rest. The mile high gin and tonic was spectacular.

Food was spectacular! Prime rib was probably the best ive ever tasted. Waiter was good however I had to ask for a refill for my drink... Great looking restaurant, I felt the music was a little louder then i'd like but maybe that's just my personal preference I brought my wife there for her 30th birthday. Informed the staff about it and they said they'd write happy birthday on the dessert plate...they didn't. I was pretty disappointed about that. I made a note when I reserved my place online AND when I called in 1 hour before my booking time to ask them to do that for me and they said they would and they didn't. That was probably the most disappointing thing about the whole visit because I literally went there just because it looked like that restaurant would go the extra mile to make your night special, I guess they just dropped the ball for us, and no they weren't busy. there was only 1 other table in our entire section that were occupied.

It was our wedding anniversary as I stated in the reservation. We were asked twice once arrived if it was a special occasion which we repeated it was. Not sure why asked or why we should indicate in the reservation if nothing was different in the service or experience.

It was a good experience; however, I took my girlfriend there for her birthday and put a special request down so they knew we were celebrating a birthday and they completely forgot or just didn’t do anything. Even though we had made a reservation noting it was a birthday - we were placed at the worst table right at the entrance. At first she just said we are fully booked and wasn’t going to move us but after expressing our disappointment she did place us at a better table. Waitress was pleasant. Food was ok but not at the level expected for the prices. Caesar salad was so overdressed it made the lettuce soggy. Spending over $200 for the meal and not loving it will have us hesitate to go back.

We’ve had prime rib here before and it was always excellent. We ordered it again tonight and it was the best prime rib we’ve ever had anywhere! The roasted beets on the side were a first for us, and a wonderful surprise. The service here is always impeccable: accurate, perfectly timed, and appropriately attentive.

We loved Chop for special occasions. Our last visit was a bit of a disappointment. Prime rib is my go to but this last time noticed that the selection of the cut left something to be desired. I don't mind paying the higher price but when I do I expect good food. Don't like higher prices and lower quality at the same time.

The service was great and we got everything fairly quick. Food quality was not like it usually is as this has been one of our favorites the last 3 years. My wife's salad was probably the best part of the meal. Crab cakes were bland and the chicken skin was kind of gross with the fat underneath.
