Claddagh Irish Pub - College Park
Lunch & Dinner: Monday - Thursday: 11:00am - 12:00am, Friday & Saturday: 11:00am - 2:00am, Sunday: 11:00am - 11:00pm
Could not register our bill on the Claddagh card I have had for several years. This was frustrating. Not one of our best visits!
Went for dinner with a friend. Got in promptly and service was very nice. The food was very good!!
Our one complaint was the portion of the Irish Stew. My guess is that this is ordered primarily by men. My husband went home and ate a piece of chicken due to the very small amount of meat. Ratio between the mashed potatoes and the meat was way off.
Just awful. First off I was hungry and asked the waitress for pretzels to start with. She forgot and brought the salad and when I mentioned I’d like to cancel the pretzels she accommodated my request but told me they come after salad. It’s just annoying because I asked specifically. Anyone, on to the main dish. I ordered the “chicken spinach rice.” It sounded sort of healthy. Ugh, they should not be able to claim spinach as a main ingredient. It looked like dehydrated parsley. The two chicken breasts were salty and dried out and sitting on rice that was floating in a sad puddle of salty buttery oil. It was hardly eatable.
The entire restaurant looked like it needed a nice bucket of hot water & Dawn dish soap and elbow grease. If your going to have lacquered walls in your restaurant, make sure there clean.
This place a gross.
Every Monday - 2 for 1 amazing Fish and Chips dinner.... that's all you need to know.
Good time with the family and mother-in-law
It was good! I had the veggie burger. The fries were great, and the little thing they came in was adorable. My sister had the pulled pork tacos, and my grandma had the trout. She loved the trout.
We sat outside and had a nice time celebrating my colleague’s work anniversary. Food was good and tasty. Irish bar food well done.
Concern was after lunch when we went inside to use restroom. Decor was old and unkept. Floors were dirty and sticky. Bathroom trash was over full. This was at 12:30pm!!! Could only imagine the kitchen.
Selections was less than the last time we were there. Nothing special about the food. If I wanted to eat out of skillet, I would have stayed home. Table was sticky even after the waitress wiped down (twice). Maybe the towel she used was (dirty) sticky. My wife and I discussed immediately after leaving and decided that we would not be returning. Sorry. Won't see you guys on T.V.
Great place for fish on Mondays with their BOGO event.
If I see a Claddagh, i go to it!
Horrible dining experience! Will not visit this restaurant again!
Was not happy with the service today we had 14 of us for Mother's Day. The table was dirty the service was very slow had to ask for silverware and plates. Was not happy at this restaurant for Mother's Day would probably not go back.
We had a garlic allergy in our party, our server was very careful to research ingredients to make sure she did not get garlic in her meal. We are very pleased with her concern.
The Irish stew was excellent. Menu selection is pretty good, decent number of traditional Irish fare. Recipes seem to be fairly authentic. Prices are a bit on the high side but are in line with what you get. Not a late night place, gets pretty empty by 11. Definitely will go back to try other stuff.
John the new manager has his work cut out for him but he’s trying
We will continue to support the restaurant as long as he keeps trying to improve on the service from his staff
The service was very slow - the waitress did not even ask if we wanted more drinks. Ended up getting g free dessert due to poor service ( but it wasn’t good). The fish was really good. Too bad service there has declined . 🙁
VERY disappointed at our visit HOWEVER I did reach out to them and they responded quickly and we may try to return. IF we do, we hope that the level of cleanliness and attentiveness will improve.
Great atmosphere! I had the Galway Stew from the Lent menu and it was divine!
The fish n chips were really good and our server was great!w
Food was excellent. Had a room to ourselves, 6 people. Could accommodate 8 but would be cramped. Fish was outstanding (Monday buy one fish dinner get one free); did not skimp,on food bc of freebie. Fish took up entire plate. Everything was top notch. Return visit.
We arrived early for our reservation but were seated immediately which is the only good thing that happened that night. Our wine came in whiskey glasses. Said they were out of wine glasses? The waiter took our order for starter salads and entrees. He brought our entrees 25 minutes later without ever bringing the salads. They did take them off our bill. My salmon was seasoned wonderfully but over cooked. My husbands steak was cooked correctly but had way too much pepper on it. The sides were excellent. Overall, we will probably not go back.
Super yummy food! Good service. We stayed and talked with friends and never felt pressured to leave.
Table was sticky. Server upsold us on a salad—which came before our appetizer— then dinner came with side salad. Grr.
Fish & chips were so-so, fish was soggy.
Disappointing. Thirty-plus-minutes wait for food was very odd considering others who came after did not have same (perhaps just timing of our order). Anyway, Irish stew had a good flavor but just warm, not hot, and it did not seem to have much of any meat.
Heather our server was great. Made nice recommendations.
Reserved on open table. Got there a few min early and our table was ready. Lobby was full of others waiting. They have the best fish & chips around. Great service, great wine, great food all go with the great friends that met up. We will be back.
The fish n onion rings was like drinking cooking oil with the food. their are healthier ways to cook fish n onions to make them crisper with less oil.
Excellent dinner special for Valentine's day. We come here often and have never had a complaint about anything
The food and drinks are great! Great place for Irish food with friends and family. They’re always able to accommodate big and smal parties.
It was interesting, we were a table of 5, the restaurant was not busy but a table of 6 was seated right next to us. We were at a banquet that shared a bench...
The table was still dirty when we were seated. The wine glasses were still wet when we were served. Cleanliness was not up to par.
They were very busy and it was a fun environment, but the place wasn’t clean, and the food was cold by the time it was served.
Group of 8, several different orders and all had outstanding meals.
We sat in the back room on a cold night after a Movie. Very cozy, fireplace, not too loud for conversation. Perfect casual dinner with friends!
Service was poor
Missed food items in ordering
Food was OK
Beer was great
Cleanliness needs to be better
Very good food and service. We had a nice relaxing time.
Good place, food was “ok”.. great place to hang out with friends or even for the family
Claddagh Irish Pub - College Park is a pleasant place to get a hearty meal and visit with friends and family.
Our art class went to celebrate the end of the semester we spent together, at School craft College! We love knowing one another and talking about our favorite subject---art!
The atmosphere of this Irish Pub was a spectacular addition to our conversation. Our server was excellent! Food was delicious! We will go again!
I reserved online, the week prior and they were all ready for us!
Kudos to Claddah!
