The Osteria at Cinghiale has the feel of an elegant tavern with white table-cloths and mahogany and leather banquettes. It features a large farm table for a special family-style dining experience.
The Enoteca at Cinghiale celebrates the modern Italian table. It is designed to be a playful section of the restaurant, as well as a gathering place. The space has a lively urban bustle that features rich woods, wrought iron chandeliers and a handcrafted marble tile floor. Adjacent to the main bar is a Salumeria that features traditional meats, cheeses and antipasti.
The menu is complimented by an over 500 label wine list that features Northern and Central Italian wines. World of Fine Wine magazine recognized Cinghiale for having one of the best wine lists in the world for 2016. Outdoor seating is available, weather permitting.
Wonderful from the start. James was fantastic. Made excellent recommendations and paced our meal beautifully. Well done!
Cinghiale rarely disappoints. The atmosphere and service creates a relaxed space for everyday, but still can feel like a special night out or business dinner space. Attentive staff. Patient with questions and generous with descriptions about the food and wine. Main courses and wine pairings wonderful. I would normally rate food as 5 stars, but tonight the the soup had a bitter taste one might expect with asparagus, but it was still out of balance with the cream. The bite of cheese crisp floating on the soups surface provided the needed balance, but it lasted only two bites. I look forward to their soups so was disproportionately disappointed. Otherwise a perfect experience.
The food was fantastic. The service was wonderful. We wish we had been coming here sooner.
Food and service always excellent
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Cinghiale. The food was good, but the services was impeccable!
I was looking at wines priced around $15 and asked for assistance was given a wine for $25 which I thought was quite expensive.
Food was good. Service was poor. Server could not be bothered by our questions. We are a party of six and had to
Pull out of her the information on the menu. She had no suggestions. When asked if a dish was good or recommended she responded I don’t know I’m allergic to seafood. When ordered a bottle of wine and she came back that they did not have it she did not suggested another selection or ask us if we wanted a new choice but said I got you the one below it on the menu. We drank it Bc we did not want to wait again for another bottle.
Overall food was good. Bit overpriced but expected that. A lot of other fine restaurants in the area to try but may go back again. The fresh cheese and prosciutto was excellent thought. Definitely worth a glass of wine and enjoy the charcuterie plate!
Food was fantastic. I had the duck. Highly recommend. The service was a bit slow. 3 courses took every bit of 2 hours. We were seated for 20 minutes before we were able to order. Luckily we had already grabbed drinks at the bar before sitting down.
We waited 45 minutes for our table, and were treated to an appetizer at the bar. Menu is complete but quality is just average. Wine list is complete with Italian wines, that cost $15 for a simple pour of from a screw top bottle.
I love this place but unfortunately the 3 of us who dined together each ordered a different pasta. No exaggeration they each lacked flavor and even more odd, they all tasted the same. We had to ask for salt. That should never happen. Maybe just an off night, sure hope so. Charcuterie was amazing as was the celery root soup. That is why the pasta entrees were so disappointing
One of our favorite places to eat. Love atmosphere. Food always fabulous. Never disappointed
Great service. Excellent food. Wonderful atmosphere. You wont be sorry
The risotto is always superb. Grilled calamari, crispy carrots, mussels with linguine, cocoa tagliatelle with mushrooms, all beautifully presented and an explosion of tastes.
The menu is huge, with items across a wide range of price ranges, and options for people with a variety of dietary limitations (celiac, vegetarian, vegan). Everything was wonderful food wise and noise wise; the only issue was that service was very slow. But we were in no rush, and the kitchen sent out plates of calamari as an apology, so we were quite content.
3 things that made our dinner not too perfect:
1. My daughter’s pasta was too al dente
2. My lasagna was dry
3. Our seats had no cushions and I was sore by the end of our meal
For the amount I paid, I was not thoroughly satisfied. I don’t think we will be coming back here.
It has not changed much since the first visit, and that's a good thing.
The service is great as usual and the food is very good, despite the changed menu.
The inexpensive Tuscan red wine was better than expected.
