stuffed with lobster, lemon, béchamel, lobster cream sauce
Enjoyed the lobster ravioli and octopus for a starter. Would go again. Chill ambiance.
Okay experience. Not sure if i would want to go back.
Will return and enjoy the delicious pasta. Excellent service
Great food and ambience for New Year’s Eve celebration
Very good restaurant
Great experience. Good food and great service. Social distanced tables appreciated.
I chose to dine at Cibo Yorkville to catch up with a friend I haven’t seen in a while. The ambiance, food and greeting at the front desk was amazing but the service we got from our server was subpar.
For the entire night, we felt rushed in the service we received. When trying to order drinks and our meals, our server was practically rushing to leave the table before we can get a few more words in. Once our meals came, we were never checked on to see how our meal was or if we needed anything. Not hospitable at all. When the bill came, he only brought one bill when my friend and I wanted separate ones. While trying to explain how exactly we wanted the bill divided between us, our server rudely cuts us off and says “I know how to split the bill.” I’ve dined at Cibo before and have never encountered service like this. These are the type of experiences that stop repeat customers from returning.
I hope a discussion will be had with whoever served my table and the team as a whole.
Good food and the bartender makes a great Cesar!
The menu offers whole wheat pasta but when I ordered it I was told, oh yeah we never have it. The whole reason we went was to have whole wheat pasta. Very disappointing!
Met up with a couple girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. Atmosphere was very relaxed and quiet enough for our party to talk at a nominal volume. That’s a 5 star asset! The restaurant was not too busy and all tables are fairly well spaced or separated by plexiglass for Covid protection. Waitress was sweet and didn’t bother us much, but filled our water glasses often. Food was really good. Dessert sounded better than it tasted.
Our server Mark was fantastic! Great experience from end to end!
We have had better Italian fare at numerous places in the city. Server wasn't very personable with little interaction, zero recommendations and neglected to advise of unavailable menu items which was a disappointment to our teenaged son as he had his heart set on the lobster pasta. Prices aren't unreasonable but necessitate a higher level experience.
super nice for a date night, food wasn’t too expensive and drinks were so good!!!
Our server took over 25 minutes to greet us , the hostess was on her cellphone all night . It is such a shame , as the Cibo on young was such a different experience . Overall good food , but perhaps the staff just need more training on how to serve ?
We went to this restaurant as a Christmas dinner and it was our first time there and we will not be back to say the least. As soon as we entered there was no hostess on the floor and we waited a few minutes for her to come. Our server took a while to take our drink order and appetizer(which we found strange because the restaurant was not as busy as it could’ve been). We waited a long time to put in our main course order and another appetizer order. After 45 minutes of waiting for our meal I followed up with the waitress and she said she would check on it. As soon as she did the food came 2 minutes after asking. Mid meal we received the second appetizer which defeated the purpose of ordering it. The food was great but not exceptional. And of course we waited for the waitress to come take our plates but the manager on the floor took our plates and after waited another 30 minutes I had to ask the hostess to bring the bill to us. It was very disappointing since we heard so many good things and had high expectations. Definitely will not return.
Great food and a great time. Shoutout to the staffing who are going through so much with COVID and protocols
Awful food. Main dishes arrived earlier than drinks and appetizers. If you are looking for microwaved pasta here is the place.
Service was great, food ok
Amazing food and service! Great authentic Italian cuisine.
Ricky our server was great. Very friendly and attentive and was able to answer our questions regarding the menu. I found our seating to be a bit close given the new variant otherwise everything was great. I love the ambience & the food options. Portion sizes were a bit small for the price we paid however this is the new norm with shortages and food prices going up. I would go back!!
Loved this wine bar! Wine and pasta were perfecto! Will be back!
Friendly and professional staff.great food. Perfect night out on a snowy evening in Yorkville.
Food prep and service extremely slow. Took over 45 minutes to an hour to prepare and serve a simple frittata and salad. Waiter provided free desert and coffee.
Good food for the price. Shared the homemade focaccia, radicchio salad both tasty and good portion. Lobster ravioli was my main and very good and well portioned. Ambience is also nice and not pretentious or intimidating.
Although the food was good, it was incredibly disappointing to see the servers and kitchen staff not wearing masks properly or at all. It was actually shocking. We observed 5 kitchen staff in close proximity to each other with masks around their chin and 2 servers. When the server approached our table with his mask below his nose I actually asked him to pull his mask up and he responded with” This is just a virus, I actually don’t believe in it”. I responded with “ all of us here work in a hospital, the virus is serious, please wear your mask properly”.
Civic Wine Bar- please do better. I will be notifying the City of Toronto about our experience with staff not complying with public health measures.
The food is great and the ambience is fantastic. However, the service was not good. Servers were very slow and all staff members weren’t friendly. That ruined the experience at the restaurant for sure!
This is the third time I tried the focaccia, it’s either stale, burnt or both.
Pizza was inedible.
Risotto was congealed, but not specifically bad.
Calamari was good.
Wine is vastly overpriced.
They will pre-select a 20% tip for you.
Loved the restaurant! Waiter was amazing and very attentive! Food and drinks were really good!
Everything was excellent. Food was on point. So many options for everyone. Our server was great. I’ll be happy when they don’t need to wear masks anymore and we can get back to normal.
Was very good overall. The food was good the ambience was quiet, but given the current situation, understandable that not everyone is comfortable going out to eat
Bruschetta came late and it was cold and the bread was not toasted. The servers mask was on and off throughout the meal.
Great experience , nice atmosphere
The food was delicious. I had the branzino, and my friend had the pasta with chicken and pesto sauce. We were in pleasantly surprised. Our servers were amazing. Thank you.
Enjoyed the food, the beautiful atmosphere and great service
Great spot to meet up with friends and reasonably priced considering the location.
This was the perfect place for a Business Lunch. Service was outstanding. Our server put us at ease, allowed for us to take our time to make food and beverage selections and really made me feel confident and comfortable during our dining. With all the Covid-19 restrictions, the restaurant was clean and people were constantly cleaning as each table left. My server wore a mask and maintained a proper distance while answering menu questions. The food was delicious! I would definitely go back for date night with my husband!
The food was really good but the service wasn’t great. We waited an hour on our table just to get water and then another hour to get our food
Noise level very high. Food not great.
Substandard food. The carpaccio was decent but served with a dried out lemon. The pasta was dry and flavourless. The Diavola pizza is best described as take-out pepperoni. Not really what you expect when you’re $150 in.
Our server was amazing but the food was awful and all our plates and cutlery were dirty. Needed them exchanged a few times. Overall, I’d pass on this location. The two other locations are better.
