Cioppino's Mediterranean Grill
One of the best dining experiences in Vancouver. Chef Pino and Celestino are great!
Wonderful food, service. And ambience.
Very attentive service. Our server knew the menu and wine list exceptionally well. Pleasant greetings upon arrival and deputy all staff. A wonderful experience.
Very pleasant meal with good service. Extensive wine list which should cater to all tastes. The scallop starter was fantastic.
The food was excellent, as always but two tables near us were particularly loud
Wonderful! Food and service were impeccable!
Cheers to the Chef Pino!
What a fantastic experience at Cioppino's. First, the service was exceptional. Our Italian waiter was excellent, attentive and not intrusive. We never had to ask for a water or wine refill. The food was amazing as well. It is Italian done really well. The restaurant feels homey on an elevated level. Friendly, inviting and tasty above all. We will return again and again. It is now our favourite spot in Vancouver.
Went for a specific event and requested a quieter area, were seated in the side area of the restaurant with only one or two other tables seated, was very nice and quiet. The waiter who attended to us during the evening was very pleasant, easy to talk to, and shared a lot of interesting knowledge about various topics. He was very attentive and quick to remove used dishes replenish drinks, and have an excellent knowledge of the menu.
The food that we ordered was fantastic - very similar to the food we had become accustomed to eating while in Tuscany. Simple ingredients and preparations, but all done with excellent ingredients and attention to detail on balance of flavour, especially on the risotto al limone. Overall favourite of the meal (out of 8 dishes) was the octopus form the appetizer menu - extremely tender and can only complain that there was not more.
Very satisfied wit the level of service provided, the quality and taste of food, and the attention to detail throughout the evening. Would highly recommended.
Excellent service and the food was great.
This restaurant is so reliably outstanding its unbelievable. Everything - the service, the food, the ambiance - always perfection.
Our waitress was so pushy and was rushing us to order. Within 1/2 hr. Of our reservation we were eating our appetizers and dinner was on the table shortly after the appetizer dishes were cleared.
Very excellent preparation and flavor. The quality was very evident. However, for the price of each dish I couldn't help but think that the portions could be a touch larger. Our server was exceptionally attentive and made sure we were constantly satisfied.
While originally intended for a nice evening for 3 couples, we ended with an evening of 4. The service and food was exceptional. It is our third visit and we were never disappointed despite very high expectations
We had not been to Cioppino's in almost 10 years, and had very fond memories of meals there. It was great to not be disappointed - the food was absolutely excellent from start to finish. Service is fast and un-obtrusive, though our server seemed distracted to the point of occasional inattentiveness (having to ask for dessert menus as they were not offered is a bad idea - they have great desserts). We had a table for 2 near the kitchen and if you want additional entertainment, I would recommend a similar spot - was quite fascinating to watch while chatting.
We are already recommending Cioppiono's to others. Have a wonderful dinner and the servers were so lovely and friendly.
Food was fantastic !! Will be returning soon
By far, this now my #1 restaurant in Vancouver. Outstanding in every possible way.
Everything was ahhhmazing. Great service and food.
The overall experience was everything you could ask for. Service was excellent, food and presentation impeccable, and the space is beautiful. We were not rushed in any way and enjoyed the whole dinner.
Never disappoints and always outshines expectations
Awesome dinner. The food was delicious. We enjoyed outstanding tuna carpaccio (from Nagasaki and lightly seasoned), lobster linguini (sauce delicious and size was perfect), grilled sablefish (light with soy sabayon), and maple creme brûlée for dessert (perfect touch of maple). The service was friendly and attentive (why can’t I remember her name! Sorry!). Out server even provided us with a list of local restaurants near our hotel to enjoy during our stay (although we could eat here everyday!). A wonderful dining experience with some of the best food ever experienced.
Friendly staff. Waiter offered many options including specials of the day. Excellent food. Try the sable fish.
Love the food.