First time on a Sunday evening, and it was a great.
Great experience ! Sat in the Teca and had the five course meal with wine pairing. It was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. Service was fabulous ! When back in area would visit again.
Delicious modern Italian fare! Service is excellent, and the food never disappoints.
I'm not sure if they were just having an off night or if the quality has started to slip. Cinghiale used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but I unfortunately left unimpressed. Everything was still delicious, it just wasn't quite like it used to be. Also we were there celebrating and our server very kindly brought out two complimentary desserts. However, they never asked us what we would have liked. I know this is sort of an odd complaint, and I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but the desserts they brought out were both coffee-centric, which is something my friend and I would have never ordered. So as a result we reluctantly picked at them out of guilt. Again I truly appreciate the gesture, just not so much the execution.
The food was so delicious and the service was excellent!
You know, I have always enjoyed Chingale, however this time was not the best. The decibel level was extreme and I had such a terrible plate of pasta I had to send it back. Many items on the menu seemed to be rather drab and uninspired.
All previous times have been stellar, so I'm not sure what happened, but it was disappointing.
Cinghiale is a good place to go for a special dinner or a night out with friends. The wine list is excellent and the food options are all very good. The decor is attractive and the ambiance comfortable, with just enough "buzz."
Still remembering the delicious dinner we had days ago. Food preparation was a whole different level of perfection; creative and elegant, but not weird. Waitstaff is very attentive. The menu has variety to please every palate and appetite size. Free valet parking made it easy to arrive without hassle. looking forward to returning.
We arrived slightly early. Had wanted a quiet booth to talk, but not available. Food was OK. Waiter was quite directive in his suggested choices. Service was prompt.
I was not impressed by their food and service especially the unfriendly host. They also marked me no show on Opentable for whatever reason. Besides their funny service, food was way overpriced and underwhelming. It was $35 for 3 tiny pieces of pork that were extremely tough and tasted/smelled just like pig. I think it takes multiple wrongs to make a really bad dining experience and somehow they did nothing right.
Thank you for the wonderful experience I especially appreciate the help from a young lady who were advising us on the menu
Could use a little more lighting in the formal dining area. Brussel sprout appetizer had hard seeds in it. Gnocchi was delicious. Wait staff was great.
Always great. We got a fixed price 4 course with wine pairings. It's about $240 for a couple, but the food and wines are genius.
Food awesome. Ambiance awesome. Table service and staff however could have been more attentive and personable. They seemed rushed and hurried.
Food, drinks, and service were amazing! Victor is so knowledgeable and amazing!
Was lovely. We go often & they know us
Loved our evening there but noise level was pretty high. Might try more formal dining room next time
We were at Cinghiale for a girl’s night/weekend special dinner. Wonderful meal. Delicious food and professional but fun service.
Just average food. Nice wait staff though.
My husband and I LOVE the shrimp and spaghetti dish and the porcini mushroom tagliatelle. We enjoyed the cheese platter. We found a great chardonnay that was just what we like and will come back for it on Tuesday's half price bottle of wine night. We always feel so welcome and as locals we appreciate the staff going out of their way to come over and say hello.
Fancy Italian food and drinks, great location on the water in Harbor East, top-notch service.
We had an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner! The food was outstanding. We decided to go with the wine pairings for our meal, which all of them were spot on delicious when paired with the course! The service was professional with the appropriate amount of engagement! We loved it and look forward to returning as a “GO TO” restaurant of choice in Baltimore!
Food amazing. Service amazing. Restaurant is beautiful. Prices are reasonable - especially for alcohol. What more can I say.
My wife and I went for our first meal here. We were made to feel welcome. Friendly and attentive staff all around. Her experience and mine were quite different as far as the food goes. We both did the fixed four course dinner option. We both had different food for each course. Her meals were fantastic! Each and every one was fresh, full of flavor and savory. Mine were all disappointing. Calamari was chewy, pasta was too al dente and the veal was tough and chewy. All had great flavors but the full dish didn't deliver. The service was great, our experience with the sommelier was wonderful and the wine was unique and just great!
