“Cibo" (pronounced CHEE-bo) means food in Italian, and that’s what this Italian Bistro is all about. We like to keep the menu simple, tasty, and focused, using fresh local ingredients. Cure our own meats, make our own cheese and hand roll our pasta. We make almost everything in house with a menu that changes seasonally.

* Due to the popularity of our weekends, parties of 4 or less are requested to limit their stay to 2 hours in courtesy of reservations booked after them, thank you in advance *

Cibo is a favourite of mine, for its flavours bring me a true taste of Italy. I always order the arancini which are the best in the city. Zepolle too - if I have room left after the main course. It's obvious great care is taken with the menu and with the balance of flavours. And service is attentive but not intrusive. It was the perfect venue this time, when I took a friend to say good-bye before she moves many kms away. We split an antipasto (arancini, of course), a primo (the squid pasta which was superb) and a secondo (the breast of duck - melt in your mouth delicious and complemented with kale chips). Alas no room for dessert!

We spent our anniversary dinner at Cibo, our first time to the restaurant. The food was delicious. We shared appetizers, one of which was blossoming zucchini flowers (oh so good!) the other one Arancini (rice balls), then went for pasta dishes (Corzetti Stampati & Pappardelle) and finally shared some Zeppole (doughnuts) for dessert. We went for classics and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and friendly. I highly recommend.

Definitely not worth the price of food. Antipasto salumi was awful. Salumi is plural which indicates more than one type, however we were brought a homemade salami which more resembled and tasted like pepperoni. So spicy it was not palatable.
Pasta was good, sauce very heavy however. The steak was not great, quite tough and fatty.
The salad is definitely not Panzanella as it claims. It was a very sad version of a great Tuscan recipe.
Given we are authentic Italian born and raised in Italy, this restaurant is definitely NOT authentic Italian at all and seriously overpriced for the quality. Twice eaten here and never to return!

As always Cibo is one of the best dining experiences anywhere, not it’s Edmonton. Rosario has an incredible attention to detail and marrying seasonal flavors. Lisa and the rest of the front of house team and gracious and welcoming hosts. Cibo è un vero ristorante italiano che sarà sicuramente apprezzato da chiunque abbia viaggiato in Italia.

First time there. Service and food were awesome. Authentic Italian. Owners were closing down for July to leave for different regions of Italy to learn their cuisine. When they get back they'll incorporate their new found knowledge into a new menu. A little on the pricier side but great for that special occasion. Can't wait to go back!!

Always have a good time and good food when I go to Cibo Bistro. They did over cook my steak the first time but were quick to fix the mistake. I do miss the sunchokes that used to come with the ribeye but over all the food was amazing. My fiance had their feature pasta with fresh shaved truffles and it was so good!!!

It took ten minutes for the table to be addressed. The third course was to salty for me to eat, and the next course to spicy (although I did not mention spicy as a non preference at the start so that was my fault). No customer service was offered to rectify the issue. For $150 a person and talking this place up was pretty dissatisfied with the overall experience. Will not be returning in the future.

Friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive, knowledgeable service.
Appetizer: 3 large tasty nicely seasoned meat balls in reduced sauce served wth special toast.
Lamb with pasta was tasty but the sauce over-powered the lamb flavour.....(I love lamb)
Duck breast was very tasty and cooked to my specs: rare, and the delicate seasoning complemented the taste of duck ( I love duck and goose); the accompanying vegetable was very sour and salty cabbage which my dining companion didn't like.
Dessert of delicate flon-like milky-jello was OK.
Each shared dish was separated and neatly decorated individually at the kitchen instead of doing that at the table, thank you :-)
2 pairs of Complimentary dessert for each table: they taste nice when you eat both flavours together.

An Italian Restaurant located just west of the Ice district in Oliver & (in my opinion), one of the top restaurants in Edmonton . Very friendly staff, and a very simple menu of items to dine on. Flavor combinations that truly work. had the spring asparagus and black truffle tagliette (light, simple but with loads of flavor) and the best arancini in town (crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside). Simple combinations that work.
Very worthwhile to seek out and try.

An incredible experience. The food was exceptional; beautifully prepared by true professional chefs. Presentation was perfect. Almost Michelin 1 Star, and could make it to that level without a great deal more effort.

The service was literally perfect. It was as if our server was psychic or something.

If you are looking for a brilliant evening of Italian food better than one gets in most places in Italy, this is your choice.

And, the price is right, great value for impressive food and atmosphere.

A great dining for foodies looking for the Italian experience. Server was very knowledgable with explaining the origins of the dishes. The food was exceptional and the features they have make it interesting if you've gone through the whole menu. I had the feature, Agnolotti with ricotta and black truffle. The first bite was like experiencing something amazing for the first time. Flavours blended well in an immaculate explosion in your mouth. I can talk about how amazing this place is but the best thing you can do is experience it yourself, with the JayCorp recommendation.

We arrived early but was able to be seated right away. The owner waited on us. She told us about the restaurant and is offerings. They cater to the date night needs of allowing you to share throughout the entire menu and will split the larger dishes. Drinks are very reasonably priced. They serve the courses much like an authentic Italian restaurant would with ample timing between to savour the flavours and converse with your date. We were treated to two truffles and dessert squares when the check came.
Very good service. Great tasty food leaving you full and satisfied.

the appetizers were good but a little small for the price (ie pollenta fritta and salad ) total =$31 and literally was 1/2 the size of comparable appies in similar restaurants.
Pasta - she had Garganelli for $27...again very good but a little pricey I had Mint Bigoli - interesting flavors again good but not a large portion so we decided to split Guance di Maiale – braised pork cheeks, parsnip puree, rainbow carrot salad, rosemary demi - $37 - it was sooo good but again...smallish portion for the price. Overall food was very good but price to portion ratio is off a little...my advise to CIBO - either increase portions or lower prices a little on appies, pastas and mains.
Dessert - she had Chocolate Cake – $12 very rich and dense but tasty. I had chef special Tiramisu canoli - this was a miss...Cannoli shell was nice and crisp and fresh but filling was basically ricotta and cream plus it was only slightly bigger than a lipstick case
