The Osteria at Cinghiale has the feel of an elegant tavern with white table-cloths and mahogany and leather banquettes. It features a large farm table for a special family-style dining experience.
The Enoteca at Cinghiale celebrates the modern Italian table. It is designed to be a playful section of the restaurant, as well as a gathering place. The space has a lively urban bustle that features rich woods, wrought iron chandeliers and a handcrafted marble tile floor. Adjacent to the main bar is a Salumeria that features traditional meats, cheeses and antipasti.
The menu is complimented by an over 500 label wine list that features Northern and Central Italian wines. World of Fine Wine magazine recognized Cinghiale for having one of the best wine lists in the world for 2016. Outdoor seating is available, weather permitting.
Our waiter was extremely professional. But he was not cordial. He gave me the impression that he did not approve of me as a customer. Perhaps he was having a bad day. I tried to talk to him in a friendly fashion to see if I could lighten his mood, but he avoided engaging and avoided eye contact when he passed. It was disturbing.
My wife enjoyed her meal immensely. I did not think mine was worthy of a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, it was a huge disappointment for me. I will not return.
The service and atmosphere were great - but surprisingly not the food. The presentation was excellent, but the flavors were salty and underwhelming for each in our party of three.
Went here for our anniversary. As usual, it was incredible: from the food, to the ambiance, and the impeccable service. It’s an amazing restaurant worth visiting.
Delicious food, outstanding service, astute wine pairings.
Our first time was disappointing. The hostess was fine. The waiter was slow and inattentive. All four of our party would not order the same meal again (including the desert). Our entres were pork, fish, shrimp and veal. The tomatoes were wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful meal. Even dining off of the restaurant week menu was exceptional. We will be back.
Wonderful dinner, great service and company.
Alessandro was great.
Went for Baltimore restaurant week as a friend's get together and the food was amazing, so much flavor! My friends had the mixed greens salad and I had the burrata with grilled zucchini which we could have easily just kept eating that. One of us ordered the grilled bronzino, and in his words the fish and the skin "were divine." I had the mushroom ragu with pasta (best I've ever had), and my other friend also greatly enjoyed the chicken wrapped in Prosciutto. We got lucky it was 1/2 price for a bottle of wine and got one to split with the table. Servers and staff were professional, efficient and welcoming. We would go back and willingly pay the full menu prices, it is worth the value.
Our go-to for special occasions, Cinghiale never fails to please. Careful, sincere attention is always paid to the food, the wine pairings and the service.
Cinghiale is one of our favorites, but there are times when it really misses. This was one of those times. My husband's duck was cold and my Branzino was also barely warm. I ate it anyway. Everything else was good. We will return and hope for a better experience next time.
Amazing birthday dinner. Food is authentic and very well done. Service was exceptional. Incredible wine list.
It was the perfect spot for a date night. Service was fantastic, the food was delicious and we had a wonderful night.
Superb! A great venue if you want if you want great good!
We had a delicious meal and excellent service. The charcuterie and cheese were exceptional and the pasta was perfect. Andrew was an excellent server - charming, knowledgeable and attentive. We look forward to returning next time we are in town.
Cinghaile is always a great time! My wife and I love it !
I enjoyed every bite, every sip, and was impressed with every member of the staff. I'm still talking about my great experience days later and am inviting friends out just so I can go back. We were there for restaurant week and added the wine pairings - because of course! Our server knew everything about everything and was so pleasant. We also added a chef's choice cheese plate and had a cocktail from the bar before hand. Seriously - everything was perfect. The bronzino was AMAZING. The veal shoulder was delicious. And the desserts?! You must go and have the panna cotta right now. Just go. You'll probably see me there.
The place is nice, it’s just too dark.. my friends have vision problem, they can’t see their food
This is the second or third time I've been to Cinghiale and my first time dining solo: I absolutely loved the welcome, the service, the food, the cocktails, and the wine. Absolutely gorgeous steak. Looking forward to my next visit!
It was our first time at your restaurant and it won’t be the last. Loved the food!
I ate here last about 6 years ago and thought it was some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. I was so excited to eat here again. Six years later, I had the same exact items I had previously...the calamari and lasagna. Booth were bland and the lasagna was terribly dry. Such as shame to see a restaurant lose its quality.
Loved the food! Victor gave super service! It was our first time there and we were pleasesantly surprised.
Juan was awesome-good was fantastic!
We had a wonderful evening!
Ton o crudo didn’t have much flavor, but salad with variety of tomatoes was flavorful, well seasoned.
Cod main course was ordinary, scallops were not any better, overall neither dish was remarkable.
