AMBIANCE loved it.
SEATING ridiculously low I needed a pillow which was found for me by a delightful staff member.
STAFF couldn't be better.
A BIG NO NO for me...staff came around while I was still finishing my dinner and swiftly cleared my husbands plate and my side plate while we were chatting.
THE MEAL ITSELF...I suppose some diners are not as concerned about the food itself but go more for the friends and conversation, not us...salad starter...the prosciutto was very tough, prosciutto should melt in your mouth. My husbands short ribs were flat and tasteless...my Branzini, and Branzini is one of my go to meals when we are out, was so tasteless it could not have been fresh at all, but the worst thing, my first four bites left me with bones in my mouth...not good.
CUDO"s ...to the wait staff, everything perfect from the greeter to the young lady that got me a pillow, they were delightful
CUDO's...for taking the price of my branazini off the bill...
Will we go back, sadly not until CIBO ups their game on the food itself, you can have all the other bits and bobs perfect but as for my husband and myself...well we also go for the quality of the food...
We found the service outstanding and our food was great. A great menu with a large variety of options. The drinks and wine lists were top notch.
Enjoyed our loooong lunch as we had not met for some time. Unfortnuately for Cibo, but wonderful for us it was not very busy and it was nice and quiet.
From the friendly greeting at the door, to the delicious food, and the wonderful, attentive staff, our experience on a special occasion was outstanding!
Was a lovely night out - great atmosphere, food and service, which I find is typical for CIBO. Felt really good on a COVID front - well distanced tables, and all staff/ clients following safety protocols. Just what I expected when I booked there and would return.
We ate there before and my wife had mushroom pasta last time and we ate it again last night. But it wasn't as good as when we were there last. I tried to get a chicken parm but was unable available and the same with organic chicken unavailable. The waitress is some what cold suggested me to order short ribs with palenta I ordered it but we already ad palenta fries as an app. So it wasn't a good suggestion.
Service was slow, server inexperienced.
They didn’t have a chicken option, how can they run out of chicken? My food was ok, my friend had salmon which was raw in the middle, the Manager stopped by the table started mansplaining how salmon was cooked, bottom line, it was raw and undercooked. Overall disappointing experience
We had a great server however based on the volume of people there probably should have been more people on staff. We had to ask a couple of times for our items and didn’t get bread brought to the table we had to ask for it after our meal
The manager was absolutely amazing. He was every where making sure everything and everyone was enjoying their experience. Class act.
The restaurant was not too busy, with several empty tables. We were guided to our table and it took almost 10 minutes for the waitress to come over to get our first order.
The food was not was I expected. I have dined at other CIBO locations and the service and food have been always impeccable; therefore, I was expecting the same from this location.
Our waitress disappeared and we had to call someone else several times to be served.
Xmas dinner with friends
The ambience at the Yonge location was mesmerizing. The aesthetics really set the tone for a chill evening dinner. The music was upbeat house music and helped the place feel alive. The pizza was better than other Italian restaurants I’ve tried. With regards to the drinks, the blonde sangaria I ordered wasn’t fruity at all, and a bit bitter but my overall experience was good. I will definitely, revisit this wine bar!
The food and drinks were very good!!!
The environment is pleasant and the service great
The wait staff was very good. It was the food the wasn’t great and was over-priced. Cannelloni came out cold and we had to send it back. Spinach salad, while edible, there was not enough dressing or other ingredients mentioned in the menu. My Tagliatelle was very tasty but only warm, not hot.
I booked this place for my sister’s birthday. They were five teenagers and at the end the waitress put 50$ extra tip for herself on the bill telling my sister that she did it because they made noise. I know waiting on teenagers must be hard but it’s not right to put 50$ tip on the bill without getting consent. Also the waitress brought a food that my sister and their friends didn’t order and told the waitress about it but she insisted that they should take it even though they didn’t order it. And at the end the mistaken food was also on the bill!
Great great restaurant. High quality, complex food, good lighting and noise levels so you can have a good conversation, beautiful decor, professional service. Will go back.
