    In general, the cafe menu is quite modest for a Mediterranean restaurant. So the place is more of a bar than a cafe. However, the food here is quite tasty, although uncomplicated. The service is fast and comfortable. There was live music on the summer terrace. In general, this cafe is attracted by its external setting and design, but this design plays against the cafe. This place is a former warehouse, so the acoustics inside are like a warehouse and all the noise is doubled by the echo. This is not very pleasant, so we moved to the summer area. And this eliminated the whole atmosphere, because of which we came to the cafe. The food is delicious and served on time. Drinks for every taste except tea. I didn't find loose leaf tea on the menu.

    Nice atmosphere, modern looking and cool environment. My only concern was the room was very cold and we were shivering. Quick service, good beer selection, food was good and reasonably priced. I would go back again, to try other foods and this place is more for friends or date night.

    Came here for Burger Week, and our group loved the food. The arancini are always a go-to as well. Loved the view of the river and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

    Strange why there are 2 tables occupied and they place another group in the middle. There is limited separation which makes for business meetings to be reserved. The restaurant should think a little more about how they seat people at tables, don't be lazy!

    We went there for Burger week. The burger was excellent. Service was too, and fast, now we were there relatively early, 5:30. Second time there in the last few months and it was excellent both times.

    I’ve been do Cibo many times, it’s normally good but my group was extremely disappointed with the server. A few incidents: 1. When taking drink orders, 3/4 were getting alcoholic drinks and after taking orders he asked one of our wives “why aren’t you drinking”.. as if that’s any of his business. I shouldn’t have to explain why asking her “why aren’t you drinking” is inappropriate.. 2. He also said “you’ve probably had enough and reached for her plate” when she was 1/2 done her meal. I understand the rest of the party was done eating but she was simply a slow eater. Comments like those show the serves inexperience and unprofessionalism. I understand he was a young guy “trying his best” but it was still inappropriate.

    Chibo's is one of our favourite restaurants in Winnipeg. Waterfront dining at its best. The food, drinks and service are exceptional. Dined with a friend visiting from Calgary. She raved about the whole experience.

    The waiter was quick , the water cold and filtered. The bruschetta was plain and flavourless. I had chicken parmigiana with spaghetti noodles, Plain and flavourless noodles under cooked chicken burnt at one end . My son had the chorizo sausage dish , plain and flavourless. My wife had the prawns and pasta, was very good . In and out in less than an hour .

    Went for the Le Burger Week entry and it was outstanding. All the flavors blended so well it was as melt-in-your-mouth fantastic. You know a burger is great when you feel sated (and not gross) after eating it. Restaurant was a bit too noisy for my tastes -- even coming early in the evening. I can only imagine how much worse it gets when it's packed with those acoustics. Some of the staff (not our server though) seemed bit a harried and rushed but I don't think most people would take notice of that. Overall, would totally recommend.

    We made reservations for 2 and were seated at a fantastic table. Had the burger week burger and it was awesome. The potato/prosciutto soup and Greek salad were also fantastic. I know from past experience that the fries are really good as well. Our waiter was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. All in all it was a most pleasurable dining experience.

    The olive platter appetizer was so not worth it. $9 for a handful of bland-tasting pitted (pitted!) olives which cost the restaurant, perhaps, $1.00.

    Wonderful spot, great service, wonderful food. They had entertainment which unfortunately we couldn’t hear as the noise level was high. The place was pretty full so not sure this is the place for musical guests.

    Beautiful location and lovely staff. We have been to Winnipeg a few times but never to the waterfront district and it was awesome! The food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the golden hour views of the Red River.

    I was looking for a classy restaurant without the usual hype to dine with my elderly mother visiting from BC. I chose wisely! Zack was a breath of fresh air in the service industry. He was engaging and very attentive. Lovely lunch.

    Very comfortable atmosphere. The host was welcoming and friendly. The noise level is moderate where we could hear the conversation between the 2 of us on opposite sides of the table. The food is tasty with a very nice presentation, service is outstanding! I would recommend and will return to Cibo.

    Had dinner with colleagues at this restaurant. We enjoyed the patio until the rain came and we moved inside. Restaurant was very accommodating and food was outstanding. It’s the best bruschetta I’ve had - highly recommend the Brie & Apple! Will definitely dine here again!

    The service was friendly and attentive, but we waited a long time for our appetizer. We all ordered pizzas and found them all limp and soggy in the middle - certainly not the crisp crust we are used to for some reason. The taste wasn’t compromised, but the texture was awful. Cibo’s will still be a favourite haunt - just an off-night.

    Food, drinks and service were great. We would absolutely go again. Only complaint is that it was very loud and we could barely hear our server, but it is a brick/wood building so to be expected.

    Service: Our server was Lee, he was great. He was super friendly and welcoming, easy to talk with. Food: They we’re out of the mix for the drink my husband ordered. My pizza was slightly undercooked, but not that big of an issue. Priced so/so for the value. Ambiance: building is nice, seating is alright, somewhat squishy. We had a “lovely Winnipeg” view of some people fishing with a rod and sticks on the river…. Overall: our server made the experience. Food was decent. Building decent. Price is so so for what is offered. I remember it being less casual a few years ago. It has seemed to switch to more of a casual jeans and sneakers (based on servers and other diners) atmosphere.

    Very nice place. The restaurant has a huge potential, but isn’t being used to its maximum capabilities. Staff did not advise they did not have certain items in the drink menu and then had to apologize. However, overall is a very good place.
