Cibo Waterfront Cafe

We went there for dinner on Sunday night and it was fabulous. Would very highly recommend this restaurant.

We really enjoyed our Friday night dinner at CIBO. Our server was excellent, just the right amount of attention and very professional. We started with the pickerel fritto which was delicious and nicely presented with lots of fries and tasty chunks of pickerel with a spicy sauce. We also had the calamari which was perfect. Disappointed that several menu items have been taken off the list, however these are the times we are living in. We had a mushroom and pancetta pizza with Caesar salad. All delicious. Lovely atmosphere.

Everything was great from the food to the service. Cibo waterfront cafe has always been a go to when wanting something different with a good atmosphere. I love going for get together with friends or going on a date with my boyfriend this restaurant is always on the list. Definitely a hidden gem in Winnipeg and everyone must go.

They didn’t have half of the food on the menu available. The waitress didn’t know what kind of alcohol they served. Our meals were over priced and tasteless. Very dissatisfied

Service was a little slow at the beginning as we waited to be greeted at our table.

It picked up after that and everything was good.

Great salads, sandwiches and pizzas in a gorgeous waterfront location, inside or outside on the patio. Not to be missed!

The food was excellent and the service was friendly and quick. Distancing and cleaning protocols were being observed. As with most restaurants, they were trying to turn tables in order to increase their number of guests throughout the evening, but we were told well in advance and did not feel rushed as a result.

We had a great lunch at Cibo! All of us enjoyed the food and the service was excellent!

A few pieces of dishware were replaced throughout our meal because they were dirty. Potatoes for everyone were overdone. Overall it was okay.

I love coming to Cibo. The atmosphere is great and the food is wonderful. My only complaint this time is we waited over an hour to receive our food which I found very excessive. We also didn’t receive any updates from our server???

I really e joy the food and want to come back in the summer to try the patio.

The food was delicious and we love the setting. Our server seemed a little indifferent. It got busy after we ordered, so maybe that played into it. We had to inquire about the soup of the day and the daily special. Usually those things are shared with customers when a server first comes to the table. There was also an incorrect drink brought, but we took it anyway, as the bar seemed slow. It didn’t hinder our evening though.

Loved the margarita pizza and meatballs. Trying 3 types of bruschetta in one order was fun. Recommend requesting a table by the river so you can enjoy the view.

My sisters went for breakfast after staying at the Mere. Great food and a quiet time to go!

Excellent across the board. Busy on a Friday after work at 5:30. Make reservations and you won’t be disappointed!

Very disappointed in the quality of the food which was very below average...we have dined here in the past and have always found the food very good. Really hope this was just an off night...

I was a bit disappointed in my meal. I ordered the steak salad and was told that the steak would be medium rare. Instead it arrived well done - no pink anywhere! Overall, the salad was still delicious, but I was surprised it met inspection as the server and cook should have noticed immediately that the steak was not medium rare at all.

The Calamari and Arancini are amazing! Lovely location friendly staff.

The poor service ruined a beautiful experience. The waitress presented like we were interrupting her day. She left us waiting for long periods of time yet the restaurant was not busy. When we finally got our bill and reluctantly each gave a tip, not even a thank you to any of us. Sense of entitlement?? Left a bad taste with each of us.

The breakfast was fantastic, just the right number of options. Coffee was full bodied just the way we like it. The view of the river from the windows is lovely. It was a perfect romantic outing.

The food was fantastic, the service was phenomenal, and even though we went in the winter time the view was still very nice. Would definitely recommend!

We had a reservation for 11:00 expecting to have brunch based on the website saying brunch was severed until 2 pm.
Our waitress informed us brunch ended at 10:50 because they had run out of bread!! We wanted the lemon/blueberry pancakes and eggs benidect. No bread needed for that!! We stayed anyways and the food was good, service just ok ( for a 135.00 plus tip for 6 people). I would need incentive to go back.
