Our hostess and waitress were lovely and timely in their service. Our meals arrived within a timely manner, however, was disappointed in the quality of the food. Ambience was wonderful
Service was terrible. Food was average/good.
The food was amazing. We loved sitting upstairs.
The tables were well spaced, no overcrowding, our spot was excellent, really private.
The servers were very attentive and polite, helpful with choosing the right wine.
The dishes were just the right portion and very tasty, especially the seafood ravioli
was outstanding, the bruschetta could have been tastier. The location of our table
was tops, very private, close to the outside (just as I have asked for).
All in all was a great experience with our visiting American friends!
I will recommend the place to our friends definitely!!!
I had dinner here with friends--we ordered the funghi pizza, gnocchi, lunguine, braised short ribs, carbonara, and gelato. I really recommend the pizza! Our waitress was also nice and very accommodating.
Food always decent. But service tanked once they got really busy. We had to specifically ask the hostess for our server to swing by for the bill after waiting for a solid 30 minutes with empty plates.
Beautiful restaurant. Service could use some work (lack of attention to our table). Grilled calamari was bland. The orecchiette was fantastic, two thumbs up. Dessert portions are tiny, but delicious.
My second time here. Love this place. Great staff, great view.
The food was good but I wouldn’t write home about it.
A little overpriced all things considered but definitely not bad.
It was super intimate & great
Pre-panidemic CIBO Yonge Street was one of our regular favorites. This was our first visit since then and so disappointing. The meat ball appetizers had to be sent back twice as were cold inside. The Lobster Ravioli had absolutely no flavouring / seasoning. I understand restaurants have to make cut backs but when the food quality goes down your going to lose your regulars.
Service was almost non existent. Waitress seemed rushed and not overly engaging. She did not come back to check on the table. Food was mediocre.
I called to advise I was going to be 5 minutes late for my reservation - their information said that they have a 10min grace period. When we got there we were told because we were late we would have to wait a little longer for a table which didn’t make sense because a table should have already been prepared and waiting. When we sat down the waiter didn’t introduce herself. The overall place is nice but the people who work there could be more welcoming. The bathroom was out of tissue and the food was okay
Everything was wonderful, the food excellent. Unfortunately it was very busy and it restaurant was woefully understaffed. Our poor server was in the weeds and we barely saw her after our mains were cleared. We waited over 20 minutes after we asked for the bills. Not her fault! But just put a damper on the end of a fantastic night.
I got the Gigli pasta, and my friend got the Risotto with Clams. The portion sizes were good, but I felt that my pasta was underseasoned and somewhat meh. My friend mentioned that the risotto sauce was too sour and the meat didn't seem fresh.
Service was friendly and attentive, and prices were on par with other Italian restaurants (20 something dollars for entree). However, given that the food wasn't great, I don't see myself coming back.
A great restaurant for an intimate dinner and/or celebration. The interior design and ambiance creates the perfect mood for such occasions while the excellent service tops it off. Thank you for a great evening.
Crazy expensive. $9 for a bottle of beer and $18 for a small glass of wine? I had 2 beers. So with tax and tip it was $50...outrageous.
Amazing girls night out!
Great food, service & atmosphere!
Overpriced for what you get. Servers spent more time showing their phones to each other. Orders were wrong and they said it was not their fault and blamed us for ordering wrong thing. Also gelato was horrible had no taste. And should have been returned but we did not feel like being told it was our fault again…
All I can say is Yum Yum Yummy
Great food , reasonable prices and OUTSTANDING service 🍷‼️
Everything was great, service was quick and prompt
Amazing! Very helpful with dietary restrictions, so thankful for that!!
Good is pretty good, good service, reliable place.
Overprice bland food. Server distracted and inattentive. Would not go back akd there again.
Very good service and food, road traffic a bit noisy but was nice to be outdoors
Great place for a fun night out
Food was very good and reasonable
A few of the things we received were not excellent. Service was not so great
I’d recommend this restaurant and it was a pleasure to visit during our trip. I’d go there again!
Had a pleasant evening but the cocktails were not very good, the food was ok and the table at which we were seated felt like a school cafeteria.
Our waitress was very nice, but one girl that brought a plate was very negative and not friendly...
the calamari arrived cold and the carpaccio is clearly overpriced for the amount of meat you have. Disappointed...
I've always had a great experience at Cibo Wine Bar on Yonge (I've been to this particular location many times over the years) however, while the food was very good as it always is, the service could definitely have been better! I understand that our server may have been busy with other tables, however, the initial server greeting was not very welcoming. As someone who's been working in the restaurant industry for over eight years now, you really should not greet a table by putting coasters down and saying "still, sparkling, or tap?". Tell us your name and try to be a little more friendly and welcoming! We're here to spend money and have a good time! Our server did, however, turn things around as time passed by regularly checking in and cracking a joke or two. Regardless of my and my girlfriend's experience, I will continue to return in the future as I love the food and ambiance at Cibo!
Waitress charged $13 instead of $12 (as listed on menu) for my wine. Penne alla vodka was really dry.
Nadine was wonderful: pleasant, proficient.
The pasta dish was warm, hearty, perhaps a little heavy on the seasoning. The panda cotta was too gelatinous.
Overall, a fine evening.
It was a nice dinner. We ordered a pizza and salad.
The lack of staff and probably malfunction of A/C made this experience terrible. Waited for almost 15 minutes after seating down on the table for somebody come and welcome to the restaurant. Another 10 minutes to bring empty glasses for water, another 5 minutes for water. We ended up asking our food to go because all that and many other things made us not wanna eat at the restaurant.
Went for a birthday dinner , food was excellent atmosphere and the service was exceptional . Would recommend for sure and going back with friends soon .
Amazing Service, Amazing Prices, Amazing Food
Eaten here a few times. Keep hoping the food will be better each time. Disappointed each time
Located uptown Toronto this place has a beautiful vibe, great service and awesome cocktails. The food was great and not overpriced. The waitress was kind, attentive and thorough. It was a bit warm inside as the front door was open to the patio and letting hot humid air in, but I rather that than a cold dining area. Wonderful ambiance for any event or group! We loved it.
