The meal was fantastic, but the service was inconsistent. Initially it was very good, although we had three servers, so it was a bit disjointed. After the main course, we said we were interested in dessert. The server at the time said she'd give us a few minutes and then come back for our dessert order and never came back, we eventually just asked for our bill and skipped dessert. That was dissappointing end to a very good meal.
I am a person that likes a spicy and salty food but Truffle Tagliatelle I had last night and my partner's Fusilli chicken were waaaay too salty. I mean it. Straciatella soup was so so. In a nut shell the price does not reflect the food quality. The service was acommodating.
Noisy environment is a matter of a personal preference so if anyone is looking for a more romantic environment I advise visiting this establishment before making a reservation.
Please note I've different cusine around the world between a hut in a himalayan village of Nepal to some of the finest restaurants in Europe so I wouldnt consider myself a snob.
Nothing made this place anything more than ok. Thought it strange they had a guy to just seve wine but he didn't come to table to make recommendations.
Food was great. Party of 8 and we were treated great.
The restaurant was overall a very nice place. Went to celebrate an anniversary and it was a good choice for the group that attended. Lots of options for every dietary requirement. There were a few glitches with our meal, but nothing that they didn’t sort out quickly. Only criticism was that we were seated right by open kitchen and head chef was a little too zealous (think a little Gordon Ramsey :) ) talking with staff. Some of us were entertained, but if you don’t want distraction, have them seat you elsewhere. Loved our meal for sure.
Ravioli short rib was phenomenal
Very good. Highly recommend! We really enjoyed out time here!
My first time to cibo the food was delicious, great ambiance i did a dinner with my girls for my birthday. Service was not bad our server was new but she tried her best and when she left for the night the other server that took over was friendly and nice! Overall I definitely recommend and I will be back!
Food and cocktails were top notch. Very nice ambience, not too dark. Our server was phenomenal, made great recommendations for entrees. The polenta fries were 10/10
Matteo was incredible. The food and service was outstanding. Everything came out so quickly and was hot. Amazing experience!!
The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing.
Chef’s kiss. Amazing. No complaints
Great place for group of people. Excellent wine selection for Italy lovers.
We were in town for a few days and dined here to celebrate Thanksgiving as well as a birthday. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. Will definitely return!
Great place to dine! Loved the food, setting, and the service was great.
The server lady was rude and the the service wasn’t professional.
The server was very good. The grilled octopus was amazing and the rib steak.
food was mediocre and everything was “over truffled”. First sat in a completely empty section, even though there was space where others were seated. Then placed in front of the pizza oven (way too hot), then by the back (freezing). The restaurant has gone down hill since I last visited. Wouldn’t recommend or go again.
Pasta could be better and the portion should be bigger
The servers were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious too!.
Cool ambiance but as always food is overpriced for what is is. Every dish we ordered needed salt. Compared to other Italian restaurants in the neighborhood this doesn’t to the job. It has been the same experience at every Cibo I’ve been to (overpriced food and an ok dining experience). Service was great tho! :)
The food , especially the appetizers were poorly prepared definitely not worth the price! The pastas were OK but not as tasty as they were before pandemic!! Definitely will try other italian restaurants next time.
Great food & great service. Quiet Sunday afternoon lunch.
Celebrating friends MBA!
We sat on the patio and no fault of restaurant but Saturday nights are loud with people, cars, motorcycles, etc.
Food was ok. Nothing to rave about. Bruschetta was bland, no lobster ravioli and portions were small for the price (especially pasta).
So many great restaurants in Toronto. Cibo is not a need to go back.
Placed at a table basically in the walkway entrance; food and drinks were great but VERY overpriced; even at a low capacity and well-staffed, we were not checked in on and had to waive down staff to get any service.
Service was very slow. And the restaurant wasn’t even busy
The service was fine but the food had no flavour and the rapini in our pasta was rancid. Even with adding additional sea salt, it was awful. For the price, this just should not happen with a basic pasta dish.
I met with my cousin at a time when there was hardly anybody in the restaurant, but even so tables are very spaced out and there’s a lot of room so that I would have felt safe even with more people there. The check-in experience was easy, the service was very attentive and food was very good. We only had pizza and an appetizer but we enjoyed it very much.
server was amazing to our party and the food was delicious!
Our server was amazing! I can’t remember her name but she was the best server we had at this location. She was from London ON so hopefully this message gets back to her and working on Sunday sept 26. Thank you for the amazing meal and the fun experience! We will definitely be joining you again.
Took friends to Cibo who were visiting and the food and service was fantastic!!
No acknowledgement that it was a special occasion and service was slow
Not sure why it took nearly 30 minutes for a cocktail.
Also they kept trying to clear our plate and we weren’t even done with our appetizer.
There’s is just something special about CIBO. Every single time we have dined at any of the locations it has been most memorable. From the service to the food to the wine, absolutely perfect. Can’t wait till next time.
Our server was exceptional and he added to our enjoyment of the evening.
Great setting but overall there is better Italian food elsewhere.
Appetizers were amazing ! Service was fantastic !
Everyone was very happy with their meals. Lobster ravioli was to die for.
Decent food, but the service is terrible. Forgotten orders, can't even place orders unless you flag the wait staff down, makes you feel like you've been forgotten. Staff wore masks only some of the time and often under the nose (including the manager)