Took my lady out for our anniversary on a Saturday evening. Food was good but not crazy good. I liked the grilled calamari (no breading or anything, never had it that way before). Gnocchi was delicious and soft. My only knock was the strip steak, it comes pre-sliced which I do not like, But still good.
The biggest issues I had was:
1) for the money we paid, it wasn’t that great, so I have to ding the value.
2) As far as service, our server was pleasant and helpful, which was definitely a positive. But we split our check, and my lady found out the next day that her card was swiped twice, and charged twice. I have no idea how this happened, or how it wasn’t corrected right away. I called the manager to explain the situation. There was nothing they could do since the card batch was with the bank, which I get. But no offer of compensation or a gift certificate or anything. I think this is unacceptable. So thumbs wayyy down for management’s handling of their mistake, which was at our expense (literally).
I love the relaxed and cozy feel of this place – I definitely would return to try more dishes. The food was good. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Food was ok, service not so great. Gave my sister an alcoholic drink by accident when she asked for non-alcoholic.
Service was great but the menu options were just not the most appealing.
I chose to have dinner here while visiting Baltimore on a work-related trip. I was intrigued by the various fixed-price menus, and since I was bringing two young teens along, I wanted something that would suit them while also pleasing my more adventurous tastes. Nothing we had disappointed. I chose the 4-course meal with wine pairings, and the others had the 3-course dinners. Our server was amazing, and the rest of the staff whom we encountered were friendly and professional. I wish I lived in the city so that I could eat here all the time!
We originally visit Cinghiale 2 years ago on our annual drive north to NY from NC and loved it. This year, we made reservations again and were not disappointed. The food is fresh, imaginative and delicious. They have a great wine selection and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We wish we had the opportunity to visit more often but it’s a half way stop for us. However, we have recommended it to friends and encourage anyone visiting the Inner Harbor to make it a “must” stop.
Great food and wine. Friendly staff. One of the coolest physical bars in the city.
Thank you very much for making my birthday weekend so memorable! Paul's warm welcome upon our arrival set a light and happy tone for the evening. And let's talk about Andrew for a moment. He could not have been a better match for our dining experience! Andrew's discerning taste and precognition of what a customer may need is extraordinary. His warmth, hospitality and intelligent conversation elevated an already lovely dining experience to "exceptional". The "walk" through Sicily took us to a wine we would have never have considered; and how well it went with each delicious bite! Each course was better than the next and the wine accompanied each one perfectly. I especially enjoyed the artichoke soup, the gnocchi fonduta and the delicious torta de la nonna...
It's been ten years since we last visited Cinghiale. This time we won't stay away so long.
We used to go to Cinghale on a regular basis, but have been frequenting the Atlas Restaurant Group locations lately. Foood here was still very good, but service was horrible. They need to step it up or will lose to the competition.
We tried dining outdoors on a beautiful evening. The downtown scene was lively, youthful and gave us hope that Baltimore may be improving (finally). As usual, the food and wine were excellent and the service was first rate too. After dinner, we strolled along the harbor walkway. It was like being at a Mediterranean resort.
As in the past, the food was very good. Our experience was marred by the poor and slow timing of the cocktails. We waited over 20 minutes for the drinks and when they arrived, so did our first course with paired wine. This was awkward as we didn't want to let the first course get cold while we drank our cocktails. I think the manager should keep a better eye on this timing.
Cinghiale is exceptional. We came here with a gift card we received for our anniversary. The staff was attentive, kind and informative. Our server was wonderfully pleasant, knowledgeable about the dishes and wine. We did the wine pairing with the three course meal and enjoyed every single bite. They knew it was our anniversary so we received a glass of complimentary sparkling wine, which was just so nice of them and it was great with our desserts. We actually got *another* gift card from a family member that night to Cinghiale, and are soooo excited to come back!
I’m so picky & high maintenance when it comes to restaurants. Grew up in New York where bad food goes out of business in 6 months. There is literally not one single bit of constructive criticism I can give to Cinghiale. You absolutely nail it! EVERYTHING from the service, the wine selections, the quality of the food, the acoustics, the ambiance, the ease of parking, the comfort of seating, the attentive staff. Incredible! Second time there and been profoundly impressed both times. Will be back for sure. Thank you!
I was at Cinghiale's for a winetasting dinner, and was highly impressed with wine, food, and service
The restaurant experience was very good. Only complaint is that my husband ordered the lamb medium to well and it came out very rare. Hard to take back as it was sliced so he took my duck.
They have an amazing wine bar and the staff is both knowledgeable and attentive, food was delicious can’t wait to go back!
