CinCin Ristorante + Bar Ratings and Reviews
As out-of-towners, we revisited this restaurant after a nice experience a year ago...we will not be back. The service was good, but they were below average in every other regard. The crab/scallop ravioli was the worst dish we have experienced dining out in a long time. The veal/pork tagliatelle was a below average dish at best. Sadly, with so many other dining options in Vancouver, we wish we had chosen differently.
Food is outstanding, wine list extensive (too pricey) and service is attentive. Noise level is too high for such an otherwise exclusive dinner experience.
Waitress very polite and respectful. They know the right time to approach and when give us space to talk. I'm very happy with the service and for sure I'll be there again.
It's a charming Italian restaurant right in the middle of busy Robson St. Started off with a bread basket with a great olive tapenade. Had the Eldelflower Kakkoii cocktail which was too sweet for my taste. The flying squid appetizer was tender and seared beautifully. The crab and scallops ravioli was underwhelming-- flat and not enough filling for you to actually taste the crab or scallops. The duck was a wonderful medium rare and the polenta that with it was pretty good. The char was ok too. Not a bad restaurant, but not terribly exciting either.
Excellent food. Excellent service. The restaurant was romantic and quiet. The staff made us feel comfortable for our anniversary. We really enjoyed our visit. I recommend it to others for special occasions.
Food was good but a tad overpriced. The atmosphere made up for everything else. The service was impeccable.
Great food and service. Found the restaurant very loud. We had a table against the wall and we almost had to shout to each other over the music here. Felt more like a pun than a fine dining restaurant
Good all around! Over the top friendly at the door but not such a bad thing!
We had so enjoyed lunch at Cin Cin in Dec. 2016 that we were determined to try it for dinner on our most recent trip to Vancouver. Jake's service was great--helpful, relaxed, and not intrusive. The flavours of our meals were outstanding. Compliments to Chef Andrew!
Was staying downtown for my wife's birthday and was recommended by concierge at hotel. Food was excellent and service was second to none. Our waiter Robert Z was professional and courteous. He set the standard to which I will gauge waiters in the future.
My Fiance and I had a beautiful dinner here after getting engaged. The front of house met all our needs and more and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The restaurant is beautiful and makes you feel as if you are in southern Italy with its tasteful Italian decor and its beautiful open kitchen centered around its beautiful fir oven.
Beautiful ambiance, great Italian food (coming from a 1st generation Italian) and servers who are there to make sure you have a wonderful experience with a lot of knowledge of the diverse wine list and cuisine.
Thank you for the memorable night!
Our service was impeccable, the food delicious but definitely a bit of a splurge for a Tuesday night. Overall great experience - will return
We had a great time. Our server, Sean, was fantastic. Food was superb and they have great wine list. We sat overlooking Robson and the Christmas lights were beautiful.
As always, CinCin is outstanding in every way. Have never had a disappointing experience there. Go!
My first time eating at the restaurant. Husband brought me here since we were wondering around in downtown. I like the environment and interior design. The food was great, we ordered prawns, risotto, mushrooms, lamb rack, gelato and coffee for dessert.
My husband and I really enjoyed our experience here. The space is really beautiful and definitely not casual, in my opinion, despite what the description says. It’s nicer than jeans and a tee. Definitely a nice date spot for some fresh Italian pasta. A little expensive, but overall it was a good experience.
This visit confirmed for me that CinCin might be the best restaurant in Vancouver (to my subjective self) despite all the great new restaurants out there. That is outstanding for such an "old" restaurant. From incredibly well-cooked fish, vegetarian dishes and just thoughtful, gracious service (with our gluten-free, dairy-free requests). It has been too long since I went there last. I won't make that mistake again.
Portions not great for the price. Lobster was over cooked in the linguine. burrata was good.
Totally overrated. Great friendly service but food mediocre and way overpriced! Hated the stairs. Dangerous for seniors!
The dining experience was excellent as expected. Our server was professional and unobtrusive. His wine selection perfect for the evening. We have been to Cin Cin a number of times over the years and always look forward to returning. Thanks for a great evening.
great food, the desserts are great.
Arrived at 1:00pm - first food order did not arrive until 2:00pm. Pasta entrees were very very small (Gnocchi & Rigatoni dishes) - I left feeling hungry. Ambiance was lovely.
We had the most fabulous lunch!
More than perfection!!
Service was outstanding as was the beet, orange, burrata salad (my fav) with mushroom risotto to follow.
