   Hostesses were confused about our reservation. We informed the first hostess that our party was only going to be 4, instead of the 6 in our reservation, but she seated us at a table for 6 anyways. Later another hostess informed us we had to move to a table of 4. She was rude and unapologetic. She made us feel unwelcome. I have worked in restaurants for years and moving customers because of host/hostess mistakes is not acceptable. I will not be back.

   Yesterday night was my one of the best experience! Staffs were very nice, food was amazing, we just loved the place. I cant wait for the next visit. We truely appreciate every moments we had last night.

   Really disappointed with my experience at the restaurant, bland and tasteless food , yet quite expensive! 30 dollar pasta with no taste and bad portion sizes. Do not recommend!

    The food was not great. For that amount of money I have been to many better restaurants. It was my husbands birthday and no one said anything. Even though I wrote it in the reservation

    Food was just okay. Some of it came out of the kitchen so quickly, like before the server would’ve had a chance to place the order which makes me think that it was extra or a mistake that was served to us. Support staff was lack lustre and did not seem to be all that concerned about appearance, customer experience, or looking like they enjoyed their job.

    Very poor service couldn’t even get water had to keep asking . Pizza took forever and when it finally came it was over cooked . Servers not helpful seemed as if they were confused as where to be they even brought the wrong food to us that was meant for another table ,we ate upstairs and only five tables imagine if there was more . 1 espresso took over 10 min we have been many times but not impressed at all with this time and location wasn’t cheap at all considering what we had it was terrible .

    Actually, everything was very good until the food came. My partner and I ordered the salade niçoise - and while the components were good (the tuna was excellent), there was absolutely no dressing on the rest of the salad. It made for a large plate of dry arugula...it was fresh - but - after a while, you feel like a horse eating hay...The restaurant is very nice, the service was very good - the food was fair. I would recommend it - but not the salad...

    It’s embarrassing to go support these places after Covid. The food had no taste, they brought me a flat diet coke that I returned only to get (after 20 minutes and calling multiple waiters to come help us) another flat pop. Service was terrible ,nobody ever showed up at our table. When they came with the bill, 20% tip was automatically selected 😂 They act like they don’t care, since after Covid people are going to come anyway, regardless of the service /food and the experience.

    A great meal - the best we’ve had in a long time. I’ve been drinking whiskey sours for 15 years, and I tell you theirs is top shelf. My wife had the lamb ragu pappardelle and said it was probably the best pastas she has ever had Well done We had a great time and will surely be back A bit pricey… but worth every penny

    I always walk into the Cibo on king wanted to give this location a second try was super disappointed! The waitress was so disrespectful to our table I ordered the octopus it came and as soon as I touch it, it was cold. I try to cut it but it was so hard that my salad just went everywhere. Anyhow bad tasting so bad, I also got the pasta and that was delicious. So when I told the waitress about it shes like oh no that’s to bad. However with that she was not coming up to ask how the food was we had to keep calling her over for drinks and mind you the restaurant was not that busy. When the bill came she didn’t compensate for that octopus I mentioned it to her shes like oh well and I paid it anyways. She didn’t even get a manager to speak to me, went to the hostess when I was leaving super nice lady apologized for everything and said she would let the manager know. Anyhow last time at this Cibo. I’d save myself the trip and just hit up yorkville or king west!

    Once upon a time I would have recommended Cibo to others. I've gone frequently to this location on Yonge as well as the one on King and the whole experience has gone downhill. First of all, we were in a table for two that was kitty corner to the corner of the bar almost to the point where it felt like we were in the way. The people and servers had to almost side-shuffle to get past us. It was in no way an ideal spot and in fact, it felt like tables were jammed in just to make a buck. If this table was in the original seating plan, then it's horrible. Maybe Cibo is making up for losing money during the Covid shut down so they are packing the tables in? Secondly, there is no bread given out anymore apparently. I know groceries prices have gone up as has everything, but bread? This is a staple item at an Italian restaurant and pretty sad that it wasn't offered. Service and food were just fine. Nothing spectacular. The overall ambience of the place used to be such that you felt like you were out somewhere special. We may have just as well gone to any other Italian restaurant in the city. Cibo is no longer anywhere special in my books.

    We received our appetizers quickly. But waited 45 min-1 hour for the food!! It only came after asking our waitress. She was not particularly apologetic and didn't really seem to care. In fact she even avoided our table after we asked the question about when we would get our meal, so she wouldn't have to answer the question of when our food was coming. Kids were tired, and everyone wanted to leave. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences ever! The waitress did not ask if wanted parmesan or anything else, we had to flag her down to get it. The spaghetti and meatballs came without the meatballs...and then we had to wait a further 15 minutes for the meatballs to be added and they were partially burnt. The gnocchi was cold, but if we sent it back would have taken a long time to get it back. This restaurant should do better!

    Fantastic experience our server yesterday Nadine was fantastic - and made our family dinner a great night and the manager she was also very awesome came over several times to make sure everything was good and also came to bring us refills and clean up our table - we had a very good experience as usual at Cibo - nice to see that they take pride in making you feel at home -

    Poor service, they were short staff and it was very noticeable. We were never greeted or welcomed when a server came to the table, he poured us tap water without asking if we were interested in still or sparkling water (so much for upselling) We had waited longer than normal for drinks and for our apps and mains to come out. There were at least 200 people seated with 4 waitstaff, 1 manager (looking very anxious) and 2 runners...so the ratio was way off, there should have been more staff to service the guests, it obviously effected quality of service. The food was good, portions were fair.
