We got there at 8pm Sunday night for my parent's anniversary dinner. Ordered by 830 because the waiter was MIA after our water and bottle was served. It was not very busy either. Even had to ask the host for bread and more water. And the food finally came out by 920. It was very delicious, but I can't say it was anything special, even if you get the fresh house pasta (not worth it imo). We were offered some dessert for waiting so long. If it wasn't for that, i would rate it at 3star.
Fantastic ambience, delicious food. Best priced buffet in the city.
Great experience, went for our friends Christmas party
What a great night! The food was outstanding (and I think we tried almost everything on the menu). Our server was lovely and attentive but at times it felt like we were rushed. We understand wanting to turn a table on a busy night, so we’ll let it slide. Otherwise, it was a 10/10!
Very good !
It was our first time. We arrived fitting 1/2 price wine night which was a pleasant surprise. The service was great. The food was excellent. I have to eat GF and there were plenty of options displayed on the regular menu. We would go again.
We did not have the best table, close to the kitchen. The manager was lovely and tried to find us another table and when she was unable to, she gave us complimentary desserts. Turned out to be a great experience because of that.
Very good food, although the penne arrabiata is EXTREMELY spicy! (The server quickly got a second order for the table). Good ambience.
Family visiting from Europe
Our server was not very attentive and it was really cramped but the food was amazing and the half priced mimosas were great based on that i would definitely return
I’ve done this brunch many times but first time with a Groupon and was worried a little reading the recent reviews.. the brunch was great however, food was delicious as usual and service was really good this time.... the only thing we missed was fruit and desserts, they were pretty much gone before we got to them.. I think starting at 2 pm is late... next time I’ll book an earlier reservation.. One of the best Groupons !
Consistently good food and usually a table available for larger groups
Very impressed, first time there for my company
Great food and atmosphere. Fantastic service. Loved the lobster stuffed ravioli.
Great server and ambience. Would definitely come back!
Food was neither bad nor good.
Carbonara bore no resemblance to any Carbonara we’d ever eaten. Lasagne was adequate but flavours missing. This was a glorified cafeteria meal. Spaghetti Factory flavour.. Our server was delightful. Simply not worth it.
Excellent service and food. Very busy place, but service was top notch. I would definitely return.
Good variety of food selection, everything we orders was amazing.
Food was great , loved the atmosphere and great wine
The food was delicious but very small portions, we left still hungry.
Service lacking professionalism/training and awareness for the needs of the guests. Small portions. Overpriced. Not great value.
from the ambiance to the food, this place was amazing. the starters were all delicious and well paced. the winners were the pastas and perfected sauces.
We went for the Sunday brunch which has a fantastic selection of food. The manager, and our server were both incredibly attentive. Overall great service and great food. Definitely would go back!
Awesome place, with great service. The atmosphere is great for friends or a date. Food was inredible!
Interesting, great suggests from the waiter, perfect pace and of course excellent food!
Service was top notch, she was lovely. Wine recommendation from the sommelier was perfect. Coming back soon!
Food was good, but service very disappointing. This is the 3rd time there, all experienced similar issue: for the first two times, service was ok, but the recent visit, the service hit a record low.
First, reservation not found; then empty plates were stacking up, then empty water glass without topping up even once until asked at checkout. Then tips added for a small group without asking.
Blaming the Groupon voucher? Asking for tipping up at full amount.
Tips charged in full but service discounted!
So glad that we came here to celebrate my friend’s 30th birthday. We were put in a nice booth and we had a very friendly and knowledgeable waitress. Food was spectacular (and I am quite picky about Italian since my family is Italian ourselves), and for the quality and ambience the price was very reasonable
Ambience was nice...food was over rated. Staff was friendly and service was good
The food is amazing, although lacking in quantity. Wine is extremely overpriced. Atmosphere is wonderful.
Great meal, great drinks, and great service. Staff were kind and knowledgeable plus on top of everything. Water and wine stayed topped off and food was quick and hot.