It was an important anniversary and we had a very nice evening. Our server was very kind and professional and just the right amount of attentiveness. The food as usual was mostly fantastic. If I could make one comment it is the lobster pasta could do without so much lemon. Beet salad was very good and the panna cotta was fantastic. Lovely room too
We started with the creamy stracciatella cheese with olive oil, Belgian endive, radicchio and blood orange, next up was the melt in your mouth beef carpaccio with smoked mayonnaise watercress, sourdough croutons – parmesan- so good, on to a well executed risotto of wild mushrooms, chestnuts, burgundy truffle and pecorino al tartufo, and rigatoni with tomato
parmesan, torn basil and olive oil, then fully enjoyed the mixed grilled seafood of crispy and super moist grilled branzino, Arctic char, scallop and prawn with rainbow chard atop panisse and drizzled with anchovy, rosemary and chili for some lovely heat, and finished off with a dessert of limoncello soaked semolina cake with citrus gel and lemon balm. Everything was lovely, the dishes were beautiful and service was outstanding as usual. Standout was the perfect pairing of 2011 Anselmi capitelli passito with the dessert. Will always come back for the amazing food and service. This is why Cin Cin is an award winning restaurant in a city of tough competition.
All I can say is please ignore any negative reviews about this restaurant because none of the things I had read were true! NOT EVEN CLOSE! My fiancée and i have had the luxury of dining at some of the world’s best restaurants in the past year and this one is joining the top of the list. The menu has variety but not a single dish lacked quality. Every dish was seasoned perfectly and they used only the freshest ingredients. Somebody mentioned that their food was bland in another review, that person obviously had a stuffed nose and couldn’t taste what they were eating!
What really made this place stand out was the service. Sylvia is hands down one of the best servers we had ever had! Anywhere! She was friendly and talkative even though the restaurant was getting busier. She didn’t miss any small details like fixing the slightly wobbly table, cleaning even the smallest crumbs off of the table between courses, and was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer any of our questions.
All in all, it’s a top notch restaurant for a fantastic dining experience, particularly a romantic night out, that will certainly not disappoint. If you don’t end up liking this restaurant, you do not know good food and drink. PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
The food was superior. Our waiter was pleasant, helpful and attendant. He enhanced our experience as did the outstanding quality of the food in flavour and presentation.
Beautiful interior, great food, lots of options for everyone. I also enjoyed the meticulously created dessert menu. Everything was tasty!
Greeted by bored young hostess . Waitress not much better. Cocktails were poor. Food was good. Ambience was tired and dated. No offer of where we would like to sit despite mostly empty space. $470 all in for four. Went to Flying Pig the next night, much better service and ambience and less than half the price. Will not return.
My supper was burnt. Too dark to read menu or see the food. My wife has been sick since eating there.
Amazing! The whole staff made this special occasion special!!
Food is always off the charts ...excellent!
We come every USA thanksgiving. Used to enjoy the veal chop. Been missing lately. We miss it. Not the same. Robert, our server, is the best. But he is not a veal chop. Hopefully, it will be back on the menu Presidents’ Day weekend.
Delicious food in a gorgeous setting, with very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return.
Good service and we liked the location, but there’s better, similar food available all over the city for less.
CIn Cin is a good place for a large family or group gathering. Our meals were well prepared and tasty . Server was very busy decided to get dessert elsewhere. Otherwise very good experience.
Food was awful. Chef was having bad night especially with lobster linguine.
Had a lovely evening - attentive service wonderful food - will be back!
It was our first time to BC and we flew in from Portland, OR, USA for 2 nights for my partners birthday for shopping and fine dining. I read so many great reviews about CinCin and because my partner loves Italian food, I knew immediately that I had to bring him here. From the young lady opening the door upon arrival, to the host greeting us with such warmth, we knew right away I made a great decision. I requested a table on their heated patio which overlooks the famed Robson street, and they gave us a table right on the edge of the patio. We were greeted immediately with water and the manager stopped by to wish Chris a happy birthday as well as drop off a signed card from the Sous Chef also wishing Chris a happy birthday. Our server Mike V. was such a delight and created and provided a fun, warm, and entertaining dining experience. Chris enjoyed delicious cocktails that were recommended by Mike, and I enjoyed a delicious Barbera D' Alba wine by the glass for both our appetizer and our main course. The food was nothing short of amazing as was the service. Mike really made it a special evening for us with light conversation and his attention to detail with service. On our way out, the host and the manager bother departed us, and the manager shook both our hands and wished us a great evening. We were already expecting a fabulous dining experience, so we were not shocked when it happened, but we were so grateful and appreciative of how amazing everything was. If you ever get a chance to make it to BC, or if you live in BC, do yourself a favor and dine at CinCin. It was and is a night to remember. Cheers to the entire team of CinCin for delivering an unforgettable experience. Chris and I raise a glass to all of you, and say CinCin! =)
