This was our second time coming to Cibo. The first we were blown away by the quality and authenticity of the dishes. Unfortunately, this time was not the case. We tried the octopus, as a starter, it was ok. The dish had to much chickpea puree, and not enough acid (green sauce) to make the dish sing. We also had the Arancini and the polenta Fritta, which were both up to standard. We then had the Garganelli and the Pappardelle, which were pretty much the same dish with the same sauce. In a restaurant with a limited menu, there needs to be a focus on diversity of dishes. Both sauces were heavy with red bell pepper, which took away from the other delicate flavours of the parmessan and meat. Finally we have the Osso Bucco as the main, I say finally because the whole meal took about 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete, and it was ok. As you can tell we have very high standards, which Cibo more than met last time, but in regards to the money and expectations, unfortunately Cibo did not deliver as well as I know it can based off our first experience

Slow service but waiter was nice. Food was good but below average for higher end dining. Forgot to give us our takeout.

Everything was great except the very small portions. The lamb entree I got was very well cooked except it lacked flavour- more flavour would have nailed it. Overall we had a good experience.

Appet and desserts are good. Entrees overpriced and not tasty. The bistecca was tough, the gnocchi was small and not flavourful at all. Would not go back

The food was amazing but not nearly enough. We shared an appetizer and each ordered a pasta dish, spent $100 and left hungry. We had to pick up more food on the way home. Atmosphere and service were great. The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and made good recommendations. We will not go back, if we’re going to spend that much money on dinner we’ll go somewhere with better value.

The food was good. Appetizers were better than the mains. If I went again, I would just have appetizers. Food came out very slowly.

For my guests and I always enjoy CIBO. it's the best GEM in the neighborhood. It's so close
to ROGERS PLACE that it always comes up as a choice before or after an event there.
Simply love it. Parking is a little weird but it's worth seeking it out.!!!

Cibo is a great restaurant.
I take clients and friends here before the Oiler games and everyone has been impressed. The food is awesome and fresh, not sure if they even have a freezer. Italian food with a pasta and fish special each night. Creative appetizers and unique mains. You will not be disappointed

Wife’s 50th Birthday.

Date night out. Never been before. Glad we went. Service was amazing. Good food. Will definitely be back and being friends.

This was our second visit and we will return. However, I just don’t care for either the carrot or cauliflower dishes. The carrots are over cooked and oily;the roasted cauliflower struck me as a burnt offering. The meatball appetizer and pasta dishes were very good though.
The server was excellent at understanding the bourbon drink our guest desired.

Lisa and Rosario never disappoint! We ordered the chef’s special which had cocoa infused into the handmade pasta. Cocoa! And it was divine. The ravioli tastes like dessert. The wine selection is out of this world good. This is as authentic as it gets around here. Highly recommended!

First timer.
Cibo Bistro will now be on my Edmonton restaurant rotation. The quality of the food and service was exceptional. We had doubts about the youngish waiter initially but were thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of the menu and attentiveness during our dining experience. The menu was a bit of a challenge for some in our party but our server was beyond patient dealing with a plethora questions. If you a looking for a quality meal with excellent service Cibo is a easy decision but be advised that there is a price to be paid for this. Overall a pleasurable experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

If you haven't been, you MUST check it out. If you have been, it's probably time to go back. The food was outstanding and Lisa was phenomenal. The whole experience was perfect.

The appetizers were delightful (had the fried polenta with aioli and the mushroom crostini). The pasta we had as the main course was so fresh and although they seemed simple, they had these amazing flavours. I didn't want the bowl to end.

Food was excellent. Cocoa agnelotti superb as was John Dory fish special

The food was absolutely fantastic. The Carbonara was definitely the highlight. I would go back just for another bite of that.

Girls night out

4 of us on our way to the Oilers game, great spot to have a meal and cocktails before the game. Everyone enjoyed the food and would come again and recommend it.

Clearly understaffed. Poor waiter was seating ppl, taking orders, bussing tables, pouring wine and water...pretty much everything, Because of this, everything took a LONG time. We were served the wrong pasta (which we split as an appetizer) . THere was no effort to offer any compensation for the error. Prices quite high, so overall we were disappointed. Maybe caught them on a bad night.....

Fantastic well executed food. Friendly service and great wine list and well represented Alberta craft beer. Well done Cibo!
