   Had a great dinning experience at Citizen Public House. We ordered the meatloaf and the Chopped Smoked Salmon Salad. Both entries were so delicious. In fact the chopped salad was one of the best I have ever eaten. Our server Scotty was welcoming and went above and beyond to make a great evening out. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Scottsdale.

   Our server Emma was great, the meatloaf is the best we've ever had anywhere. I ordered the halibut on the restaurant week menu, it was ok but dry and rather tasteless. The bread pudding was bland. Good wine list, but limited by the glass. Very nice to dine and then stroll through Old Town. Overall we enjoyed and we will return.

   Chef Bernie has his team running on all cylinders. My girlfriend had the chopped salad for the first time and was floored. I have been eating it since it was the Stetson Chopped at Cowboy Ciao. The meatballs appetizer was wonderful as well. For entrees, she went with the short ribs and I had the meatloaf. Both were exceptional Dessert she had the blackberry ginger sorbet, and i had the bread pudding. She had a daquiri and I had a glass of Zin. Both were yummy. Service was friendly (James was great) and attentive. I have been coming to CPH since it first opened, and it has always been top notch.

    Came for Restaurant Week and felt like we didn't really get the true experience of the restaurant. Some restaurants really use Restaurant Week as an opportunity to gain new customers and put their best foot forward. This menu felt more like an obligation. The portions were smaller than the regular menu, and the food was unimpressive. My chicken was dry, my partner's greens were tough, and the bread pudding was poorly plated and overbaked. If you've been to The Gladly or another one of their concepts you can skip Citizen Public House.

    This is one of our favorite restaurants in Scottsdale! Food is always just incredible and so is the service! Every dish we have eaten here has been outstanding! Right in Old Town, has an outdoor patio, dining room or you can sit at the bar. They also have private rooms for group events. Citizen Public House never disappoints!

    There is very little to complain about CPH, as it's arguably our favorite spot in Old Town. The only suggestion I have is to do something about the acoustics in the main dining/bar area. It is always very loud due to the concrete floors and hard surfaces. Otherwise 10/10!

    Overall the experience was real good. I ordered the wrong dish in this restaurant. I ordered a hamburger. It was small and below par. I had to remove the bun so I can taste the burger. The ladies liked there scallops. The appetizer was also good.

    The restaurant was a bit loud, but it was a Friday night. Wait staff was superior. Food is good, but need to go back to order entree. To be fair, we shared an appetizer and we each had a salad. I would need visit again to give a fair review. If you are looking for a restaurant who cares about pleasing customers and providing a food experience, don’t hesitate.

    I was a great meal, and Eric our server was fantastic… We have never been disappointed in the food… But… The noise level was off the chart! My wife and I really had to raise our voices to speak to each other. When we arrived, there were tables out on the patio, but no silverware set so we thought that was not available… Halfway through our meal they started seating people out there… Wish we would’ve known as we would’ve headed right there. It’s always a challenge at this great restaurant, but last night was a lot!

    Food was unexciting. Much more show than substance. Would not recommend. Highly touted chopped salad very disappointing. Dressing had an underlying taste that was unpleasant. Similar with the crab cakes. Flavours were not harmonious. Too much chilli? Or maybe just way way too much salt.

    Our server Amanda was awesome. We initially set out side and underestimated the heat. We were there early but it quickly filled up, however she was able to get is in the AC - Thank you! The Cobb Salad, halibut and short ribs were outstanding. As was the beer cheese appetizer.

    Food was good, service was great but the place was way too loud! I forgot how loud it was to go out to dinner especially in Old Town...won't do that again. The restaurant was great except for the noise level. Took out of town guests there and could barely talk to one another. I am glad they like the real young crowd, I hope they tip as well as we do!

    Always a favorite spot in Old Town. We usually order combination of items from happy hour menu (if we are there before 6:"00 pm) and regular menu and have never been disappointed. Of course, you almost have to have the original chopped salad! Prices are a bit on the high side even for happy hour but the ambience and quality of food and drinks makes it worthwhile occasionally.

    Fabulous all around. The original chopped salad is by far the best salad we’ve ever had. The short ribs and scallops were delightful entrees. If you’re a fan of great restaurants (a la Gramercy Tavern in NYC, Chez Panisse in Berkeley) do not miss Citizen Public House. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Scottsdale! 10/10 on all aspects.
