The food was not great, and especially not for the prices.
Bread is not offered with pasta dishes. Had to ask twice for parmigian.
I've gone for Lobster Tuesday two weeks in a row. The lobster risotto is exceptional. The service and atmosphere were both wonderful as well. My friend and I had a great time catching up at Cibo on both occasions.
Slow and thoughtless service. Waited 10 minutes before a server came. 20 minutes for drinks. Inefficient server from the get go. Food was overly salty.
Good restaurant, great pasta bolognese and spedini!
Good, service was great. Will eat there again.
Enjoyed the food, although I thought the pizza could have a little more crunch to it. Service was wonderful and kind.
Everything was good except the service was very disappointing. Had to keep on reminding the waitress for cutlery, water, Parmesan cheese and all the basic customer service you expect. Seems like people take it for granted that no matter the type of service customer visits will not be impacted.
Food was good and the waiters were amazing.
Great meal with friends - food was great - wind recommendations perfect - convenient location
I had heard good things. The atmosphere was lovely and the wine was amazing. The food was so-so and the service even more so-so. Would not go out of my way to go back and would not recommend to a friend. Overall walked away feeling like it was “overrated”.
Excellent service!! Great food!!!
Great primitivo wine recommended by server. We took my sister and brother in law out for dinner. We all loved it
I have eaten here several times. During this particular experience I felt our table service was very rushed. Our meal was completed within one hour. We were hoping to have a leisurely meal prior to theatre and had allowed plenty of time to do so with our reservations being scheduled at 5pm.
I am also finding that the menu is becoming stagnant and does not seem to change very often, seasonally.
The wine list is interesting and extensive. It would be helpful to offer some more affordable wines.
The latches on two of the washroom doors were broken, thus discouraging people from using them.
Did not have napkins or utensils for our party of 4. Had to ask multiple times to bring them. Our main order did not even come, even though they asked us if we were in a time crunch before we ordered (we weren’t initially- but the food never came). Finally the manager came out when it was too late and said someone dropped our food and it would take too long to remake it in time for us to leave for the show we were attending. By the time we were notified of that, it was too late to even go to a fast food joint to grab something on the go. So we just left. The appetizers were terrible, but at least they came.
Power went out at the restaurant. Poor experience for a business meet.
Great food and service. Clean restaurant & friendly staff.
Awful service. Didn't check in on us. We were sat for 15 mins before she even came by. We only ordered sandwiches for lunch and it took over half an hour to arrive. Took forever to get the bill. Very underwhelming
Excellent food and wine, great atmosphere. Friendly and out-going staff. I thought the vibe of the restaurant was awesome!
The food and service was great but the peach sangria did not taste like neither peach nor sangria. Very disappointed in the drink.
A wonderful experience to share with friends, excellent and attentive service, good food and good value. Consistent and my go to restaurant in Toronto.
I really enjoy this restaurant. Each time I’ve been there, the service is really good, food is excellent. Pasta and pizza are excellent. I really enjoy dining outside on a warm evening.
wonderful! It was a little busy so we had to wait a little longer than usual but that’s understandable
Food was only ok as two pasta dishes were cold when they arrived. Service was good
It was fire fam. Would recommend to anyone who asks for dinner options.
The restaurant was really noisy with dinner guests with small children. I was surprised given the time, but it made the evening less enjoyable. Not the restaurants fault or in their control.
Great atmosphere! The prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Our waitress was a sweetheart.
The food was good, but possibly not worth the prices. The ambiance and presentation was good but it felt very average. I would expect more flavor for the prices.
Really nice restaurant, serving staff was great but we waited a long time for our food.
The walk outside the restaurant along Brandt st. is terrible - stinky from garbage, not sure how people sit on patio. But once inside really nice place, clean and much larger than you think.
Had dinner with a girlfriend and had a really nice time. Our somm was efficient and had a fantastic recommendation. Service was helpful and attentive while also giving us space to chat for ages.
Amazing dinner, atmosphere, one of the best sommeliers we have ever had... def going back
We sat on the patio and enjoyed a fun dining experience. Our waitress was knowledgeable and efficient. A very nice evening. Thank you
Ive never posted a review before but I feel compelled after this dinner. Tables way too close together and the chairs (opposite the booth) are much too short. Uncomforable to eat with my elbows so high and looking up at my partner. The table was too small to hold the complementary bread, appetizer, wine cooler and wine glasses...which should be expected to be on the table at the same time. Food was great, but it was frustrating to eat with 1) the guy behind me hitting my chair every time he got up 2) my front and backside rubbing on people’s chairs as I squeezed my way sideways to the bathroom 3) wine cooler being on a random ledge behind my girlfriend 4) our wine glasses barely fitting on the table 5) having to reach carefully as do not get my dinner jacket dirty because the chairs were much too low. Ate here once before and was longing to come back. This time it seemed way too crammed and I don’t know if the great (GREAT) food, wine and service is worth the frustration to come back again
Celebrated a birthday dinner here with my parents. Service was great. Our food was delicious, however my father's seafood pasta had 3 clams. 2 of 3 were completely closed which means they were not cooked properly. We brought it to the waitress' attention. She immediately went to the kitchen to rectify. The kitchen cooked a whole side portion of clams which was delivered by the manager who apologized. Great service!!
Excellent from start with hostess to our finish conversation with the waitress. So good!
Great food. Great price for a business lunch
The lasagna was with a lot of salt and the second it was with an insect. Bad experience but good place. Hope get better next time.
My boyfriend and I were seated immediately upon arrival and our waiter, Juan, was prompt with introducing himself and proving us with water. He gave us a few minutes to look over the drink menu which was extensive and we decided to order a bottle of wine and a beer. The wine showed up within a few minutes but the beer was never delivered to the table. It took our server 40 minutes to come back to our table to take our food order. He admitted that he forgot about our table as he was serving an entirely different section. He did feel very bad about this and proceeded to take our food order and provide us with bread. The food came out shortly after. The polenta fries were very good and the pizza and pasta that we had were also delicious. The waiter did apologize profusely and did comp the pizza and the polenta fries to try make up for it (which is why I gave a 2 star rating due to him trying). We would definitely recommend CIBO for their food but more than likely wouldn’t go back due to the service.
Had dinner for two and ordered appetizers and main dishes. First the arancini was cold. Didnt make a fuss.... then the main diahes came and both were cold as well (the plates were warmer). Service was adequate however tables are tight for guests to maneuver.