The service and food were excellent as usual.
An outstanding Italian Gourmet experience. We visit this restaurant at least once a month just to get our Italian fix of exceptional and exquisite pasta dishes and their classic secondo courses of lamb, duck, fish, plus more. When available their Foie Gras is to die for and so are their soups. In summary this place offers an amazing service, delicious food, and a collection of exceptional wines
Cioppinno's continues to be one of the Vancouver restaurants that all others are judged against. Outstanding food with great creativity and beautiful presentation. Everything is fresh, as local as possible and prepared perfectly. My duck was fantastic. The vegetarian in the group had the pasta feature and was very impressed. My wife had the cioppinno, loved it. The halibut was excellent as was the sturgeon. Appies included the lobster bisque, wild prawns (really good) beet and goat cheese salad and the mixed battered seafood. Desserts included maple syrup creme brulee, organic lemon tart and warm chocolate cake. All delicious and all very well presented. Service was attentive and professional. The room is very nice and the noise level is reasonable for a busy restaurant. We were able to converse without having to shout. Great time and highly recommended.
Excellent service. Main courses were very well done. Calimari appetizers were very tender.
Dessert was fabulous. We ordered the warm chocolate cake, cannolo and creme broulet. They were not overly sweet, which is perfect for us. We were also presented with a complimentary chocolate mousse because it was my wife's birthday. The mousse was also very tasty. My teenage kids did not appreciate this restaurant's food and preferred quantity over quality.
We were greeted by the owner and the waitress was exceptional. Asked if there was an occasion and gave a nice looking tasty dessert free of charge. The only fuuny thing was we couldnt locate the entrance and its tricky. The food was average with some good ones...wine was delightful though. I loved tge ambience of the setting.
We had an excellent meal and lovely evening. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Our food was exceptional. And to top it off, we were able to meet the chef. It was impressive to see the chef routinely walk through the dining room, talk to patrons and clear tables. We will definitely be back whenever in Vancouver!
Everything was excellent! The organic mushrooms were divine. The lobster pesto was a brilliant combination of flavors and the lobster bisque was exquisite. And I can’t recommend the cannoli for dessert enough!!
The food and service was absolutely amazing - NEW FAVOURITE ITALIAN & MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT IN VANCOUVER. We ordered 4 appetizers to share and 4 main dishes - all had mouth-watering presentation at and tasted delicious. The servers were also very courteous and assisted with selecting drinks, deshelling seafood and splitting the shared appetizers. I highly highly recommend Cioppino's.
We traveled from Oregon to Vancouver and one of the reasons is how amazing this restaurant is! Gnocchis like little pillows! Service amazing and food excellent!!!
Our server was so attentive and professional throughout the duration of our dinner. The food was UNBELIEVABLY good. Great spot to dress up and go out on a date night or with your friends. Also great for family! Can’t wait to go back!
The best Italian food in Vancouver. Great wine list.
Great service, food was amazing! They even gave us a complimentary dessert because it was our anniversary. We will definitely be dining there again
Service was stellar, as was the food. We were surprised it wasn’t busier, although we ate quite early (pre-show). It wasn’t even that busy when we left though. Mainly old people in there and tourists wearing grungy shorts.
The look of the room was pretty dated. I liked the darkness of the room but no matter how dim the lights are the ‘80’s terracotta is there. Lots of questionable art on the walls. The space could use an upgrade.
Food was fantastic. The ribeye was a dream! Can’t wait to go back. Wine list was deep too - and pricey.
Excellent meal with friends including one who is celiac (rare find among Italian restaurants).
The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delightful. Hubby had a Beef dish with risotto. I had the fettuccine bolognese. We had a artichoke and tomatoes appetizer. The tomatoes were soaked in something yummy and amazing. Very tasty. We also had wine and dessert. ALL to die for. Ambience was super beautiful. Wood cabinetry full of wine bottles surrounding you.