Incredibly overpriced. Much better Italian in the area for moderate price. Go to Gusto 101 or Buca just down the street.
The ambiance was nice. Lot of wood and a subtle rustic look. Ambiance was nice. Lots of seating. Staff were great. I like to ask for signature drinks when I first visit an establishment. I loved Cibo's Aged Negroni. And they are not cheap on the volume either. Which is hard to find anywhere. Appetizers Calamari and Carpacio were well prepared. We had the Lobster Tuesday's specials. Rizzotto and MAC and Cheese amazing. Menu had lot to chose from. I like the special menu items they have on certain days. Only critique would be bread and hot oil - typical Italian doesn't consider that an appetizer. I did even check if there is a charge for that but it shouldn't be and it should be standard. This is Italian isn't it? Desserts were plentiful to select and delicious cannoli and cheesecake were well presented and tasted great.
Fantastic food and atmosphere as always, Cibo is the first place I will bring a friend visiting from out of town. The only critique I would give was that it was often difficult to get our server's attention and we found ourselves waiting on him quite often. Other than that great experience, will definitely be returning.
Went for Sunday brunch buffet and it did not disappoint! Great variety, fresh food and wonderful service. We'll definitely do it again!
Thank you for your positive feedback. We are thrilled you enjoyed your dining experience at Cibo Wine Bar. We look forward to seeing you again very soon! Best, Sarah K. Marketing Coordinator Liberty Entertainment Group
Our reservation was for 1:15 we didn't seat till 1:50 PM . . . with a reservation.
When i was getting my food i saw the kitchen staff scoop up food from a stainless steel bowl that he brought to replenish the cold-cuts with his hands . . . some dropped out of his hands (no gloves), missed the Charcuterie board and rolled onto the table - he just grabbed it and briskly tossed it back on the board. It was a trough fill up - might as well have dumped a bucket instead of a steel bowl.
The egg station staff was really nice and patient with the guests. the bacon smelled off - bacon of all things for brunch that should be right - but it was overcooked and smelled like it was old.
the cheese board was not replenished nor cared for - it was sooo messy - they could have taken it to the back cleaned up the mess a bit and brought back a nicer cleaner less crumbly version.
The tables where too close together (we were seated by the booths in the back by corner (left of the entrance leading to the washroom). Everytime someone got up either our table or a table around us someone would be bumped - Cibo is supposed to be more elegant than this.
The washroom was hot and smelled like the kitchen - need more ventilation in that area - the decor before entering the washroom was pretty striking - I loved it.
The roast beef was more tough than I had expected. I was so tender the last time I had it about 2 months back.
I was disappointed in my birthday brunch. We had this a couple of months back and we were so impressed but this time . .. not so much.
Oh and there was no plates for about 5 mins (not a lot of time but after waiting for 4 mins to be seated an extra 5 mins was tough to overlook).
I purchased a groupon for 4 and one other one for two. I had to pay 18 percent gratuity on the original cost of the meal which was 321. The total cost for the meal was 250. I don’t think I my children even ate 5. Worth of food.
As well, there was a terrible stench in the basement where the bathrooms were.
The food was amazing, but the service was terrible.
We were a group of four, so I don't understand why in a buffet restaurant, where the server came I think twice to the table, the would add 18% gratuity on the bill. I ended up paying $30 for a crappy service.
I could notice a huge difference on Cibo’s service in the last couple of years. Not sure if management has changed, but I miss the good times when I could relate Cibo as a legit Italian. Now, servers are anxious about orders and press us over to order.
Service was very good - but one dish was not fresh. Waiter exchanged happily and gave us coffee and bread on the house as compensation. Nice gesture - and he was very apologetic! I
Italian inspired menu and large interior rooms. Despite the large size, it was not too noisy. Service was prompt and overall good value for pizza and pasta. Our table enjoyed the restaurant.