Seated at the absolute worst table in the venue! I got to watch the kitchen the whole night as people passed by our table towards better ones. The servers rushed psst our table with inches to spare, leaving the kitchen to serve others 🤷🏽♂️. I totally expected a lap full of linguine! 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
The Sommelier visited our table to question my wine choice. He didn’t have a WSET diploma, but I did 🤷🏽♂️ (totally hoping for the up-sell) if you’ve got a great wine program you need to ditch the QR menu!
This is not the place to catch up with an old friend.
But definitely the place to bring birthday balloons and celebrate like it’s the 905! 🤷🏽♂️
Food is still good, service and staff is great. Ambiance is not great. Music was so loud I felt like I was in a night club, but biggest issue is peeling and ripped banquette seating (and not just one seat but every booth along an entire wall). That’s ridiculous for a restaurant of this style.
Cibo is such a consistent, reliable experience. It had a great buzz for a Saturday night, with tables of all ages enjoying meals together. Food was yummy as usual, only glitch was our server was very “ok”. Food service was very rushed (no time to breath btw servings) and once our main was served he completely forgot about us. Not enough to keep us from going back again, but enough to ask for a different server next time.
Great food and great ambiance!
We enjoyed our first experience at Cibo very much. Everything was great (food, service and value). I thought it was a bit noisy ( not too much), but made it a bit difficult to speak to each other. It would not stop me from getting ing back. Actually we are looking at our next visit with friends in a few weeks.
Overall my partner and I had a good time at Cibo. The food was amazing as per usual. The ambience was perfect for date night. However, our entire dining time took two hours and at times we definitely felt neglected and had to ask another waitress passing by to get the attention of ours. The time in between us finishing out appetizers and our waitress taking our mains order was appox 30-40 min.
Nice big room makes it feel like an event. Friendly and helpful service. Wine list is a pricey for a pizza and pasta family dinner. In general though, a great time.
Waitress was not attentive
Tried Cibo for Sunday brunch as we were looking for a new spot. It was tremendous. The breakfast pizza was outstanding. The eggs Benedict solid and poached eggs done right. The hash brows were really outstanding. It will be our new go to for brunch.
Excellent service, delicious food, chill vibe, we'll run, great location. Overall, a great time out.
A few of our dishes were taken away from us when there was still food left on it and the person taking it did not ask us if we were finished with it.
The only complaint I have is that our waiter wasn’t very attentive. We ended up ordering dessert through another waiter. I don’t know if he was new or if he just had too many tables assigned to him.
Service was very good. Portions were plentiful and tasty. A bit pricey
Food was delicious. We both had a wonderful plate of pasta.
Met a friend. Food and ambience were great.
We got good seats on the upper level. Drinks and food came quickly and the ambience was great for a Saturday night. Not too loud
Good apps. Pasta dishes excellent. Don’t get the Branzino fish…wasn’t great. Great service and excellent atmosphere.
We entered the restaurant around 8:45 pm, at our reservation time, we got served 45 mins later. Not even water was served in that 45 minutes. Not an acceptable understanding way of service.
One of our servers was terrible. It wasn't a particularly busy night, but she took our entree orders about 90mins after walk in.
Snarky when I asked about a specific wine she recommended.
Never refilled waters - I had to get up and request a refill at one point.
She was taken over by another waitress (we didn't ask), and this one was fantastic.
Food was meh. Bland pasta.
Drinks were made well.
Ambiance was good!
I know dozens of Italian restaurants who will treat you better for the same value.
Everything was delicious with the exception of the bread to start. It was too salty to be eaten. Our server was wonderful and the decor inside the restaurant is beautiful.
The food was outstanding and our waiter was excellent. Sadly, we were ushered to the mezzanine near a rowdy group whose inebriated antics put a damper on our date night. Not sure what the hostess was thinking when she mixed a couple on date night (specified on the reservation) with a large, loud, group.
Birthday dinner with my grandmother and we both had an amazing experience.
I had the pizza and my guests had pasta dishes. All were very good.
